Don’t do two at the same time. You won’t be able to even wipe your bottom. I have been there so I do know one at a time! Prayers and blessings for Gigi!😊❤
I can see wanting to have both done at the same time but as others have said you would have to have constant help with everything. So I would only have one done at a time. Prayers for Gigi. 🙂🙏🏻❤️
After many decades of daily crocheting and knitting I ended up having carpal tunnel surgery and I’m glad I did. I would never do both at the same time, do the worst one first and then heal up, then think about the other hand. Wishing for a quick recovery for Gigi, and much relief afterward. ❤
@gilliansilvester5596 That sounds terrible! I had mine on a Friday and was able to work [computer] on Monday. Kept it bandaged and took tylenol for few days. Yes it sounds like I was very lucky!
Oh sweet Kim, I had that surgrry, and my neurologist recommended one at a time. I am so glad I took his advice because at my age, (I think I am 2-years older than GiGi) I have to go pee quit often and I could not imagine my husband being my nurse. As for #2, he would have probably hosed me down with the garden hose, seriously! I vote for 1 at a time. You look extra pretty today. ❤❤
I would not suggest both hands at the same time. I had both of my hands done in 1993 and it was the best decision I have ever made. Recovery was quick on both hands after each surgery...good luck Gigi!
I'm ANITA: Hello "Sister" KIm. Please get Gigi to do one hand at a time. I've had both hands, one hand at a time. She needs the other hand to wipe, brush teeth, brush hair and be able to bath herself. It TAKES LONGER THAN A WK. TO HEAL! My daughter just had her hand done Tues. and the Dr. told her not to drive for 3 wks because she had it on her right hand and she is right handed. I agree wait till it cools off sometime; the heat your having is Brutal. It really gets to people as we age more than when we were young. Please tell Levi that Anita says; "Hi and I luv him more than clowns". I luv when Levi talks too and it blesses my heart when he tells us He loves us. Sending Luv and Prayers From Tenn. God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals Kim: Please remember we bounce back from surgery better young than when we're older. I'm going to have to have stents put in the main artery in both my legs in the groan area. Please Pray for me too!
I feel for Gi, I'm 74 yrs old and I'm the same, Carpal Tunnel surgery I have had, one hand at a time cause you can't do anything for 3 months, and Gi is still a busy lady looking out for Great Grand babies.
Prayers for GiGi 🙏🙏. I wouldn’t do 2 at the same time because it would be hard for her to do anything, bath, going to the bathroom, etc……. Have a wonderful day to you and Levi❤️❤️
Prayers for Gigi. I had to have surgery for my carpal tunnel. I don’t blame her if she waits one done at a time. It will be to hard for her to have both done at the same time.
I was going to comment in the video about the baker's rack about how pretty it is, but life has been happening lately. It is gorgeous and is a beautiful backdrop there today as you talk about things in this video. I noticed in that previous video that your coffee table is also metal and wood; so the two go together very well, I believe. My mother had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands but didn't do it at the same time. I think having both hands operated on at the same time would be tough especially with personal hygiene issues and other things; so I would vote for one at a time. I do feel that, if she's having issues in both hands to one degree or the other, that she'll have to have the second one done at some point in time. It might wait a few months or years, but once she gets the relief from the first operation, she'll probably want to get the second one done too.
Prayers for Gigi. Please don’t tell people what security you have at your home, not fussing but you never know who’s watching your videos. Love you and Levi bunches AND WNT YOU TO BE SAFE. 🥰
I just love hearing Levi in the background giggling, and especially when he says God bless or that he loves us. Praying for your mom and all of the family. God bless you! Love from Canadice NY ❤
I had my hand done! I worked as a mail carrier, went back to work the next day! I never had any pain at all after! My hand had gone numb. Don’t let her wait that long!
Afternoon Kim and Levi. Oh Lord, I had carpal tunnel in both hands and had nerve damage in my left and the pain was horrible but the recovery was good. My Dr did 1#hand and 4weeks later the surgeon did the other. I felt like I had 2# new hands..... The pain was horrible until my surgery and still 34yrs later still no pain. A successful surgery in both hands. If she waits for the other surgery it can cause nerve damage to her arm as it did mine before I went to my Dr. Prayers for our Gigi, hi 👋 Levi and Prayers for God to continue to bless 🙌 each of you on the hill.....Much ❤❤to everyone!! God bless....
Hi Kim & Levi 🥰🥰 Sorry to hear about GiGi;s hands. Kim your mom has to be able to do personal hygiene. I done one hand at the time. It has been when the healing time was six weeks and physical's therapy. Best operation I have ever done. I feel her pain...
Kim, when that happened to me, it was 2 disc in my neck that was bulging. My aunt was told that and had surgery, it messed up her hand, and it was her neck. My spine surgeon said I was on the verge of being paralyzed, so hand surgery would've made my hand worse. After neck surgery my hand and arm was better. Tell her to get a MRI on her neck first.
I will most definitely pray for your mom, but sometimes you get cooped up when you have surgery and it’s during the winter time you’re lucky you’re in Texas, but she would be able to get out more during the summer or fall time but in this world of Doctors it could be a year before she actually gets it kathleen from Oregon 💚
Hi Kim & Levi. Praying for GiGi. GiGi will feel so much better getting it done. Honestly I would rather do one at a time than both myself. Enjoy your evening. Love you and God bless.❤️🙏
Definitely only do one hand at a time. Will be keeping her in my prayers for a fast and speedy recovery. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻…. Does she still have a page???? Have a bless weekend Kim♥️🤗
Surgery at our age its difficult. The anesthesia is hard on us. Some of my friends aren’t the same. Your mom and I are the same age 77. Sending good thoughts and care. 💕
Honestly, I would not have both at the same time. My husband had it and I don’t think he would have done well with both at the same time. I suggest healing between both if she can wait. He has done great and he has no issues. Prayers for Gigi 🙏
Years back I had both my feet operated on at the same time for plantar fascitis. That went well but I think your hands would be different. But that's a decision she's gonna have to make. Prayers for her. GOD bless y'all.
Prayers for Gigi! I had to have carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and they did mine at the same time. It’s outpatient surgery and I have 2 tiny incisions. Recovery was not bad or long. I was 66 when I had it done. I did not have to have PT on them. It’s been 4 1/2 years since surgery and I have not had any problems at all.
Love you Levi. I would be like GiGi. Who wants to be disabled in both hands at the same time. You would have to have help wiping yourself and other things. I think she would want to have a little dignity. That way she could still babysit if she wanted to. And who wants to be laid up on a holiday.
Those EMG nerve tests hurt! Tell GiGi to only do 1 hand at a time...the one that bothers her the most. My sister did both hands together & said it was the worst decision she'd ever made bc she couldn't use either hand as she healed. Bathroom time was impossible 🤭
I definitely will be praying for Gigi, I know what it feels like, I have it to in both hands, they fall asleep on me, with everything I do! I just don't want to have surgery, but Teresa here in Minnesota is always praying for you and your whole family and Love you too Levi! God bless you all!
I have had both hands done at two different times. I would suggest doing them separately. Recovery is fast. I know Gigi will be fine sending prayers.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Get a ring cam doorbell. Can get hard wired or rechargeable. Can set it to show you motion activated or only when they actually ring the bell. Will alert you on your phone. Can set sensitivity. You can talk through them. We also got the chimes that plug into an outlet. Buddy could set for you.
Yes, the EMG test does hurt. Feels like a cattle probe to me and that was done in 1988. Praying that Gigi will have one hand done at a time. Blessings on her decision.
Praying for GiGi to be healed in Jesus name. You’re a sweet daughter to hep mama out. My mom is 2400 miles away from me and I miss helping her. Love your uplifting channel
Hi Kim, I seen this video posted yesterday but I am now just getting to watch it! I am dealing with carpal tunnel myself. I have had the nerve test done and it’s very painful! I wouldn’t recommend having both done at the same time, like someone mentioned you can’t even wipe your own bottom if you have them both done at the same time. My ex had his done at the same time, I was working full time so he was on his own. He had to call a neighbor to come help him to button his jeans, I don’t know why he wasn’t wearing sweatpants that he could pull up himself. We laughed about that for years! I will pray that Mom can get thru this with very little complications! I have another appointment with the orthopedic surgeon in a couple weeks!
I had my left hand done last June, and now I am going to get the right hand done. Carpal tunnel will become very painful with nerve pain. At least it did with me. It was worse than the constant tingling and numbness. Praying for Gigi. My aunt has had both hands done twice and she's around 72. She won't be able to lift anything over a few pounds for quite a while. It will take at least 3 or 4 months to heal. Love you, Levi, and the animals and family ❤️ 🙏🏻
I have carpal tunnel, when I was diagnosed, one of the ladies at work had it fine in both hands. The way it look was horrible . This was over 35 years ago and I worked on the computer everyday, even played takes at home. My hands would go numb and the fingers would tingle. I started to find placing my hands on something cold it helped the feeling and the tingling fade. Years later, when I got pregnant, it was bad. I had no problem finding cold places. In the winter, I would wake up, first thing I did was put my hands on the wall to get feeling in my hands. I’m not using my computers often, my occasionally I get the feeling, I go to my refrigerator and put my hand(s) on the door. Usually less than a minute. And I stretch my fingers out back and forth helps get the kinks out. Tell her when she washes her hands, at the end use cold water for a few seconds. It’s such a habit to me, I forget that I do it. When she does get it done, not everyone can wipe themselves with a different hand. A bidet seat put on the toilet may help. Lester had a few given to him, not sure what he did with them. If he still has them, it is a nice thing to have. People don’t want to use them, but I once you tried one, most love them. One that has hot and cold water. You just need access to the hot water line under the sink. The cold water ones just use the water that goes in the tank. I will get better, she has to decide what she wants to do,
Love you too, Levi 🙂 Prayers going up for Gigi and I agree with a few others that say one at a time. She won't be able to do anything at all for at least a week if she does them both at once. It does sound like she does need them both done though, just not both at the same time
Praying 🙏 for your Mom ,Kim . And yes ,get one hand done at the time . Years ago, they tested my left side and wanted me to start wearing one of those wrist braces, I couldn't deal with that,so for now, it is what it is. With me, it doesn't help that I got Fibromyalgia and hurt even with medication all the time . Trust me ,I get so frustrated with myself at times ...Grrr... I am a person who wants to do things on my own .Yes ,the more I do, the more I hurt. At 60 years of age and, let's say, 20 - 25 more to live, I can't just sit down and do nothing ... I go bat 💩 crazy...😂😂😂... I slow down when it gets too bad and day by day ,little by little, get it done...🎉 Your mom will be alright. Once the first surgery is finished with ! ❤❤❤ PRAYERS, PRAYERS, PRAYERS ❤❤❤ Love Y'ALL on Morrow Hill ❤❤❤
❤Good video! Praying for GiGi!!! Kim have you exercised in your room yet??? I have a vibration plate like you and I brought it out into my living room. I use it everyday for 20 minutes at a time. It’s great for inflammation, it opens up the lymphatic system. I do it before I walk. I really want to encourage you to walk!!! You’ll be amazed at the fat you’ll lose! It’s not enough to just have your exercise room set up. Bring out that vibration plate and use it!!!!😊love you!!!
Yes every morning except this morning. I use the plate for 10 minutes. I walk, (fast paced) for 10 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the elliptical machine...
They only do 1 at a time, so you can still wipe when done with the toilet. 💖❤💘💝💓I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!!! Have a great day!!
I was diagnosed 32 years ago with severe & moderate carpal tunnel in my wrists. Osteoarthritis pain affects my hands more than carpal issues. My neurologist & a neurosurgeon have tried to pressure me into surgery, but I still refuse it - without regret. I don’t want the pain & recovery time from the surgery - which also might need to be repeated every couple of years. I do well using wrist splints at night, but I rarely need them.
I had carpal tunnel in my right hand 6yrs ago. Tingling fingers. I had the surgery and never have needed the left done, so far. I wouldn't do both at the same time because you can't use the hand for awhile. Of course she should do what she wants. Praying for Gigi.
Definitely not both at one time and maybe the worst one first to see how it goes. My husband had right hand done years ago and it really helped. Praying she has a good Dr.
