Even though I started this video with a smile, I was out of breath towards the end. Bring your patience if you decide to cruise from Norfolk and park your car in the Cedar Grove parking lot in downtown Norfolk. This is my shocking experience on May 21st 2022. Having never cruised from Norfolk, I had no idea how frustrated and tired I would be by the time I got to my stateroom. I decided to park my car here because it's the one on Carnival's website they suggest passengers use. The line of cars to get into the parking lot was long and traffic was backed up for miles. Then once you park your car there is another line to stand in to board the shuttle buses that take you from the parking lot to Nauticus where the Carnival Magic is. After that there is another overwhelming wait in another long line inside of Nauticus to show your boarding pass and covid test results using Verifly so you can board the ship.
