Hi Everybody.
Today, we're going to do the vampire archetype, which is a fascinating archetype for all kinds of reasons. The vampire is one of those archetypes that has made its way into the social energy of society. It's become popular in movies and TV shows in a very peculiar way, because it's gone from this horrific nighttime stalker to an almost romantic creature. So we're going to talk about that.

I have learned in dealing with an energy vampire that it is an addiction looking for an easy fix so they don't have to find inner peace and direction for their own life. I don't say anything to change the conversation. I simply cut off their access to my energy by placing the palm of my hand over my solar plexus, which is where energy is exchanged between us. Within seconds, the energy vampire will end their talking to me and walk away. I ended the feeding and became useless to them. I ask God to help them find their way.

I equate the vampire archetype, metaphorically speaking, with the Demon Lover in Jungian Psychology. The Demon Lover uses seduction as a means to get inside the heart and mind of another until one becomes lifeless. I would love to hear more about this archetype, Carolyn. On RU-vid & other places in social media, *the demon lover* idea expresses through idea of narcissist (someone who has _no soul,_ according to some commenters and for whom there's no redemption: i.e. no hope of healing) and *the victim* archetype through "the empath" who's dealing with "all these narcissists." I do think our journey is through seeing these behaviours in ourselves (& apparent others) and forgiving ourselves & others. It's a journey of understanding.... . When I think of a narcissist as all powerful & outside of me (my thoughts about him/her don't matter & don't affect me; this is the assumption!), I'm giving my power away. Choosing thoughts that give power away. . I choose to think differently.

Anne Rice had this to say her vampire characters: "I see vampires.... as metaphors for the outsider in each of us, the predator in each of us...the lonely one who must grapple day in and day out with cosmic uncertainty." My favorite of her vampire series was the Queen of the damned not for the movie version of the vampire that goes destructive but for the book's sister that uses the vampiric power to go into the deep dark jungle and live with the big cats and snakes.

Seems to me that it's the vampiric entity of materialism which has brought the vampire archetype into the sphere of the romantic as a way of progamming the minds of the masses and making it desirable. A form of mass hypnosis by the planetary hydra which is devouring humanity and the planet. Colin Wilson wrote a great science fiction novel entitled "The Space Vampires" dealing with this topic. Love and appreciation for these discourses on the archetypes.. Precious reflections and deepening of the embrace for me.

I think it's one of the 'propagandas' or 'tricks' of the well, 'dark ones', ehem who run hollywood. Those who are darkly oriented are vampiric in nature and they operate by way of inversion and deception. They frame the bad in a good light and vice versa. So they paint a vampire (which represents them) in this romanticized, desirable, 'shiny', intriguing light. So us, 'sheeple masses' (lolz) would 'desire' to be vampired off of. I've also read a blog post years ago talking about the batman movie. Inversion was also done. Bat, creature of the night, that which lurks in the dark, and batman has loads of wealth, operating underground (ya know what I'm saying, it represent them), they have "hero-fied" batman, and vilified the joker. Joker represents the fool in the tarot deck, the innocent spirit. Turning things upside down inside out is the name of their game

Best is no contact....run. l am still healing from the trauma of people pleasing. Needing to be needed. Medication has saved me and self awareness. Co.depent almost drained me. My addictions to externals was my vampires. I go it alone...with discernment and detachments to give me what l was looking for in me and not from outside.

Thank you, Caroline. I have to come clean and say that this teaching helped open my eyes to my own vampiric tendencies. My inner dialogue is loud with complaints. With teachings such as this, therapy, age, 12-step work, etc. I am becoming more and more aware of my shortcomings (or character defects). Seeing and knowing are only half of the solution, though; it's the part where I have to follow through with doing (and thinking) differently that is difficult. It's a process. On another note, having read all of Anne Rice's books about vampires, I noticed that many of her characters are desperately seeking redemption from their human failings....or failure to be human/humane. Many of them eventually evolve into healers who give life instead of taking it. Others stay stuck in a state of soulless oblivion -screeching hordes of monsters preying on the light and life force of real humans . Anne Rice was also a devotee of all things sacred...

My last boss is a spirit energy vampire who relocates workers. Relocation & turnover rates are 75% a year. Now, I'm building an alliance of former workers and Board Directors to take her out. It's a hell of a process. I never imagined that a spiritual energy vampire would lure victims with what appears to be a professional employment opportunity. There are so many victims and a silencing within the community. Many people in the community know, but those who relocate don't have access to knowlege about the employer's pattern. It's been going on 16 years.

Have been attacked by many energy vampires, throughout my journey, as being an empath myself, I have a lot of people feeding on my life energy for a while, until I understood what was happening to me, was vampirism and then I set up healthy boundaries for myself... As someone who struggles with chronic and persistent mental health issues, I have to take medication to function. Telling ppl that medication is vampiric is like telling someone with bone sticking out of their leg, who needs ongoing medical care for a chronic fragile bone disease, to disregard medical treatment. I understand self-medicating like using alcohol misusing other substances is an act that decreases one's vibrational frequency but going the the "docotor" aka taking necessary actions to assist with mental health stability is normal and healthy. I'm curious what your thoughts are about that? Is taking medication, specifically mental health medication, if proven to be beneficial for one's mental health vampiric? Or did you mean self-medicating?

Anyone can become a energy vampire. Just watch anyone who's going through a hard time in their life. It's vampiric how they act. Some people are even conciously aware they're vampires too due to personality disorders and mental illness. Condemning someone for being vampiric doesn't help their case. Infact just creates more issues for them. Our society is ruled and run by proper vampires who want to hurt you and kill you. Our society is built off sickness once you realise that it makes sense there are heaps of energy vampires running around.......they're created. You gotta stand strong in who you are to fight it.

The part where you talk about current events, the Nazi rallies etc. helps me to identify this strange feeling I've had about people I know who've been bitten by the arch vampire... and company. It feels as if their soul and whatever trace of compassion had lived there has been sucked right out of them, and replaced with a talking head regurgitating derision, hatred, unwarranted entitlement, and a manic obsession with wanting to rule and to be ruled over....the antithesis of freedom and the golden rule, in other words. Of course, having noticed that means that anyone, including myself could become likewise infected if one were to become tempted to suffocate oneself by denying/denigrating the light inside and in others .

I have experience with your explanation of vampiric energies draining me and that creativity can not be fueled by a person who is vampiric. I have another, profound experience with the energy of people that I will make a discernment about here. I was sent to hospice considered hopeless and helpless by Western medicine. I was at deaths door. In this very fragile state I experienced that the life force of other people kept me alive. I did survive and that’s another story, but in this very fragile, painful, bed ridden state it was clear that people gave me life, maybe even just that or those extra days that I needed to do what I had to do to survive. My feeling is that there is nothing in the human realm, excluding birth or inception that is more creative.

This archetype talk is the most powerful one I've heard because it's true that our culture, especially in the US, but also in other places as well, is indeed exhibiting this powerfully in the collective. JAMA article 2000, US Healthcare Third Leading Cause of Death. Broken down, biggest culprit was correctly prescribed "meds". If they factored in suppressed cancer cures (Politics In Healing, NY State Assemblyman Daniel Haley, 2000) and the fact that doctors for decades now have not been taught how to correctly diagnose and treat hypothyroidism (Hypothyroidism, Type 2--The Epidemic, Mark Starr, MD), it is the leading cause of death every year. Starr's book explains why the blood test doesn't work and the only real test is to start on a low dose of old-fashioned, inexpensive desiccated (dried up) thyroid hormone per protocol and monitor as symptoms improve or resolve, gradually increasing the dose as tolerated. There are about 100 signs/symptoms of low thyroid (keep in mind that it manifests in each person UNIQUELY) and depression is one of the big ones. Many people have found their depression resolved on thyroid hormone alone. And if you've been tested for antibodies there's plenty in Starr's book that can be done about that. The medical/dental/cancer industry we have today is the work of John D Rockefeller following his commissioned Flexner Report. They know what they are doing: the thyroid gland is the 5th chakra--the Will. Don't bother telling this to the doctor who's giving you those "meds"; he's brainwashed. Find a doctor who knows how to treat your symptoms and not the TSH. stopthethyroidmadness.com might help you find that doctor. And Starr's book will also give web sites to visit. Godspeed.

Really the government medical industry is built not to find solution. It is a business. You have a key to solutions in this work. Very grateful. The sexual aspects of the vampire are not new. Bram Stoker’s Dracula was depicted as a sexualized monster in a way that was acceptable to Victorian society. The “bloofer lady,” Lucy Westenra, was portrayed as a seductress. During that time that kind of display of female sexuality would have been horrifying, but in our world today, it takes on a different feeling. This is where Twilight and True Blood evolved from. Personally, I don’t think we can eliminate the sexual aspect of the vampire. It’s become an important part of the lore. The key is trying to figure out what it represents and what it is trying to teach us. I think Anne Rice did this the best in The Vampire Chronicles. Vampires represent narcissism, where a person has repressed regret, shame, loneliness, and trauma and created this false mask of power and beauty in order to manipulate other people into giving them their life and power. This created even more trauma, and as a result, more vampires.

I ended up falling in love with a energy vampire.......and I did alot to protect myself and still do......but I never gave up on him. In Twilight there's a quote "the lion fell in love with the lamb" etc etc. That is a direct quote from the bible talking about how one day Predator and Prey will be able to co-exist with eachother.........to all of the empaths out here you can manage a relationship with a energy vampire. It's not recommended by any means but it can be done.....in Twilight Bella is fully aware of who Edward is, and Edward is fully aware of how he could kill and hurt her....Bella still unconditionally loves and accepts Edward anyways.........and Edward pulled up alot to keep her safe........it was all consensual. Honestly I wish my life could've been any other way.........but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants. Personal boundaries are highly important everyone.

Been married to a vampyre for 12 years. Major thing with him is complaining and non-belief in his power. He goes into rages to compensate for his unrealised masculinity. I agonised over stepping away from a friendship a few years back. But she was a chronic complainer, and I noticed I would come away from every encounter completely drained and with a migraine. I can see so clearly now what was going on but I was not so spiritually mature then. Thankfully she moved to another town so that it was fairly easy to distance myself. But I heard from a friend of hers that “everything that could go wrong is going wrong” with her new house…

I know this archetype... As for complaining, I used to do that, telling people about my problems when I was going through painful times with my family. I think I thought that was the way to interact with people. The past few years, I've had some people do that to me; the non-stop complaining, it wears you down. I had to stop talking to a few "friends" because that is all they did. I seldom complain anymore because I am so aware of how it feels; although I can feel the urge to do it sometimes, it feels needy. When I was young, the film Dracula, with Christopher Lee, came out. I was entranced by him. His deep voice and dark eyes were very romantic. I think it was also the feeling of completely submitting to someone. (I'm just reporting my experience here.) Also, I think the vampire energy is similar to the narcissist, who drains their victim/partner of energy and will and controls them. I've been watching HG Tudor's channel on narcissism, and he talks about the issues of control that the narc has over his/her victim. Very interesting.

So true! There are some ideas coming into my mind while listening: 1. Every kind of energy attachment has a preference point in us, a tiny will that says yes to a vampire. I guess, this is shown by visualising vampires as romantic and hyper cultivated and as a kind of erotic temptation, the person who will be get drained surrenders and feel good about it. But the truth is, it's not good and if you resist, it becomes an act of an attack against your will, the vampire is showing his/her true face. 2. Protecting the energetic body is shown through using garlic, sacred water, the cross etc. for protection and it's always a theme in vampire fiction. Now we have our gemstones and other props and awareness of subliminal massages, mind control etc. 3. And it's really about time, not only in terms of staying alive, or deny to reinkarnate with the baggage of former sins, but also the process of time matters in this archetype more than in another archetypes, it's about first happens this, than that, than this, if you do this than you can do this. So, it shows action and reaction, cause and effect and responsibility for our own will. I guess the overall message we get from horror movies is "I have to grow fast."

Thank you Carolyn. I recognized my complaining as a form of energy vampirism. I think it would be helpful to distinguish between wanting connection to process extremely difficult emotions when therapists are in short supply and draining someone's life force energy. I don't want to blame people who think they're looking for co-regulation of their nervous system and who genuinely need connection to recover themselves with an energy vampire. I've been ending relationships with my family after facing the lack of integrity in those relationships. I have been putting forth energy for creating a new life moving forward without them. And it's really hard. It really doesn't matter if I like it, my soul has to move on. Finding my own full existence without needing any family support because there's nothing really there is a great journey and what you've said about chakra alignment and head, heart alignment resonates with me. I will be more careful about complaining. It really isn't sexy or life giving.

Great post. Thank you! My Mother always used to say; 'There are two kinds of people; Radiators & Drains! I married a Vampire - mis-spent 20 plus years giving my all - now he 'vamps' on our kids. I consider NPD/Cluster Be ( sociopath/Psychopath etc - and the current pandemic of this soul-sickness) all part of the socially engineered Social Climate; the world now 'celebrates' brokenness and fears resilience/brilliance/light - so keep shining Bright!

It's fascinating to compare the vampire archetype to shows and movies. For Buffy, I felt as if Whedon lived his fantasy as an alpha male predator who could control even the most powerful woman, in this case, a girl, a child, Buffy. Although I love the show for its storytelling and format, I can't overlook how Buffy is underage and these vampire men were at least "20-30" in human appearance. Maybe that primal instinct to dominate and control exists within men and it is up to their own self-work and observation that they would rise above it. And it is definitely the victim archetype naturally being drawn to anyone who would fill that vacuum that their abuser had left.

Wow. Such a timely video that popped up in my feeds! I recently cut off someone who embodies and looks like this archetype. The problem is, even though I saw it, I overlooked it from the beginning and didn't try to protect myself. But my friend's first impression just from the photo was Romantic Vampire vibes. Yes, he was feeding off of my life force energy.

I've recently had to cut someone from my energy field as well. She's been going through a health crisis and I got sucked in through my passion for healing. It's tricky because she also happens to live next door. Once I made my decision, I noticed my energy level restoring almost immediately.

I was always curious about this medieval historic King from Moldavia, I have read biographic books and lately watched the new TV serie, The Otomans, they explain his emotional darkness from childhood in a biographic, historic and documentary way and how he couldn't manage the negative energy from his own emotions.

Caroline... yes, you've confused Twin Peaks with Forks (a town on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State). (Twin Peaks was also filmed in Washington... in Snoqualmie , North Bend and Falls City)... (And Northern Exposure! ... in Rosalind, Easton and Redmond, WA). Twilight (2008, the Vampire movie) which takes place in Forks, was filmed in numerous locations in WA but also OR.

As to medication, if you've lost your entire thyroid and then some, how do one heal themselves so they don't require thyroid medication? Is that possible. I think it must be but I'm clueless about it. Any help...would be most appreciated. Lost it bc of cancer FYI.
