I saw your comment first and I had never heard of this group. I burst out into tears when they started playing and I was meant to see it this morning. Also my name is Caroline 😂
@@dsully96 The Microphones moved me to tears and when I eventually saw Caroline headline in Lewes at the start of last year, they pretty much did the same thing to me there. Extremely moving and beautiful band.
That's a big old bus and trailer or a fuggin' convoy of hired SUV's when the lads and lassies go on tour. Most pubs the audience would have to stand outside and listen through the windows!😂 Their sound is like watching fish in a pond... Glimpses of unity and a tune that swims back into the depths when it spots you listening. Oddly, compellingly enjoyable. Thanks 👍
Saw these guys at All Together now last year and they absolutely sent us to a different dimension. Remember 3 of us were lying down in the tent for the whole thing, transforming experience.
With a name like caroline I was expecting you guys to be like a cross between Something Corporate and Jason Mraz or something I totally wouldn't have been very much interested in but I saw the word "dissonance " in the top comment, and so I thought to give it a listen. Glad I did. You guys are captivating. Great sound!
Its reminds me so much of the chamber music i used to play, just in their complete connection to one another and the simultaneous necessity to pay exclusive attn to ur own part, as well. I absolutely love them!
that donk acoustic guitar solo starting around 2:30 is amazing. Somehow made it sound like a person to has no idea how to play just happened to get something beautiful out on accident. had to listen 4 or 5 times
The anticipation at the end of the last song! 💕💕💕 really different style…I like it! Thanks Tiny Desk for always delivering for us. Thanks Caroline for sharing your music with us!
At first it made me laugh a lot that they have so many guitarists, but in fact they are all super talented! Thanks Tiny Desk for introducing me to so many bands I've been following for a long time now :) Including this one, for sure!
Yesh! Good! Heard caroline in March of 22' and found a name for the sonic umami spice heretofore never crystalized. A warm complexity expressed simply, captured honestly and felt wholly. The album cover is an image with a projected metaphor to the weight, at moments asymetiric, planted in the earth, aware the elements will soften and burnish. Yup. Good stuff, cant get enough!
