I like how Caroline freely shares the meaning and the ideas behind her music and videos rather than being cryptic or coy. She has said that reading the lyrics while listening to an album was always a major part of the experience for her, and she doesn't deny that to us. You didn't even have to buy 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘨 to get the official lyrics-she released a lyric video for every song on the album (and she included the lyrics to "Bunny Is a Rider" in the video description, too). On top of that, she wrote an Instagram post for each song from 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘨 when its lyric video was released to give us even more.
but i feel like sometimes things go wayy personal and you don't wanna tell everyone everthing. As a songwriter whose love is also lyrics i appreciate her for doing it and its even ok if someone doesnt want to share a very personal experience
By the way, if you like this video, you should watch "Chairlift - Making 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩," which is a beautifully directed short about the making of Chairlift's final album. It's amazing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Th8aVTAWSgo.html
I discovered Caroline's music only a year ago, and yet its become such an integral part of life I teared up seeing the box labelled Chairlift! Barely saved myself from.. Crying in Public.
I find these behind the scenes videos so comforting. People in their 20s often feel pressured to release the most high quality incredible products into the world on their own. But with anything high quality you see there is a whole team of people that put it together. Best to focus on your own creativity first, share them to make connections. Through that we will get there in time. Your worth does not depend on your work!
The power that that has, the intelligence that that has, the clearance that that has, the access that that has, the influence that that has, the profile that that has, the international implications that that has, the rider that that bunny truly is
How can C and M be so cool and chill working around each other when they are actually high-key hot and hyper artistes? Incredible self-control on display.
@@sadmermaid Matt Copson, the co-director and Caroline's current partner. I work with my partner and it takes a lot of self-discipline to be civil and professional together. I'm sure this "Behind the Scenes" glosses over some of the uglier stuff that inevitably goes on between teammates, but the vibe radiating off them is so pure and full of mutual respect, I stan.
I like this song by Caroline Polachek. Polachek is a genius of music, with her singing and artistic creativity. I think that Juliana Chahayed and Caroline Polachek should do a song together. They are two of my fave singers in American music.
yes yes yes! I love the concept and dream like idea for this video and the song is just an work of art, Caroline and the team, your geniuses! I'm hooked! and I'm now going to have to listen to all your songs, any recommendations anyone?
Speaking of PISTACHIO ICE CREAM (1:47), you should try Ben & Jerry's Pistachio Pistachio with salt sprinkled on it. I wonder what a Caroline Polachek flavor would be called....... So Cold You're Hurting My Fillings? Show Me the Banana?
This is so fascinating to me; I love when the artist shows their process ❤️ also, caroline polachek appears to have a pretty active role in the direction, which I would assume most musicians don't
I enjoyed the explanation of the maze, but what's the story behind the personal teleportation device? Also, wondering if the team was inspired by Dave Made a Maze (2017)? :D
