Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Sunrise sails year round from Port Miami offering 4 & 5 night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.
The 2,984 guest Carnival Sunrise actually started in service as the former Carnival Triumph in 1999. 20 years later in 2019, Carnival completed a $200 million transformation and renamed the vessel Carnival Sunrise. At that time many of Carnival Cruise Line's most popular features were added like the SportSquare, Carnival WaterWorks, new staterooms and suites, new dining, revamped spa and much more.

That was the ship we cruised on in December 2021 and was our first cruise post pandemic. Sunrise didn't get the epic makeover that Destiny got when turned into the Sunshine but definitely updated. The engines vibrated horribly, and you could feel them in our cabin Portside aft on deck 6. I thought the engine was about to throw a piston! The same cabin location on Carnival Sunshine had no such issue. Still, it was great we were on a cruise again!

2019 not really that ships “maiden voyage” That would be 1999 as Carnival Triumph. Ship that hosted the “poop cruise”. lol

Hi tclark1122, thanks for watching. As Carnival Sunrise it was the maiden voyage. I don't know what the fascination is with the Triumph poop cruise thing! Carnival did a complete bow to stern refurbishment and the ship looked like new.

@@TalkingCruise I was just sayin when you say “sunrise’s maiden voyage” some people will think that is the first time that ship set sail. Which is what that means. Its maiden voyage is 1999 as Triumph and 2019 as sunrise. No fascination at all. Just informative detail.
