People need to return to President Kennedy's speeches to realize, perhaps for the first time, what it was like for America to have a truly great man as its president.
Yeah, and who killed Monroe and gives John Hoover great opportunity to manage the country! Kennedy's is like illness for the US. When they comes - US go down) as always)
Yes, what a great president but also a great human being. An inspiration to a nation. A president you can look up to. And not be ashamed of. GOD knows we need him now.
He nearly started a nuclear war as a hypocrite because the Russians were going to put nukes in Cuba because the U.S. *already had* nukes closer to Moscow than those would've been to Washington. He was going to physically stop Russian ships from carrying nukes there, even though American ships had already brought their nukes on Russia's back porch. He was a nut job threat to the future of humanity.
Erik Marcinik he unfortunately did not have the time given to him so that he can accomplish more, his life was cut short as well as his days in office so that if he was given the necessary time in office you would have seen him accomplish so much more...... so we cannot say he did not accomplish much, goodness if he was not tragically taken away he would have accomplished so much
Erik Marcinik no one knows for sure or can say what he would or would not have accomplished; none of us know for sure, it is pure speculation at this point
actually i am the last to " Lionize" him or any man who womanized while married with children and while holding office; that alone speaks a lot of a person's character, put that aside, no telling what he would have accomplished, educated inferences only which may inly be weak predictors
Erik Marcinik ... Here we are trying to honour this man,... and you!?!...Did you get all the attention you wanted yet?....I'm sure you would have made a way better President right??!!....I bet any money you don't like little children and hate attending birthday parties!
The thing that really breaks my heart about the fact that JFK was taken from us too soon is the fact that he was taken from his children way too soon. It’s always hard to lose a parent, but to lose your father when you’re only 6 or only 3 is devastating. Their beautiful mother did an excellent job raising them, but she shouldn’t have had to do it alone. RIP JFK, Jackie, and JFK, Jr.
I wouldn't say exactly, but there's definitely a resemblance. Me, I look at a photo of my grandad and I see a lot of my own face in his. Mainly how tall we are
I am forever grateful to have met and spoken to (and with) John F. Kennedy while I was in High school. He was tall, intelligent, humorous and very handsome! My interest and passion to know the politics of this nation started with that opportunity .
Parlez64 Wow! Lucky you. An occurrence you will never forget! Be sure to tell this story to everybody you can so his legacy of public service will be perpetuated.
I loved this interview, it brought tears to my eyes. I remember President John F. Kennedy like yesterday, and hold his memory close to my heart. I wish he was alive, well, and president today. The world needs him to an extent words could never suffice.
I'm a Costa Rican citizen, last Dec 16th I was visiting Dallas and I made everything possible to take a trip to Dealey Plaza to pay respects. I also got tears on my eyes, because Kennedy was also a beloved president in my country. He was the first US president to visit Costa Rica, he arrived in terms on mutual friendship and he put my country on the map. People here remember him with deep respect, that's why I wasn't able to leave Dallas without visiting Dealey Plaza. An amazing person and human being.
Ka Sak Kennedy wanted to end the Cold War in his second term, he wanted to call of the moon race in favour of cooperating with the soviets, he signed a treaty with soviets to ban nuclear testing, he refused to invade Cuba in 1962 and he set out to withdraw from Vietnam. So how was he a liability again?
The best president jfk usa has ever had. I've read all his history he changed so many things. He will be my favorite president their is nobody like him!
Adriana Chapa Avila I thought Abraham Lincoln was my favorite president but after all the things I’ve heard totally change my mind JFK is my favorite president
@@abigailtheweirdo1107 , Kennedy wasn't a President long enough to be a great President besides i think that if it hadn't been for Robert Kennedy his brother (attorney general) who was always there giving Kennedy great advice which helped President Kennedy a lot !!
JFK and RFK... Teddy too.... despite the shit we they did that probably wasn’t cool, it’s all good nobody is perfect but these dudes did a lot for America. Respect ppl
For sure, NOT Swimmer Ted. Busy saving his political skin instead of Mary Jo Kopechne. She didn't drown. She died from running out of air. And Teddie supported the murder of millions of babies via abortion.
@@friendlysky7674 He Let the Russians build the Berlin Wall. He let the Cubans hang out to dry on the beach during the Bay of Pigs invasion. He screwed everything that wore a skirt and was a race baiter for political gain.
Love Caroline for her privacy like for mother. I loved Jackie for her style and wit. Only if she could see her grandchildren today. Congratulations Tatiana on your wedding.
That was beautiful I listen to a lot of presents Kennedys speaches and Robert Kennedy speechs over snd over again God rest them the world would would be a better place to day had they lived
I got a lump in my throat when she said that as well. And to think of all the other tragedies she has been through - she never got to meet 2 of her father’s siblings, her father and uncle being taken violently away from her, losing a bunch of cousins to various things (drug overdoses, skiing accidents), her brother’s death, and last year her niece’s boating death. She’s been through hell, but has endured it with grace and charm. 😢
She missing him and thinking of him everyday and my heart goes out to her and it hard to lose a father at a young age and someone taken his life for no reason and that is inexcusable act and JFK didn't get a chance to see his children grow up and attending their school activities and high school and college graduation, wedding and see and play his grandkids all because of someone person take the life of JFK and Caroline had deal with that scar all those years. And if that person don't like JFK policies or personally just don't vote for him in 1964 election rather taking his life for no reason you took that Caroline father and the nation leader and Caroline in private she was hurt, anger each day and the nation still hurt and angry and the nation was so fond of the young President and his wife and his young children and their capitivated the nation with youth.and new generation.
Listening to the intelligence and kindness of Caroline Kennedy compared to an interview with Ivanka Trump last week. Gee, how low have we come in politics today.
People under 50 have no idea how inspiring JFK was across the world. His personal peccadilloes were far exceeded by his true love of America and his influence over American ideals and values that helped the US advance as a natural world leader. His patriotism, gravitas and intellect are not seen in today's politicians.
I will be turning 50 this year and I have loved JFK since childhood - Being Irish (both parents although raised in London) we of course never forgot his memory and my studies not only of his tragic death but of his presidency have given me a greater understanding of the world we live in today as well as to continue to fight for equality and freedom - the world would be different if he had lived and countless lives would be saved if we had leaders like him through the past five decades since his death.
Caroline, know that we loved him, JFK Jr. Robert and all of you. I grieve for him though I never met him. I walk my dogs past the Kennedy Homestead all through the summer and he's always on my mind. TFS.
I absolutely agree with her- children are the best people to carry his message forward and it’s sooo important to everyone and each generation. It should never be forgotten & should be encouraged. She is an amazing woman; so was and is her family
Wonderful Caroline! Balanced and focused, in spite of what she had to endure. Her children will show us the best of the Kennedy legacy, through her example 🌿
wonderful piece...makes one remember how important the Presidency is to young people who look up to this person as a role model. I'm not surprised by the negative remarks made by the haters... those who support a climate of racism and a lack of compassion for others, both in this country and the entire world. Sadly our country has not been as divided since the Civil War. Remember, Reality TV is NOT the real world.
Gosh, when she said that she misses him everyday of her life just made me gulp. I have been a fan of John F. Kennedy since i was 14, now I am 33 and I am more obsessed than ever. Thank you so much Caroline and the Kennedy family for teaching me on public service and to persevere, endure life no matter how much pain we suffer.
I've never seen Caroline speak so eloquently. She remains lovely. AS an 8th grader my child chose to speak of Caroline in a competition. She is so lovely.
"History will judge us by 4 qualities: courage, integrity, dedication, and judgement"" I think everybody can make up their own mind" - on modern politics. So true. And her children's focus on truly important issues like the environment, and social equality, is inspiring to me.
I refuse to believe that President Kennedy would tolerate the cult of climate 'crisis' or the invasion of illegals and open borders or the trans tyranny. He was a long way from stupid.
U will break down and cry. If u r old enough to remember how it was. I saw Jackie pass 4 feet away in a limousine. On the campaign trail. She was beautiful. 😍😘🤩. .
Thank you SO much for this interview/film of JFK and his legacy. Had he been allowed to live, maybe America really would be great again. At the moment it's the land of the needy and the greedy. Thank you JFK for your inspiration
I love Kennedy. I love how inspirational he was. And he was a man's man, a good husband, father and president. And most of all I totally love his Irish American accent, it was so cool sounding. I love Jackie as well. ☺☺❤❤🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷. You'll be missed so much. Rip.
When he was in Ireland as I was in school I saw him a few times my late Mum brought me to see him he was a very handsome man and had a great smile I will never forget he was very proud of his Irish Roots as he got a great welcome it was a lovely time Best Wishes to Caroline and her family and all people in the USA you always make me feel so welcome what I have come to your country A Very Happy Christmas Marie Dublin Ireland
Thank you for your comments it means a lot to me just to say it was a lovely time in Ireland when he came to visit us wishing you all Health and Happiness for 2020 Marie Dublin Ireland
I too miss him every day of my life. The more i see the direction America has taken, the more I miss him....my fallen President....I will never forget. My sincere love and admiration for Caroline.
Caroline Kennedy is a class act always. Nothing but respect for her. Her daughter looks like Jackie and her son like Caroline’s brother. She raised good kids.
I love all the Kennedy's , and there's such a selection Rose, Jackie, Bobby , John jr., ext ext ... but at the end of the day you can't help but love Caroline & JFK the most !
John should be sitting next to his sister. Rose looks so much like her Grand-Jackie. “Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men!”- JFK Both JFK and JBK would be truly proud. Wonderful message, thank you 🙏
What a great program. The speeches of John F Kennedy are national treasures in the realest sense of the word: They are guides to the journey humanity must take if it is not to be swallowed up by the monstrous weapons science has created. We must advance socially to where we are technologically, as J.F.K. taught us.
My Husband and I lived in San Antonio in November of 1963, my husband was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, myself and a friend stood on the corner on Broadway and watched the Motorcade pass by on the way from the Air Port. President and Mrs Kennedy looked so Happy waving and smiling at the crowd. I remember how Sad,Frightening and shocking the next day to learn that he had been shot. President Kennedy was our hero, he truly loved his country and his fellow man he was always a champion of the people. President and Mrs. Kennedy's Daughter and Grandchildren should be Proud of his place in the History of this Country! Rest in Peace, President Kennedy. I truly believe that President Kennedy would be appalled at the unsettling events going on in this great Country! Praying for our Democracy!
I think the son of Caroline looks like his father. I don't think he looks much like JFK. Caroline looks like her father. John looked maybe a little like his father, but more like Jackie.
@@Boxing1984California , exactly !! Caroline looks just like her Kennedy aunt's especially as she ages she's already is quite wrinkled for her age she looks NOTHING like her handsome brother who looks like his mom Jackie !!
If Caroline ran for president I’d vote for her in a heartbeat! She seems like she really has the love of the country with a level head on her shoulders. I could see her doing great things!
with deep reverence to the most admired and respected President of All Americas time. JFK still alive in our memory obviously. there was no other president as courageous as JFK.., a fast talker always with eloquence... no president can replace him.
His daughter and grandchildren love him and love talking about him But Jackie Decided to never talk about him again, A year before he died she wanted a divorce due to the whole Marilyn Monroe song thing but she acted nicely for a year and a bit after his death but a month after she was already fine it's strange to say that there wasn't a lot of love between John and Jackie.
I was moved when I heard his speech when he said ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country that was on of The most inspiring speeches that he gave. An if you ask me I think that he is turning over in the grave an shaking his head because of what this country has become it's not the country that he tried hard to keep strong he would not have let these other people tell us what to teach our kids he would tell them that this country was taught from The beginning that we are the best an that we back down from no one an that we should teach our children how to do what's right an to teach them about there country and how it came to.be the strongest country in the world an not let foreigners tell us how to teach our kids need to know about their presidents the country bring back into The schools what we were taught bring back the pledge of allegiance to the flag it's not right to allow people to teach us what to teach our kids our kids need to be taught what this country stands for and what it always has stood for I know JFK is turning over in his grave because of the what are presidents have done to this allowing foreigners to tell ice what to have with kids taught in schoolI grew up with respect for this country but I'm losing it because of the way that being tired now this is wrong bring back the way it used to be give our kids pride in this best country the way I was taught I'm sorry but this is what I think an I know that there are others out there that think this way to.
