I couldn’t have asked for a better day out. The weather was excellent and my mate Ericson was available for a fish, so fish we did!
First stop was to collect some live worms from Maslin’s Beach. Unfortunately the worms were difficult to catch but we ended up with enough for a days fishing.
We checked the beaches further south down Carrickalinga way and settled on a location to fish.

That spot is great for Yellowfin using infeet slippery dog lure. Get the bag limit easily.

Have you tried using hard lures to catch yellowfin..? They love them and easier to catch in the shallows

Yes, I’ve used lures for Yellowfin and I will do a video in the future with them as well.

What type and make of hard lures are you talking about? Have you found in some parts that lures will not work?

There is some fish flesh in the hand bait bags. I tend to use the same fish as what’s in the sent bag but pilchard also works well.

@@earthb67 Both the Yellowfin and Beach Worms are wide spread, I’ve caught the beach worms as far North as Grange Beach and the Yellowfin even further North.
