1-2 isothermal expansion 2-3 adibatc expansion 3-4 isothermal compression 4-1 adibatc compression Isothermal meant change in T equals ZERO or T is constant throughout Adibatc means change in Entropy equals ZERO.

Process 1-2 is an isothermal process, how come T2 is then different from T1, constant temp expansion means there is no change in temp during the process, which according to your derivation implies that the efficiency is zero. And how this adiabatic process equation is applicable for the process 1-2

No bro the temperature does not change in process 1-2.T1 is the constant temperature of process 1-2 and T2 is the constant temperature of the process 3-4 , so they are isothermal only

Thermodynamics gives you bounds on real engines. Moreover, the explosion of the fuel mixture is not even approximately reversible. How can thermodynamics be of any use, in designing real world internal combustion engines?

In exam if you don't want to waste your time on writing long limitation. Then you write this much only , "But practically it is impossible to achieve" Therefore: "There is no real heat engine of 100% efficiency " 👆🏻This much is enough this contain that all things..🙂

Sir can you plz plz reply quickly my question answers 1. A piston cylinder system contained air is worked on carnot cycle to do some mechanical work. Initially ,the system contains air at 1bar ,298k and 0.01m3. the system is first compressed until the volume is 0.002m3 (isothermally) .after that, the system undergoes an expansion process (isothermally) to a point where pressure in the system is 5 bar .At that point , the system is subjected to an isothermal expansion process until system reaches the initial state completing a cycle. Calculate the net work done of the cycle and cycle efficiency.

Where did the -ve sign go because heat produced by 4---1 was -ve And V4/V3 = V1/V2 then how can you cancel them by changing denominator with numerator (i.e V2/V1)

@@goratagobuiwang6475 bro its cause Q3-4 is negative as compression i.e work done on the system is negative so the n = 1+ Q3-4/Q1-2 now n = 1 + T2ln(V4/V3)/T1ln(V2/V1) now after taking \-1 common we get n = 1- (T2/T1).

Carnot cycle is cyclic process? If it is then initial state should be equal to final state t1=t2, p1=p2 and so on. And plz explain reversible word you use in cycle? Is it means that you added hear from process 2 to 3 ,can reverse from 3 to 2 with out effecting system and surrounding In a cycle?
