@@TCt83067695 It's too heavy for a person just getting into the craft. You'll ruin your voice if you start with such heavy songs that require a lot of control over your own voice.
Huge Beyoncé fan here. I grew up with opera music (especially from Pavarotti!) since my grandfather was an opera singer. After Beyoncé released "Daughter", I had to search for Pavarotti's version of "Caro mio ben". This video is perfect. It's just Pavarotti and the piano. His voice control is incredible, his voice sounds so soft and clean and the way he expresses emotions throughout his singing is untouched. I would have never expected that I might come back to a Pavarotti piece after listening to a Beyoncé song but I am very glad I did!
It has nothing to do with the song being simple. It's that it is possible for students who don't (yet) have an operatic range or level of breath control to sing it. This is why it's given to beginners to learn. No one has ever claimed that any of them could sing it with the same skill as a famous opera singer could. The point is that most, if not all, beginners would be totally unable to sing opera arias.
I don't think Pavarotti will ever be eclipsed. He pushed the human voice to its absolute limits, and the effortless ease with which he makes it do his bidding is mind-boggling. This is 2.5 minutes of unsurpassed brilliance.

This was a younger Pavarotti in the best of voice. The aria speaks simply and quietly for itself and calls for absolute restraint and dignity on the part of the singer...not to mention exacting breath control. Pavarotti provides it all, and yet his rich voice hints at the power underneath. He has no need to raise his volume, which would have spoiled the utter tranquility of the performance. I've listened to about 20 singers perform this aria on RU-vid tonight, and this rendition takes the prize...including over a couple other Pavarotti performances of it in other venues. Every singer has good days and not so good days. This was one of Pavarotti's best.
This recording has become my obsession. I must have watched it 1000 times. The voice, emotion, technique and control are amazing. I've sang all my life, but now realize I know NOTHING about singing. Maestro, thank you for the inspiration and beauty of your gift!
99.9% of people will never come close to Pavarotti or any of the greats. That's nothing to be ashamed of. All you can do is your best. Don't stop singing because you can't be in their league. I'm sure you are probably very good.
Man I love Pavarotti! Every perfromance this guy has is amazing and he knows it. Look at his face when he milks every note for everything its worth. Hes might be the best technically sounds singer to ever exist. RIP my friend, the gods shall sing your name for centuries to come

Seriously, has there ever been a better singer than this, I mean EVER? This is literally a GOD GIVEN talent. Words like magnificent, majestic and incredible have been used to describe him, but this is some kind of level that is beyond the words we have.

Sem dúvidas, Pavarotti é um dos timbres mais belos entre os tenores, ao lado de Lanza, Di Stefano ou Beniamino Gigli. Sua técnica é refinada: Impostação, raccolto, fraseado correto e expressividade encantadora. Bravo!
Respectfully sir, it’s hard to imagine putting Mario Lanza in the same category with Pavarotti. Lanza often went off key which is why I gave up listening to him 50+ years ago. I agree DeStefano has a fine voice although a different style, but for me, Pavarotti is the master.

파바로티님께서 Caro Mio Ben이든 Nessun Dorma든 노래하시는 거 들을 때마다 표현 할 수 없는 좋은 기분이 들어요...... 진짜 최고의 성악가가 틀림 없습니다. 2007년에 돌아가셨다고 소식 들었을 때 눈물이 쏟아졌는데, 늦었지만 명복을 빕니다. 하늘에서도 그 아름다운 목소리로 귀 호강 시키기 바랍니다.
An entry level piece that would be reguired from any beginning vocalist. It’s beautifully simple and unadorned. Pavarotti sings it beautifully and his accompanist is excellent!
Joana Banyeres Su voz y sus condiciones eran únicos. Pero cantaba muchas piezas fuera de estilo. Era anárquico cantando. En el canto no todo es tener un timbre bello. Hay q saber adaptarse a las características del compositor y en eso pavarotti no era el mejor. Eso sí sus condiciones vocales únicas.
