All this food looks SO amazing 🤩 Thank you for sharing ! Can’t wait for our cruise in 21 days !!! We enjoyed watching y’all for a week and all the pro tips ! Thanks again !
Hi! Great video! But I need to help you guys out. Firstly, fried dough is NOT fried dough… there IS a difference here in New Orleans 😉 we Pride ourselves on setting ourselves apart. I wanted to cringe every time y’all said that LOL Also, the town where the meat pies are from is pronounced Nak-Oh-Tish ☺️ Plan a Christmas Time trip! Their lights are second to none!!!!!! Papa Noel is magical in Natchitoches, Louisiana ⚜️ Muffuletta is pronounced Moof-uh-lotta. Another cringe fest when said 😂😂😂 we take our foods seriously! I’m not a fan. But thrilled to hear they got the bread right. The olive salad is not a tapenade, btw. The bread & olive salad are key ingredients. The BBQ Shrimp were nothing like authentic NOLA recipe when we were on the ship - we gave the chef our recipe. He was so gracious! We loved the beignets, too!!!! Not quite authentic, but very close. We loved the shrimp scampi!!! Better than any other we have ever had!!!! Best thing about New Orleans cuisine is that if it isn’t all over your face or up to your elbows messy - it ain’t right & you ain’t eatin good food! Most people eat to live but in New Orleans we live to eat!
Thanks for the feedback! We absolutely love visiting New Orleans, and always get the names wrong lol so good to know. (Here in Austin we do the same thing when people mispronounce stuff related to our city so we get it 👍) Also should have clarified, the “fried dough is fried dough” comment is a little inside joke between us that we picked up from a tv show we used to watch called “Outsourced” 😂
Thanks well said. I was like 🤦🏾♂️ evertime they said fried dough is fried dough and missed pronounced words. Louisiana is so different from any other state and so proud it's my home state.
@@skylaranderson3885 sorry! Definitely not trying to offend or anything by mispronouncing stuff, we appreciate the corrections! We are always learning, that’s the great thing about seeing new places and meeting new people ❤️
@@RandomRecess no offense taking. I love ❤️ the video and excited that so many love the Louisiana culture. It all in fun. I live up north now and how I pronounce certain things people be like.... huhhhh😃
@@skylaranderson3885 Louisiana is so underrated it’s criminal. We are planning on going back to New Orleans soon, it’s one of our favorite cities. The food, the music, the atmosphere… there really is no other place like it, and the people in LA are always so nice!
Emeril's Bistro is better than Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. The Steakhouse did not have WAGYU beef that I booked it for, & the Bone Marrow was COLD 🥶 . Shrimp & Grits, Jambalaya, Po Boy, & Red Beans & Rice. I ate there pretty much everyday.
We just went to the beach which is right off the port. No excursion needed at Grand Turk if you just want the beach but get off the ship early if you want a free chair, they are limited and go fast.
Emeril’s is a la carte which was confusing for us too. Usually the specialty dining is prix fixe but it was different here. It was worth every penny and the portions are good.
Totally agree!! We had a bit to drink lol. We also just started so it’s a learning process. Appreciate the feedback. Subscribe to stay updated on all our new videos. We’ll be back in Vegas real soon.
Yes! OMG we loved it so much and honestly was some of the best food on the ship. We also felt like the quick service food like the Piazza Panani was a huge step up and that is included. That steak sandwich is perfection. Everything we ordered at Emeril’s was great.
