Buc-ee's is the greatest Gas station of all time. They have the cleanest bathrooms you'll ever visit, more homemade snacks and jerkies than you'll ever need, an entire restaurant with some bomb food, a store section, the list goes on and on. I'm Texas born and raised and make it a point on every road trip I go on to fill up, grab some raspberry yogurt coated pretzels and chocolate-covered espresso beans, and take a leak at one of the 50 urinals in the men's restroom, So when you said "This is from....Buc-ee's? I don't know what that is" I immediately shot up and wrote this so you can now know about one of the most beloved icons in the greatest state of Texas
So those boards you were asking about. They are protective pads for an extendable table. A nice dining room table will have a protective pad you can put over the top for a durable work surface. If it is an extendable table it will have ‘leaves’ that can be inserted to extend the length of the table. Those pieces are the protective pads that accompany each ‘leaf’
"You have to go in the back like you're making a drug deal, which it's High Point so maybe you are" I appreciate the sick burn on this town I've never been to
NO WAY A BUCEES MUG! That’s a gas station common throughout Texas and they’re the size of Costco, no joke. They’re very well run and have delicious food and an amazing gift shop. They also won the award for the cleanest bathrooms in America. So cool!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. In the UK we call these charity shops and I have just gotten into regularly visiting them. I love having a good root about and always come out with something either to add to decor or to upcycle etc...
One of the things I miss the most since becoming disabled is being able to spend hours in thrift stores. Also I haven't seen thrift stores like this in Southeastern Michigan lol. Those green glasses look like absinthe glasses.
Showgirls is one of those movies that you’re almost embarrassed to admit you like. I’ve seen that so many times and it’s so awful it’s good. I love it.
Ive never seen a thrift store that huge. You can literally decorate n furnish your whole house there. I would have loved this store when i started out on my own.
Love the walk through Mary, so relaxing and fun shopping with you. I am on your last chapter of River Road. I really enjoy the story and you reading it. Your very appreciated Mary. Glad to hear Dexter is doing good.
What I don't understand is, what are people doing on their tables that makes a table protector necessary? Are they chopping up bodies on it with axes or something?
I guess, but the hard surface of those things is made of this thin plastic material. I can't imagine that it would fare too well with hot things being placed on it.
@SouthernASMR Sounds My family dining room table has the protectors and we use them for protection from scratches and stains in general. Seems kinda silly because tables are made to be used but we use our protectors because the table is over 100 years old and a beautiful heirloom that belonged to my great-grandmother.
My mom would cover the dining room table with those pads and cut her fabric patterns out on them. It was a way to make the dining room table into her crafting table.
The sound of hangers sliding with the large fan humming in the background is divine. Also, you giving a lot of praise to things (like that big round gorgeous table) just hits a sweet spot that I didn’t know was there. Warm fuzzies!
I wish we had thrift stores here in northern Ontario, Canada with prices like that. :( somethings are listed for over $30. The ones that are super cheap are so on organized to the point where you would need to be in there for at least 2 to 3 hours to find one or two things! I love your videos by the way. You distracted me from other shows and now I can’t stop watching 😂✨
I’m from southern Ontario and it’s the same here!! I can’t stand thrift stores anymore! There’s one here that was charging $250 for a jacket that was donated!! Robbery
Kalyne Love it’s really sad that they feel like they can do that. I’d never donate to value village or anything like that because I’ve seen them price things that were donated higher than the retail price in store! 😭
We had a set of those boards and used them to cover our pool table to protect it when it isnt being being used. We also used them on the pool table during Christmas for extra room for placing food items without hurting the table top. Lol
The folded pieces you use to film with are table covers to protect wooden tables from becoming scratched or worn over time. They connect together and lay over the table’s surface. My grandmother has had a set for her dining room tables for as long as I can remember, almost 30 years.
Mary you are so damn lovely! Your boys have such an awesome and beautiful momma. Thank you for all the content you upload! We appreciate it and YOU! Sending love from Texas♥️🤠
I absolutely love thrifting and going to op shops (vinnies, salvos, might be an Aussie thing idk) but the profits from them go to charity and everything is meant to be cheap so people who don’t have a lot can afford to buy there. But lately they’ve all been putting the prices up a lot and I feel bad because it’s becoming less affordable for the less fortunate
The burgundy folding things are definitely protectors for a table. U put the velvet/felt side down and the hard side is what would face up to keep the table from getting scratched.
I believe that those burgundy colored velvet folded things are what are used to protect your wooden dining tables. They're supposed to protect your table from heated food in their bowls, or dishes when they are served on the table, so they don't leave rings in the finish of the wood. They are used when you put a table cloth over your table. The velvet side goes down to protect the table from getting scratched. Usually, they are custom fit for your table. I remember that my Great-Aunt had them for her dining table.
I think those velvet/brown covers are kitchen table covers. If your table extends it’s usually the piece that goes in the middle of the bigger table covers.
Those table covers are expensive new. My granny had set to cover her table. She used the harder side under her tablecloth to protect her table. And the fuzzy side (hers were green) for playing cards with friends. :)
Those folding things looks like a pool table top protector if you put a few together, that’s what it reminds me of the one I had was a little different
The burgundy boards look like what’s on my dining room table. Like it protects the actual table/wood?? And then you put the table cloth on...Idk if that’s what those ones are but...
Great video I live in asheboro the mall video was great I've not been in there in years but I enjoy your videos look forward to see more besafe out there
I always loved it when we went to The one in Greensboro. You do have nice thrift stores. Once again your clever wit quips about the dolls, army, drunken and dead. LOL 🤳🏻❤️🌺
Do you buy stuff at the end when you do your shelf organizing or like this, kmart etc.....if so will you start showing what you purchased at the end of the videos. I'm always curious if you buy the things that you say are cute or "thaaaaats nice" lol or when you like the scents of candles or detergents or nail polish that you emphasize you think is cool or pretty. Ty 😉😊
I wonder if Food Lion knows their carts are there. Last time I went to Carolina Thrift after Christmas a lady hit my car in the parking lot. She was literally stuck to it so she couldn't leave.
Why is no one talking about "gotta go around the back of the building like you're making a drug deal...well its High Point so maybe you are" LOL classic 😂
Wow! That sailboat took me back! My grandfather had a whole collection of sailboats like that. But that one in particular struck a chord. I’ve looked for one like that over the years. Always found some online but for whatever reason, none of them were quite what I was looking for. That gave me chills. Lol Thanks for all that you do! And thank you for helping me sleep at night! 💜💚💙❤️🧡
