Originally came out as a traditional song in 1918, adapted to metal by John Oliva, Paul O'Neill, and Robert Kinkle in 1996 for the Savatage concept album "Dead Winter Dead". They then brought it back for Trans Siberian Orchestra a while back. Truly amazing cover guys. Amazing.

Melo never ceases to amaze me. There is so much talent, passion and ability in that woman. She puts everything into each song and the drama she expresses with her hands, eyes, makeup and clothing choices all come full circle to create a masterpiece of a performance. Melody and Abagale must have been crafted by Freyja's own hand and blessed by Idunn with the golden apples. They are more beautiful than any of the great works of any artist among men. I would love to hear Melody sing in old Icelandic. Something like Valhalla rising, or the song of Oðinn. Her voice would be so epic in such an aggressive language. I'd love to hear her sing in old celtic Irish as well. Songs like "me ghille mear" or "Eleanor ne rün" would sound so awesome in her voice with the band writing the music their way with a metal sound, not just a cover but a unique only they can do it cover. Also some traditional Romainian pride songs would be awesome to hear from them.

Earth-shattering Christmas songs like Carol of The Bells (One of my favorites) were structured for rock before rock was even around yet - and it's great to see powerhouse artists like Liliac tapping into that structure and bringing the explosion to life. There are other songs out there as well, such as Hark The Herald Angels Sing, that are structured the same way - with rousing, joyous, celebratory composition - and should be played in that manner by rock aficionados like Liliac who really know how to draw out the deep-rooted earthquake within each spectacular note.

I am 50 years old. Not a big listening music person and only have been to about 7 concerts in my life. The Liliac band caught my attention for some reason because of the family band and then the singer blows up with a heavy metal sound equivalent to the best Smashing Pumkins, Skid Row, Dokken, Ratt, Iron Madien, Metallica, Cinderalla, Wasp. Advice to the Liliac band is do nothing different. Just treat the younger ones in the band like you would treat yourself. The vocalist pulls all the attention but I enjoyed watching the drummer, guitarist, base, and keyboard. All are important. Nice job and look forward to the next journey for your band. I would definitley pay to go see you live. And by the way you rocked it with the Carol of the Bells. My wife says quick playing it over and over again. Nice job!
