Sadi Carnot introduced an ideal Heat engine. This Engine has 100% efficiency. To perform this engine Carnot suggested a cyclic reversible process, which is known as the Carnot cycle.

None of the practical engines have 100% efficiency. Carnot Engine is an ideal engine. In some ideal situations, the efficiency of this engine can be 100% (but not practically). Watch the entire video, we have mentioned this.

Jaise raise karke cannot cycle samjha. , top of that abhi reversed cannot cycle padhna padh rha hai , jo engine exist he nahi karta uske bhi reversed cycle padhye jaate hai

My MCAT study book says it's easier to understand with temperature on the x-axis instead of volume? But idk. This concept is a bit difficult

Professor I have a question here. Is Carnot cycle totally isothermal? I mean there are two isothermal processes, which are isothermal compression and isothermal expansion. Others are adiabatic compression and adiabatic expansion. These adiabatics are also isothermal, at the same time ?
@fifthe4908
@fifthe4908 5 месяцев назад
no its not isothermal overall, the condition for that would be dT=0, temperature must NOT change at any given moment do not just prioritize final and initial temperature difference. As for your last statement that's not true, isothermal and adiabatic are usually exclusive of each other like he said during the adiabatic expansion/compression the temperature changed(not isothermal) without involvement of heat(adiabatic)

How can air expand when it gets cooler ?
@Fizica.
@Fizica. 3 года назад
actually, in Carnot cycle air first expends that's why it gets cool down. because no external supply of heat is there. here expansion of air is a cause and cooling down is after effect of this cause. what you are saying is that cooling down is a cause and after effect will be compression. this is a different thing.

@Kunal_2110
@Kunal_2110 3 года назад
the gas in the adiabatic expansion is actually losing out internal energy and this is doing work on piston to lift it up.this process is done until gas reaches at equilibrium pressure with the surrounding. the entropy remains unchanged..... the person who made this video is dumb in explanation...but good animation.
