je ne m'en lasse jamais ! et cette période où Jose reprend ses rôles après la maladie, sa voix est toujours aussi belle. Quel magnifique partenariat avec Montserra que j'adore aussi.
The video cut is a tragedy. But for as long as it lasts you will never hear a sweeter, more plausible Mimi than this. Puccini would be reduced to tears, as am I.
The most touching introduction of oneself - this is who I am and what I do - by the most beautiful tenor voice and most handsome tenor. Watch him breathe after the aria, flush with the concentration of performance, listening to the applause and smiling at the magnificent Montserrat, who chose him as her tenor.
REALMENTE DOS GRANDES DE LA OPERA DE ESPAÑA Y PARA MI GUSTO UNA DE LAS MEJORES VOCES DEL MUNDO ..... EN LAS MAS BELLAS ÁREAS DE LA BOHEME ¡¡¡¡DIOS GRACIAS POR DARNOS ESAS VOCES!!!!
Beautiful yes even with out the high C which until the later part of the 20c was almost never sung even by the greats and I included all the usual ones in that statement. What is the point in singing that single high note if the rest of the Aria is ruined because the tenor does not express what he is singing. Jose for me is the one and only Rudolfo
From the 50's on into the 80's the half tone transposition was the rule, rather than the exception. Pavarotti records in his first book that he had to request it be taken to the proper key. The same is true of the Cabaletta of Di Quella Pira. Now it is expected to be taken in key, because of the 90's movement towards score fidelity.
