I am so happy to see these discussions focusing on the impact culture has on group- and individual-level behaviors and the power of culture to promote or diminish a growth mindset. As a sociologist, we have been having these conversations for some time and I am so pleased to see them continued and promoted as you have. Thank you.

Thank you both very much for you way of dealing with Talent and Giftedness, I have my own definition of Talent as Giftedness or Talent: The possession of special potential in a subject that has no scientific pillars.

When Microsoft made the cultural shift, the managers that were "shaking the talent trees" found that the different teams were withholding their technology advances from each other. They had been holding onto advanced and mature pieces of technology that weren't being shared mainly for ego reasons. Their Windows products and their other hardware products got so much better after instituting the collaborative approach.
