Anakins_Ashes yea my situation didn’t really change, the price of beef did & I refuse to pay $8/pound for ground beef & astronomical price for Ribeyes. I like beef but it’s not worth the price at the moment.........
First week of carnivore diet (5 days in). Want to improve health, hypothyroidism, hypertension, anxiety. Weight loss would be a huge bonus since I'm 5'2" at 180 lbs :-/ After 5 days I feel really amazing!
Please make sure you eat your protein. Us people with hypothyroidism will lose our hair if we don’t eat enough protein! Many people in carnivore community claim higher fat, low protein but I find moderate fat and moderate protein and sometimes even higher protein is better. That’s in my personal experience
@@austinjohnson8871thank you for following up on this! The carnivore diet has been a game changer for me. Over the last three year I have dropped weight (123 lbs now) my thyroid meds have not been eliminated but have been greatly reduced, also I was pre diabetic and now that is non-existent. An earlier comment mentioned keeping protein up. She is spot on. I eat really high protein and only the naturally occuring fats. Meaning I don't add oils or butter to increase fat. I feel great, am really active now and my health is outstanding compared to where I started. NO REGRETS. I am forever a carnivore 😊❤
It's so crazy how I've known my entire life that I loved meat and that it was important but what I didn't know was just how important it was. I didn't fully grasp that it was essential. So many people around me didn't eat as much meat as me. I thought it was just a personal preference and not a nessacity but it's so crazy because looking back on it it makes sense. All the people who did not eat as much meat as me were a little puffy and cranky and low energy. I didn't put two and two together so this information you're giving is valuable even if you've always eaten meat. It lets us know we're doing ourselves an even bigger favor than we realize.
Ribeyes and free range eggs! Thank you for the info on minerals/electrolytes! This is something very important, but not much discussed on other carnivore sites.
Our ancestors also wrapped remains in foliage and buried them this would encourage fermentation and also more animals to come to kill and feed from. The foliage would be soaked on the inside and herbs would be used that were local nettles were also used often. After they rationing started they would use the fermented food before switching into fat burning the fermented food would help in encouraging the fat cells to easily activated and therefore energy.
I've just started out, my 3rd day on the carnivore diet, I feel a little bit fatigued still and still have some inflammation, i know it's a process and takes time but i just wanted to say thank you for your amazing video's, Kait, they educate me and helping me on this personal journey. x
Hi Kait you make the best informative videos thank you... I started 1 month ago just meat and some veg and last 2 weeks just meat I feel great I still forget the salt as I was told for so long salt is bad and living in AZ I sweat alot but I'm really not hungry I can go 24 hours until next meal especially after steak I lost 11 pounds so far Love you Kait!
Thank you for your videos and vast information! I have been on lowcarb for years! I've lost over 250lbs! Still lots of health challenges! Starting my carnivore journey today! I'm excited to feel better! Thank you again! ❤
Thank you! Best video I've seen on carnivore diet. I don't have weight issues Except at waist area....all goes there with Major bloating and ibs. My digestion is so bad I can't seem to tolerate much at all. Started just meat week ago and MUCH better...will add slowly from there. This video gave me so much hope!
@@zanehubay2483 your diet is my end goal. I'm on day 3 of 30 going carnivore. I suspect having a beginning of a PCOS/insuline resistence syndrome so I'm cutting on carbs for a while to regain my sensitivity. Next step is figuring out what are the foods that don't work that well with me. Then rearrange an animal-based whole foods diet accordingly.
This is the first WOE that I have stuck to for this long 🥳 love the freedom its given me from binge eating and how simple it is! It’s only been strict 3 months thus far but I’m SO thrilled!
Thanks for the video. Also, I find that raw liver tastes SO MUCH better than cooked. It’s a different realm. Totally incomparable. Just make sure it’s from a safe source.
I love your videos. You are helping me SO MUCH with my autoimmune condition mainly because you are able to share good and valuable information without being dogmatic or restricted. Keep doing this amazing work ❤️
Hitting carnivore in February, see how much of my acne resolves. Also my anxiety. Been reading a lot of good benefits all around on this way of eating I've done enough research, is time to put it to my own testing .. Thank You Kate.
Liver pate usually has alot of other stuff in it, like sugar etc. I have a hard time with liver aswell but I buy a cow liver every week, cook it and cut it into swallowable pieces, and put it in my eggs and stuff like that, then it's just the consistency left.
@@TorreBorre3000 a whole cow liver?? When I slaughter a beef, the liver weighs 6kg or more. They're huge! I've never seen pate with sugar in it but have taken to making my own chicken liver pate because it's so easy, especially with a blender, and freezes well.
@@cassieoz1702 I buy calf livers from my local store. They weigh around 1-3 if I remember correctly. Most store pates have sugars in them and I usually eat it with bread that also is sugar. Do you have any tips on what I can eat pate to except with bread?
@@TorreBorre3000 i just generally eat it with a spoon or I make the paneer based crackers from Serious Keto. I looked at our store pate here and there was no added sugar (although liver does naturally contain glycogen) so I guess we're lucky. Calves' liver is pretty rare here and I think would take some searching for as we don't kill as many vealers as some other countries. Mature beef liver is very strong and I usually use it for dog jerky treats
Hey, thank you for all the information you provided. Just found your channel and started my 30 days carnivore diet this month. Because am a chef, coffee is a must 😋, chef life is early mornings and late nights. I normally drink tea, black tea when am working to avoid any sugary drinks, is that OK. Keep up the amazing work
EXCITED to jump aboard!! 🤩 ~ been lactose intolerant for 30 years, tried vegetarian (low iron=low energy) then paleo, without much results. Tried grinding eggshells ~ ewww...then moved so far away from bread & carbs that they would mould & have to be thrown out. Even veggies ~ thrown so many things out due to spoilage 🙄 Will definitely be keeping my avocados 😉🥑 though. My issue is mental & physical with the amount of beef/meat I'd need toeat & the gross fat on it that I've cut off for 30+ years!!! Wish me luck!! Cleaning out the pantry & freezer of carbs, pastas & sauces!!
Wow. I didn't know avocado was a histamine thing. I did carnivore for inflammation. Knees still hurt but my allergies have stopped. So I backed into an elimination diet. So I'll clean up the dairy and other stuff and see how I tolerate free foods extra.
This is so beautiful I'm a new subscriber and I have learned more from you since I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago then the doctors as far as my weight gain what is wrong with me they tested me and I see now I've had to self-diagnose myself I have insulin sensitivity and since watching your videos and doing the things that I'm doing I'm seeing that it's helping my body the education is just matchless.... And last but not least you always get right into the content no fluff love this 💯👏👏👏👏 I am so thankful thankful thankful thankful for your commitment to educate and help others thank you for all you do and being an Amazing person ❤️
I try to do a variety of meats, eggs, and limited-moderate dairy, an average breakfast usually is a pork loin, pork sausage patty, 2-3 pieces of bacon, and eggs with pink Himalayan salt and honey
Thank you for the information. I will incorporate more if these foods in my diet. I have been trying to lose weight and been struggling because I don't eat allot of veggies or fruit and wondering why I was slimmer a year ago. It was because when I lived at home I ate more meat. What is your opinion and recipe for liver. I usually love it with only onion. But would like more options.
not only the information i need, but my beyonce is losing more hair than normal and having problems to fall asleep... this has been really eye opening in many ways thank you for the effort. keep it up!
I love your style of teaching, because you acknowledge that every body and tastes are different. I do have a problem that I've not seen you address, and I hope you can help me with... I have had a loss in my family, so I'm stressed, and every night I crave something sweet. I tried sugar free water flavoring, but too much of that causes problems too Lol! I've tried to push through, but find myself pacing, and eventually in front of The fridge. The craving even makes it hard to sleep. Please help!
So sorry to hear about your loss 😢 If I may, it sounds like your problem may be 2-fold. Stress from the uncertainty and loss of your loved one may be driving up cortisol, that raises insulin which increases hunger/craving cues. The other side may be emotional, strong emotions are unsettling and exhausting for us to deal with so we often seek separation from those feelings by eating. Your mind is pushing you towards sweets possibly because of the positive memories and sensations you have had there. Where else do you find comfort? Sometimes self sabotage is an act of misguided self love. Your body and mind care about you deeply, and are trying in their own way to make you feel better. I hope that this message helps you sweetie. Stay strong where you can but be kind to yourself always xx
@@rebeccacollis1846 Thank you for replying. I think you may be right about the comfort/eating relationship. I don't have any other comfort to reach for right now, and it may also be why it is so strong in the evening, when the work is done and there is nothing more to distract myself. Thank you for taking the time to reply. It helps to be heard.
Patricia Gename it sounds like you are going through a really tough time sweetie. You’re doing so well, staying as strong as you have been and still trying to keep your health a priority. Have you tried one of the online/texting or in person counselling options? The people behind those programs really do care and try to help, they’ve helped my loved ones in the past. If that doesn’t sound like your thing, you know that health coach Kait and the carnivore community are here. There are also some amazing videos on RU-vid about the emotion/eating connection.
@@rebeccacollis1846 Thank you for your suggestions about the youtube and online counselling. It may sound silly, but until you wrote, and I reread what I had written, I had never really made the connection between the late night craving and the all day stress! You have already helped me, and pointed me toward some more options. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
Patricia Gename you are so brave to write down your struggles and feelings to put them out into the universe. You are such a beautiful soul. You are stronger than you may think. Thank you so much for taking the time to converse with me. You have made my life richer for the experience ☺️ thank you. Do you feel more comfortable with what’s happening in your head now? I think you have the knowledge, tools and resources to handle it.
I'm 90% carnivore including eggs and some cheese. The other 10% includes a local avocado every eight or ten days, two cups of romaine lettuce a week that I grow, a handful of grape tomatoes a week that I grow, and a half cup of natural greek yogurt a week because it makes me feel good. Oh, and a sauteed shallot once a week or so. I am 49 years old and almost through menopause. I weigh 112-114, and I'm lean, strong, fit, and have the body and skin of someone much much younger. I started this diet because I was injured in a dog fight I stupidly tried to break up and lost a lot of blood. I could not get my strength back and was experiencing considerable depletion physically. I do not live near any medical facilities and needed to find something to try and heal. In three weeks of carnivore, my strength was back, bruises healed, skin went back to soft and healthy, and I felt mentally and emotionally strong, balanced, and solid. I love this diet! Kait, I think this is one of your best videos! I've enjoyed all the ones I've watched, and this one really captures the heart of the carnivore diet in easy-to-grasp nuggets that are helpful for people brand new to it and people viewing to see if they want to refine anything they're currently doing. Thank you for all the great content you produce.
This is my third day on the carnivor diet. My blood sugar is down to 6.3 from 11 three days before I started. My goal is to lose 60 pounds. Hopefully that will help me to get off most of the meds I am taking.
I just made an amazing beef, shrimp, onion soup with butter and sour cream. Also fresh ground black pepper. I always think that when you combine two species like shrimp and beef it’s like eating a whole new creature. Like a hybrid clone of a cow and shrimp. 😂
I am able to get 10oz ribeyes for $5.00 from a local butcher.. I buy 14 of them every week and have 2 per day. They are the perfect thickness that I can go directly from freezer to grill. I do sometimes have something else (chicken, fish, sardines, mackerel, etc). Lost 80 lbs and 6 inches from my waist in 15 months.
I've been not only circling your channel but others...For about a year maybe more now. But yet to dive in. But this goes against everything the "experts" tell us about nutrition. However I'm getting closer in steping in with both feet and at least try for myself.
First time watching I subscribed. I'm having an incredibly difficult time dealing w my eating disorder. I'm excited to see what vegetables are included. I don't really like fruits so that's not hard. I'm getting sick and depressed about my health Jordan Peterson has convinced me to take a look.
Thanks for all your great videos! I'm definitely interested in trying out the carnivore diet. I initially began eating keto for a Candida overgrowth problem and kind of fell down a rabbit hole, with intermittent fasting, extended fasting, and now carnivore. I think it could help with several related issues, including obesity, pre-diabetes, and a history of Alzheimers (which I do not want to get!!!) I think the carnivore diet will help with these goals.
I have RA. I did a two fast and then ate: salad, sweet potato and salom. The next day I felt awful! I'm going to try this diet for a couple of weeks and see what happens.
Removing gluten clinically cured my RA (I was in multiple biological). Wish I had known about carnivore when I was teen, could have avoided damaged joints. Best of luck.
Since trying this, I've sometimes at a hotdog (bun but with beef sausage) or a burger when doing out of office work.. bt anytime i eat a certain amount (not a lot btw) of those processed carbs I feel sooo bad.. the crashing is clear. The inflammation undeniable. Thanks for the reminder and shoutout to you and the coments which are very helpful as well. And with a recent discovery of a very affordable local butchery which sells pork and beef products (non of which are processed) I'm feeling upbeat. I love this diet. So simple.
Thanks for sharing I’m considering switching diets to carnivore. I thinking it might help pack on muscle if I eat enough. I been doing salads fish and avacado then once a week do a 48 hour water fast so the fat is dropping. So I might switch add small amount of milk for stronger bones too. Also looks like maybe it might boost some testosterone eating enough food and keeping the carbs down. Doc recently said liver is fine and I don’t have insulin issues or heart problems either so I might decide get off the salads eat the meats and lift.
Hi! I’m very interested in starting a carnivore diet. I’m 41, and I pretty active, but I struggle to lose weight. Belly fat in particular 🙁 I do eat a ton of vegetables currently, mainly Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and spinach. Had never heard the term anti nutrient. I like to juice lemon, turmeric root, and ginger root to add to my water. Any tips to help me get started would be much appreciated!!! Also, I had a very bad injury and I shattered all the bones in my ankle and tibia, so I had to have it reconstructed and I now have 18 screws and a 6-inch plate holding it together. I know it gets inflamed as I’m a bartender and work long hours on my feet. I’m guessing you’re going to tell me I need to cut out tequila as well 😉 I need help!!!
I'm getting ready to start this for digestive issues. Hopefully it will turn me around, with that and help gain so e muscles tone. I'm just not able to eat the fat though.
I think besides the mass production of oils and grains has caused the majority of the problem. Other than that. Blood type plays a big role. And there is next to no information and mis guided info too. Every diet is not good for every body. So each person receives 1 blood allele from mom and 1 blood allele fro dad. That makes the blood type. I want to try all diets to see which one gives me the well being you describe. I want to be vegetarian not vegan but of course many days ate vegan as I choose items without any animal. But during Covid pandemic I added meat back in because I was so low carb and I need my blood sugar to go down. I got the A1C test down from a dangerous 11 to a near normal 7 by cutting out junk and grain carbs but I to go lower and have strength and something to eat I added meat back in so I could freeze and had no one to shop for as I was without a car and used to buy fresh weekly for veg diet. Could you come up with vegetarian version of Keto? I did do that successfully. Some people can combine foods and then they wouldnt have to eat animal. I understand if you dont. I am going to try paleo, carnivore and keto and whatever else until I find my balance well being and normal blood sugar test.
Thanks for this! I am interested in trying because i have developed endometriosis and i dont want my insides to be scraped out. Thinking this might help
I am from southern california, i went on a veg/plant based diet as a teen, thinking this was best for my health/ethical reasons. Wrong.. I was a former gymnast and loved dancing and hiking.. I would go on to deal with a litany of diseases, only racking up medical debt after countless unhelpful doctors. I moved to Brazil last year and turned my lifestyle around, seeing integrative doctors and nutritionists, enjoying all the delicious seafood and meat, giant avocados, and overall wonderful variety of fruits, veggies, and animals here. I gained a healthy relationship with food, and with the help of my specialists, have put my endometriosis into remission, have conquered my Grave’s disease hyperthyroidism, and now, I am working to lower my insulin so i could reverse my PCOS and become pregnant naturally. I am off all medication now, which would not have been possible had I not made the necessary lifestyle and dietary changes. My hair and skin are only becoming more vibrant and beautiful. I found your videos today, starting with the insulin resistance ones, and I am learning so much ! I can’t wait to share all this with my new fertility nutritionist so she can help me come up with a good meal plan. PS. Not saying plant based diet is bad for all people or caused my illnesses, but it certainly did not help me. All i know is i feel good eating a healthy variety of foods :) I cannot wait to keep learning and growing
Ten years of sickness..while it has been a rough year overcoming this pain and bad habits, esp during a pandemic, it was worth every effort and little change to my lifestyle. Anyway, thank you for your videos, i learn something new everytime and plan to implement a lot of these tips so I can be the healthiest version of me.
Just have to say Kait - this is hands down one of your top videos! You are such a good speaker, the flow, the content, the authenticity and science behind it. I think they should be showing your videos in schools, then the kids can help heal their parents. I wish you would do a video on the SAD (Standard American Diet) and the brainwashing of our children through television and other forms of advertisements. Fastfoods, Labfoods (vegan fake meat), Processed Carbs and Sugary Non-Foods everywhere you go, at every turn, in every building, restaurant, etc. It is so ingrained in our society, that we consider these „normal foods“. I really wish we would start a huge campaign in the opposite direction, get some of those billions of dollars going to Covid19 Vaccine Research and start from the ground up (and I‘m talking babies) changing our Nutritional Guidelines radically. Don’t they all realize that your health and your immune system affected & manipulated by everything you put into your mouth? An absolute minimum is to prohibit refined sugars from our diets, from hospital kitchens, nursing homes, from school cafeterias, from our military restaurants, from our baby‘s bottle/formula!!! Sorry about this rant, but I even hear people who are successfully doing the Keto or Carnivore Lifestyle, BUT THEY ARE STILL FEEDING THEIR KIDS CRAP 😬 It’s like they would feel guilty depriving their kids. Don’t they realize that they are poisening them? Just like we prohibited smoking cigarettes in public, raised the legal age, stopped all the advertising, WE NEED TO GO AFTER THESE PROCESSED AND SUGARY FOODS INDUSTRIES! Okay I‘m done, but still ready for this fight/change. And ready to be a part of it. I share ALL of your content Kait. Awesome work! I hope lots of people read this comment 🤓
I not against carnivore diet. I agree red meat and organs are highly nutritions and delicious. The issue with meat is its difficult to get a good quality meat. Most cows are feed gmos, and raised in a stress level environment, injected hormones to produce more milk. All these stuff ends up in the animals meat and organs.
Unless one raise the cow in the backyard to make sure they are raised properly or move to peru so some country in the south wherr cows are raised freely how they should be, I wouldnt eat too much meat in an industrialzed country like usa, even if it says organic meat. However from time to time eating a steak wouldnt hurt though
One has to aqire a taste for liver and it has to cooked properly. Beef heart is just muscle meat with its own taste. I have never been able to eat kidney, it just tastes terrible to me. In Peru and Bolivia they cut up kidney and cook with scrambled eggs. Have tried it a few times but have never been able to eat it.
Super informative video Kait 😎 I want to ask, when discussing dairy you said it can stall weight loss? Can I get more info on this please? Thanks in advance
hi Kait! thanks for this video, it's super helpful as always. I have a question: when it comes to organ meats, most people talk abouy beef organs but what about chicken\other poultry organs such as chicken liver and hearts, goose liver etc... thanks a lot!
@HealthCoachKait, I'm curious your thoughts on three drinks when on a carnivore diet. BCAA powder mixed with water, pre-workout mixed with water, diet coke?
I have been on the diet for about 1.5 months now. I had never ending diarrhea after I ate. I tried more fat, less fat ect. I had to reintroduce small amounts of veg once every few days which seems to have stopped that and I feel good. I haven't really lost any weight on this diet though. I was doing Keto for a solid 9 months prior to this and stalled the last few months which is why I transitioned to Carnivore. Despite the frustrations with not losing any weight on it I feel like I have put on some muscle mass and feel really good.
Diarrhea is a result of your body not producing enough lipase to digest the fat. You can take a lipase supplement before meals until your body adjusts. But I am not opposed to including a small amount of veg if that's working for you 🙂 Meal timing and frequency could be the reason for no weight loss. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AGejIRanqhE.html
