I remember starting fishing there back in the 1970s. If I remember right, the tackle shop nearby was called “Cook’s”. Anyone else remember it?

Yep, I remember Cooks in Hazel Grove. It was owned by Ted (if I remember his name correctly) Cook and his wife. Used to love the place as a kid, spent a lot of my paper round money in there 🙂 Sadly long gone now.

Good Vid, I was always led to beleive that Poynton was a bit of a hole, but it looks rather nice to be honest!
