CARPET CLEANING AT HOME - STAIN REMOVAL 

I had a Clarke power head similar to what you have there. That was a very long time ago, in the 70's. Didn't care for it much. These days I am doing low moisture bonnet cleaning. Works better, dries faster. No wicking.

You should just pad cap it with proxi and the stain will be gone.
