@@MICHVEl12 Groundhog Day continues for two reasons; Tourist attraction/small town PR, and simple silly fun. Tradition of the USMC of not leaving your dead or wounded on the field of battle enhances the esprit de corp and further bonds fighters into a living beast. Why does the U.S. still have a Columbus Day? Because the, at the time, Italian minority wished to have an aspect of their culture integrated into the general WASP culture regardless if it was myth covering slave taking and general slaughter. Any major religious holiday, Christmas, Easter, etc were taking previous religion's holidays, filing off the non-christian identifiers (winter solstice, spring equinox, etc) and claiming it's been theirs all along. The importance of preserving heritage, tradition and race culture and its heritage reflect and shape values, beliefs, and aspirations, and societal control, thereby defining a people’s national or regional identity. It is important (to some) to preserve a local and national cultural heritage, because it keeps an acknowledged integrity as a people. It's traditional in the Southern U.S. to treat minority people as second class citizens and in years past many of those individuals migrated to northern cities or to the west coast. These migrations included blacks going to mill towns or major metropolitan cities. This same mind set also saw the construction of societal sub groups like gay areas in NYC or San Francisco. If it doesn't serve a purpose then it shouldn't be a traditional.
@@MICHVEl12 It's about winning the race, and nobody adheres to tradition if it stands in the way of winning. That's like saying don't use the Fosbury Flop for high jump because the traditional way is straddle. Improving aerodynamics would win every race when everybody else goes by tradition...
It appears that these fellows do not understand anything about the concept of “drafting”, when following another car in front of them. Drafting would make a huge aerodynamic difference.

Quality is fine (you think everyone can afford a $500 camera?), why would we want music when there's the sound of the race (you can play any music you want along with watching this video), and commentary is also rather superfluous.
