Thanks for the comparison. Out of all the dressings in the local stores, the Turtle Wax is the one I grab. It's a great product for the money. Also on your comparison at 2:13, the Turtle Wax shot has more light hitting it (look at the ground, too). I think they are really close. And for my maintenance washes when my tires aren't super dirty, I also use rinseless wash, but I wipe them down with a mitt instead of using a brush. That way I can wipe off most of the dirt without potentially wearing the dressing down faster.

Great suggestion! I try with just a rag next time! But yeah I noticed that too, it's so hard to get the same exact lighting when filming outdoors... The darkness difference is slight and they honestly look the same if you're not staring at it and consciously comparing!

I like the look of the carpro. But for me there is something about applying a fresh coat of tire shine after a detail

yeah me too! But I feel wrong about stripping it off every 2-3 weeks or less just to put on a new coat...

@willsridecare I've been using Maniac Wheel and tire cleaner. If I'm going for a heavy reset, I'll use the wheel and tire cleaner followed by purple power agitated with a tire brush. Haven't seen any sling issues with that method.

I've been waiting for this update! Love the chill vibe your content has, keep it up! In terms of pricing, I find I have to reapply DarkSide less often to get the look I'm after. So in the end the cost evens out, for me at least!

Yeah like I said in your other video, i just did this same test and price wise i think the TW is a better option. I think it also depends on the tires. I just got new tires and in my wife's vehicle the TW has been on for 3 weeks and it looks fantastic still even with two days driving in rain

Turtle Wax’s quality has taken a leap up the past 5 years or so. Try the Mr Cartoon products. There’s a lot to like for the money there.

Use both and the difference is not worth the price, when I run out of Darkside i might just keep buying TW. I normally wash my vehicle every week or other week. By the way how's using Darkside with a spray head? I use the pump that it came with

@@aalfonso4706 the spray head work pretty well on it, it’s a thicker liquid so it’s not exactly a mist but good enough to spray on a brush. I probably wouldn’t reapply every week since these solvent based dressing can last a couple weeks at least!

What is this? California? Car looks exactly the same 2 weeks after a wash as it did 2 minutes after a wash. Try something like this somewhere where it rains and there are dirt on some roads, some roads are only dirt, etc.

haha nope this is upstate NY where it rains and roads aren't the best. I think it only speaks to how well these solvent based dressing held up👍🏼

I don't agree with this as in the UK the price difference is negligible. Import taxes and international shipping are playing a large part here. CarPro, imo, isn't a premium brand, it's just a quality brand. TW Hybrid range is a quality lineup too. Buy the one you want!

@@pigeonpoo1823 I can’t speak to how it is in the UK, but carpro has a reputation of a more premium brand than Turtle Wax. But the hybrid solutions line is definitely a gem!
