My ears are made to detect them so yes, they get half a second to breath then thirty seconds of playing then half a second of breathing repeated over and over
This is how Carol of Bells is supposed to sound, hauntingly beautiful. It simply talks about the carol of bells and how happy they are, all while the song speeds up and pelts you with voices like a blizzard. It gives you a sense of urgency, one that we are all familiar with at some point in our lives. The voices sing ominously, as if there is a potential danger. This song is one of few that gives me vivid feelings of what it is about without actually talking about it through the lyrics. That is why it's my favorite Christmas song. So glad I got to sing this in choir.
A perfectly normal person: My favorite Christmas song is White Christmas! Another normal person: Mine is Frosty the Snowman! Me: *CAROL OF THE BELLS BLASTING AT FULL VOLUME*
Dude its a long name for me I loved this song but I couldn't say my favorite Christmas song cus I couldn't remember the dang name, everybody else said "grandma got ram over by a reindeer"
Hazy Skies saw your reply from a year ago about this song.I agree with you 100% that this is the best version of this song.I've listened to all other versions and this number one.
Absolutely agree!! My favorite Christmas songs are the hauntingly beautiful ones. Do you know which version this is? It love to listen to it on Spotify.
Wow this makes me want to cry so much. Knowing that we can’t have a normal Christmas because this year is all messed up and I’m still a kid I’m only 12 I want to enjoy my Christmas I want to be able to go places and feel the Christmas joy in the air with all he lights and warm feeling. Going to church and the cold weather. Making amazing desserts spending time with family hearing these songs brings back good memories and I won’t be able to experience that again.
Lol same this is my favorite version of it (the fastened one that you don't even know the lyrics) but this is the only version I've find but the one from this video is not complete
This one is the best version I've heard on RU-vid. The way that the male voices come in around 0:24 is perfect. Those voices should really sound like distinct, almost cacophonous, ringing bells -- the auditorium should really pound with the sound of bells when everyone is singing at once -- and this version manages that!
YEP! This song was in it and I can't wait for Christmas so I can have an excuse to watch it again because apparently I watch it much... Hehehe, does 36 times seem like a lot of times to watch it?
This made me miss my choir in high school! We practiced hard and everyday before our Christmas assemble performance at school before winter break. So much fun memories 😭❤️
I positively LOVE that song! It reminds me of singing it at the private school I went to growing up. In chorus, I remember each of us being assigned a certain part in creating it. We'd either be playing an instrument or singing alto, soprano or baratone, and I tell you, when it all came together, I'd get the chills. Still do!
Singing this song in my show choir every year is probably the perk of my December :) I love singing this song. The energy, and all of the parts, and harmonies. It is so beautiful, and rewarding when everyone gets everything perfect
This was always my favorite Christmas Carol, idk why but I always loved listening to it and I still do. I had to sing this in choir for 9th or 10th grade and I sang bass and boy I sure loved it, the bass and tenor voices made the song perfect👌
When I was in college during the first semester of finals week, around December 20th or so, the school's chamber singers would walk around campus singing various christmas songs. This, for some reason was the one song on top of their set list. So by coincidence every time I'd be walking to my next class, I'd always catch them either just starting this, or right in the middle of it, and over finals week, it became burned into my head way more than "it's a small world" could possibly ever be. It got so bad once, I actually walked up to the choir leader and was like "I will give you $10 if you FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SING SOMETHING F****ING DIFFERENT!!! Now, every time I hear this it reminds me of finals week in college
I was in elementary school when the high school choir joined for our program we were doing. They sang this and I instantly fell in love with this song and thought high schoolers were the most badass people alive
Hark how the bells Sweet silver bells All seem to say Throw cares away Christmas is here Bringing good cheer To young and old Meek and the bold Ding-dong ding-dong That is their song With joyful ring All caroling One seems to hear Words of good cheer From everywhere Filling the air Oh how they pound Raising the sound O'er hill and dale Telling their tale Gaily they ring While people sing Songs of good cheer Christmas is here Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas! On on they send, On without end, Their joyful tone To every home Ding-dong ding-dong...
