Enjoy the sunset, the sand, the Aquarium, the Boardwalk of Carolina Beach and much more. These three beach towns are the perfect place for your next family-friendly beach vacation, whether you come to visit for the day, a weekend getaway, or if you are thinking of moving to the East Coast.
Try your luck casting a line from the Fishing Pier or charter an offshore fishing trip at the marina. Or take a laid back stroll along the boardwalk and enjoy an ice cream and the wonderful beach.
Carolina Beach is cycle friendly, so rent a bike and enjoy a nice ride to the beach, through the town or just cruising.
Carolina Beach boasts seasonal firework, annual music festivals and events, a vintage boardwalk that is filled with with quirky shops and several restaurants that are locally owned. And of course a hot donut from the world famous Britt’s Donut shop!
One of the best things about This Pleasure Island, is how easy it is to get there. Located about 15 miles south of Wilmington, within an easy drive of Raleigh and Charlotte. If you fly into Wilmington International Airport, it will take you only about 30 minutes to get here.

Seafood boil at Cape Fear Boil Company, is one of the best!
HOPLITE Irish pub for wee dram of Irish whiskey, or a pint or two of Guinness, the Rueben and super crunchy onion strings (they are the best!).
