Your business model of making money by empowering people with knowledge of the body to live healthier is much appreciated. Imagine if this went mainstream 👌🏽 new world where people know how to care for themselves instead of relying on business models that lose money on with this

Love watching your carnivore journey. I started 6 months ago. I do have occasional cheese, sour cream and the occasional cucumber slices. Eat 2 meals a day and intermittent fast 16/8. I am never hungry and no longer crave anything sugary. That alone is a win! Feel so much better! We're on the right road!

The carnivore diet has completely changed my life . I spent almost 8 year in bed and was extremely ill . High fat carnivore has turned my life around. I'm still healing but 5 months in and the changes are miraculous ❤️

@@Dr_Abs I have had problems with cortisol levels and adrenaline releasing into my system in huge amounts that it would wipe me out for days even at times being physically sick. Also my nervous system was hugely dysregulated because of huge amounts of trauma and stress . Since being very high fat carnivore I'm no longer in bed for days at a time. I'm still in recovery yes and early days but the changes so far or pretty amazing. I can't ever see myself not being a carnivore.

A person should not be in ketosis 24/7. That will impact your metabolic rate, thyroid function, kidney function all in a negative way. To those people who talk about wanting to be in ketosis and stay in ketosis all the time, it's not a good idea. A human is designed to drift in and out of ketosis during a 24-hour period. In the 4 to 6 hours postprandially after your one meal, you won't be in ketosis. Your body absorbs all of that nutrients, partitions it off, and sends it where it needs to go. Then over the next 10-12 hours the blood pressure and blood sugar starts to drop slightly. By the end of the next 10 to 12 hours is likely when your ketone level will be the highest. It provides the ketones when the blood sugar drops below a certain set point because you haven't eaten for 12 to 16 hours. If you split the same amount of food into three or four meals, you might not get the same response and you might struggle. The human body has several tissues that absolutely require glucose to function. If you were to remove all the glucose from your circulation, from your blood, all the glucose that's stored in your muscles, all the glucose that's stored in your liver, drain your body of glucose, you will die within about 4 and a half minutes. From that point, your brain requires glucose to run. It will not run without glucose and you will die. Most people will try and fool you with, "Ah, so your brain needs glucose. Without glucose in your brain, you're going to die, so you better eat some glucose," obviously is what they'll say. That completely ignores the fact that the human body is capable of making all the glucose it needs itself from non-glucose precursors via a process called gluconeogenesis. It is a demand driven process. These precursors are the glycerol backbones from triglycerol molecules, fat molecules. So, a fat molecule is a glycerol with three fatty acid chains off it. We use the fatty acid chains for energy. The glycerol is left behind which we can turn that into sugar. Lactate is produced mostly through muscle metabolism, but not entirely through muscle metabolism, but there's a level of lactate that's in your blood at all times. If that level of lactate starts to build up, then your body is more than capable of using that lactate to form sugar, for example. It's important to note these never go directly into the blood stream, but stay in the liver until needed. It's simply impossible for them to give you excessive blood sugar. A third example of one of these non-glucose precursors is, there are several of the amino acids that make up proteins that can be transmuted into glucose as well. While your body can burn other amino acids, in general it does very little of this because for many amino acids, gluconeogenesis produces dangerous byproducts like ammonia. Gluconeogenesis becomes supply driven when you are in a starvation state with a lack of sufficient body fat and eat low fat or low carb with lean protein. Even within normal ranges of protein, you will raise insulin for protein synthesis, while not excessive, but enough to slow down the release of fat (glycerol & free fatty acids) from the adipocytes due to its effect on hormone sensitive lipase. Enough of an energy deficit will raise cortisol and ramp up excessive gluconeogenesis to make up the difference in energy needs mainly from amino acids because there is very little glycerol in circulation and so putting to circulation far too much ammonia and other metabolites. While eating a diet of only very low fat rabbit meat in a hospital ward, a man started to show signs of rabbit starvation after only a few days. It was not that he ate excessive protein that caused a problem, but the lack of energy consumed triggered the body to perform excessive gluconeogenesis. You can't claim that gluconeogenesis is very stressful because it uses very little energy. It's nonsense. The reason why you get an elevation in cortisol initially when you go into ketosis is because the transition is stressful for the body. Once you get over the transition period, it comes back down to baseline. If you reverse the process, like when you go back on sugar, you also get an increase in stress because you're shutting out hormone-sensitive lipase by elevating insulin. You can't access energy and you feel terrible, causing your cortisol to spike. In both cases, the stress is due to the transition. Your body takes time to adjust, and research shows that. People can experience hypoglycemic shock to the system when they switch diets. The body responds by elevating cortisol because elevated insulin prevents access to fat. The body then produces more sugar via glucagon to provide energy. This isn't chronic cortisol; it's a transitional response to a change in nutrients. In a natural environment, this wouldn't happen because changes in food availability are gradual and seasonal. You'd transition slowly, adjusting over time. Fruit, for instance, was more common during interglacial periods, and it didn't raise insulin significantly. During glacial periods, we ate more fat, as animals were fattier to insulate themselves and produce more uncoupled energy from mitochondria in brown adipose tissue to stay warm, similar to the Inuit. This is just a physiological response to changes in macronutrient ratios. A carnivore diet is far more superior to keto. The Maasai tribe of Tanzania were tested and found to be in a low grade ketosis of around one millimole. Everyone was gravitating between a bit above or below 1 millimole. There are very similar patterns among many other tribes, except for only in certain seasonal periods when they're fattening up towards the end of summer where they've got accessibility in the wild to some fruit and honey. It also furnishes your body with more taurine from the actual meats, and for the Maasai, also from dairy and other things. For others, in terms of seafood, eggs, and many other sources that they may get a bit of taurine here and there, it has a very strong osmotic effect throughout the whole body. That means it is a regulator of a lot of systems in terms of keeping them in a level of homeostasis. Something a pure keto diet, which is very high in fat and very low in protein, cannot do. This is why people struggle with electrolytes. The moment people need to supplement and constantly adjust their electrolytes tells you that something isn't indicated as being normal or natural. It's a fasting-mimicking diet which means you're in a catabolic state continuously. It is a very unhealthy state to be in continuously. Short-term, it is superior to the standard western diet, but long-term contraindicated as it can lead to the break down of your tissue, reverse T3 increasing to very high levels causing dysregulation of body temperature and damage to your endocrine system. Your body needs a certain level of protein and a certain level of fat to function properly all the time. That is why a carnivore diet will always be superior because it can actually furnish the body with far more nutrient density and at the same time can keep the body swinging between anabolism and catabolism-a very natural state to be in, which is what our human ancestors were. They weren't constantly growing, but they weren't constantly breaking down. Therapeutic ketosis is a very high fat, low or moderate protein level approach. It has its place for epilepsy and a number of other conditions that can actually help reset certain conditions, and in particular neurological conditions, or severe type 2 diabetes that is moving towards type 1 diabetes. With that, you would be trying to minimise the amount of blood sugar. You're trying to control those factors and trying to re-regulate that body. This is useful short term for a couple of months to correct specific ailments but it’s not for the general public. It is not a healthy thing to run very high ketone levels. Tribal societies actually consume good levels of protein and good levels of fat and they don't neglect those important animal nutrients. For healthy men, you should be getting a near 1:1 ratio of fat to protein. For healthy women, 1.2:0.8 fat to protein. Although the RDA for protein is 0.8 grams per kilogram of bodyweight, that’s just based on cellular turnover. You don't only need it for structural turnover and material, there's also a lot of enzymes that are being transcripted that require amino acids. If you consume low protein, long term your health will suffer.

I have chronic Lyme disease and have since been diagnosed with Graves’ disease, Dermatomyositis and Chrohns. I’m a flipping mess! I’m pretty much carnivore and it helped tremendously with my symptoms and inflammation. A month ago I added my dirt water which is humic fulvic acid minerals from Green Smoothie Girl. Holy Cow! Rashes completely gone, no shit your pants diarrhea and my skin is glowing. This combo works for me.

@@shanhare76 I tried beam minerals and wasn’t a fan. I chose Green Smoothie Girl because she does test for heavy metals and chooses a location to source them that isn’t near industrial areas or other types of mining. The bottle lasts me about 2 months. @jenniferpetty5238 29 дней назад
@@shanhare76 the Beam minerals are a similar ratio of minerals as other fulvic humic minerals according the owner of that company but she supposedly uses a proprietary technology. Basically it’s a money maker for her. The fulvic humic does help with electrolytes issues but it can take awhile before you feel better. I use Celtic sea salt. I don’t like to use LMNT or other electrolyte powders because the ratio of sodium is so much higher than the potassium and I think that causes problems in the long run. I use the minerals twice a day now and supplement with just a magnesium supplement at night. That works for me but everybody is different so hopefully you find something that works for you. I am an American married to an English man. I have Celiac Disease and I am 63 years old. When we visited English in-laws for 3 weeks. I love cheese and England has a FABULOUS cheese selections. I thought I would try just a little bit of their cheese again. USUALLY in America anytime I would have dairy I have to deal with excess mucus- yes, eww. Well I didn’t have any excess mucus sessions at all! I continued to eat a good portion of their cheese almost daily and other nice foods as well- still staying gluten free. When we got back home in America, I noticed how GREAT I felt INTERNALLY. I have never felt this GREAT for YEARS (more than 20 years). The food over must have improved my microbiome? The great feeling lasted a while but the great feeling didn’t last long enough. If my husband and myself could afford to move there - we would because the “GREAT” stomach feelings I felt over AND the other good foods were something else! Funny thing when we flew to England the dessert on the plane was a tiny tub of DELICIOUS ice cream. I looked at the tiny tub and it was from England, yummy! Where it’s funny is on the flight back to America again the dessert was a tiny tub of ice cream BUT it was from an American company. It tasted gummy and artificial! What are we putting in our foods??? And that tiny tub of ice cream caused me to have excess mucus again and couldn’t sleep on the plane because of it. If you have stomach problems, go visit England for 3 weeks and it will right your stomach again to what it should be.😊

I was in hospital at the beginning of June, i have a big kidney stone and had severe pain inflammation and infection, and sky rocket high blood sugar (350 fasted). They tested fasted glucose and hab2c but not fasted insulin. The diabetologist that was called in to see me, when I asked about the fasted insulin level replied to me that insulin is a useless number, she could see that I'm insulin resistant by my fat belly and fatty liver 😢. So she treats all insulin resistant patients the same . They gave me insulin shots to lower blood sugar and when I was dismissed I left with Metformin and Ozempic prescriptions 🥴😬 Metformin gave me diarrhea so I asked my doctor that said to switch to berberine for the time being. I went Carnivore with just some low oxalates veggies every other day, blood sugar is lowering but not ok yet ! I hope it will be normal in a month or two. 🙏🏻

For the last four and a half million years, give or take, humans and immediately pre-human species have lived on this planet under a given lifestyle, that lifestyle being obligate hypercarnivore. How do we know that is true? How do we know that is definitely true? None of us were alive four and a half million years ago. Is this just a guess? No, here's why not. We can do is a thing called stable isotope testing. Specifically the nitrogen-14 and nitrogen-15 isotope testing that has been done on the skeletal remains of humans and nearly humans tells us the answer to that question. We can find the human and immediately pre-human remains, their skeletal structures, long bones that are left behind. We can find those all over the world, and we can open those long bones up and get some collagen out of those bones. Collagen is a protein; it's the most common protein in the human body, and you'll find a significant amount of collagen in long bones. Collagen is a very stable protein; it dries out obviously after the body dies, but it remains intact for tens and hundreds of thousands of years, no problem at all. We can still find viable collagen in the long bones millennia later, and we can analyse the makeup of that collagen in terms of the stable isotope makeups, in terms of the carbon and the nitrogen found in that collagen in those long bones. And that tells us, slam dunk, no question, no debate, no maybe, no if, no but. It tells us what that individual definitely ate during its lifetime, down to the specific speciation of animals that that human being was preying on and eating. And what that data tells us is that human beings, for at least 350,000 years, which is as long as human beings have existed in our current form, we have definitely, unequivocally, eaten a diet which consisted 80 percent of the flesh and fat of large ruminant animals, with a few other animals thrown in here and there, and 20 percent very, very fibrous, very, very starch-poor roots and tubers, basically very fibrous materials. And that 20 percent of fibrous materials were stuff that we were digging up, collecting, taking home, boiling the hell out of probably, and eating as some kind of gruel-like slop to subsist when the hunt was unsuccessful or the animals were not there to prey upon. It wasn't starch-rich like current tubers and roots are that have been selectively bred to be so. This was basically fibre is what these people were eating. Now, as you know, fibre breaks down in the enteric system only under the influence of bacteria that basically break it down a little bit. And what they produce for us is short-chain fatty acids, not carbohydrates. The human diet for 350,000 years up to the point where the agrarian revolution kicked in about 8,000 years ago, human beings ate a diet which, to all intents and purposes, was 100 percent protein and fat, given that the fibre broke down to short-chain fatty acids and not carbohydrates. There were a few weeks of the year seasonally for some human beings, there were berries around. Humans did obviously take advantage of that; they did eat berries. The vast majority of the year, no carbohydrates at all, zero. We did still have a salivary amylase gene because there's no negative selection pressure to knock it out.

Understand that if there is such a thing as good and bad cholesterol then the idea of looking at 'total cholesterol' is quite useless in that respect. Also, pay more attention to triglycerides and the triglyceride:HDL ratio. If you can get that ratio as close as possible to 1 or below then you're doing great 😃

A carnivore diet does make sense to a certain degree after you've been on a very bad american diet for years. But so would every other kind of healthy diet.
