I know it's sooo cute like a sweet puppy or cute kitty. Even though I'm a girl or woman. Having her as a daughter would be so sweet she's so lovable❤️❤️❤️
Made me laugh too, I am a believer and that is just ridiculous. It's people like her that make the Christian community look bad, prom isn't a sin let alone dressing for it. Every time this woman talked I was hoping someone would just rip her tongue off to shut her up but I guess Carrie shutting her mouth up was good enough wish I could do that in real life.
+packisbetter90 I was actually kind of revolted. I mean, if I had overly-religious parents (and thank goodness I don't), and they told me to burn my dress, I would be like, "Hell naw! I'm outta here!"
huifang huang Unless of course she used her powers on her of course but either way how could she listen with Margret always abusing her and locking her up in closets all her life and accusing she sinned alot sooner or later people like Carrie will rebel
Maybe they wanted us to believe that she's sweet(because, appearance plays a huge part in a movie), because, unlike the original movie's actress, she looked like a more innocent villain(or whatever). I don't know, that's what I think
YOU SAW THAT?! When she slammed door, lock heated so much, that it melted together. That's NOT telekinesis, it's Pyrokinesis... I am loosing track of what power Carrie welds...
Actually Carrie doesn't just possess the power of Telekinesis, it's just that there's many limits to her powers that she doesn't understand. She can summon hail and rocks from the sky, and heat a lock. So she can control the weather and set things on fire.
That's one reason why I don't like this scene. She can move things but the director gave her some extra Powers. If u wanna See a Stephen King girl that burns things go and watch Charlie in Firestarter
There is literally nothing funny about that line.. It just shows that she's delusional, sure, but also uneducated. Besides, in a deleted scene, it is explained how she thinks that women with breasts are living in sin and that's why they have them.
TANGLED THE MOVIE RAPUNZEL's evil fake mother: MOTHER KNOWS BEST JUST LEAVE IT TO YOUR MOTHER ITS A SCARY WORLD OUT THERE. MARGARET IN CARRIE:THEY are going to laugh at you they are all gonna laugh at you.
I'm not a fan of remakes. However, I must admit that this 2013 remake of "Carrie" was pretty good! It actually followed Stephen King's novel quite faithfully, the only major difference being that original novel and film adaptation took place in the 1970s but in this adaptation it was changed to the 2010s. I was also particularly impressed with Julianne Moore's portrayal of Carrie's psycho mother. She really nailed this part.
You're joking. You must be. 30 seconds and it's obvious that this "film" should have been dropped in "the bin". Flat, hollow "acting" sounds like they're simply regurgitating script lines and looking at the union clock. The producer ought to be ashamed.
Actually, in King's original book, Carrie was mostly meant to be kinda plain at best in terms of looks. She was mainly picked on because she was the social outcast, the one who wasn't as pretty or as popular as the other girls in the school. And in De Palma's original, Sissy Spacek was able to bring that out. In this version, Moretz is just too beautiful and not very likely to be taken seriously as the ugly duckling girl, like what King describes in the book.
@@heymistercarter. I see it differently. Chloe's Carrie was bullied precisely because she was beautiful. Chris was most likely jealous of her, to the point where she wanted to break Carrie just to feel better about herself. It was just a bonus to Chris that Carrie had such a shitty home life and knew next to nothing about the world or even female biology that she was able to use it against her.
She's a fanatic, extremist, and whatever you believe if you go crazy and extremist is just bad. My mom is catholic but she never was like Carrie's mom.
That's so true but I am lucky my mom is normal and not this freaking wild but my heart goes out to anybody with a mother or relative that acts like this
Interesting fact: In the original movie, when Piper Laurie (who played the mother) called the dress red, it was actually a blooper. However, it really fit the scene so they kept it in.
I'm not really into horror movies but this is a movie I would watch and I would be carries friend because she is not a mean girl it's her mom and people that make he that way
Here’s my top horror movies 1. Friday the 13th 2. Halloween 2 3. Nightmare on elm street 4: the thing 5: the blob 6: Chucky 7. The fog 8. American psycho 9: howl 10: American Warewolf 11. Carrie
Tbh it was all the mother’s fault. She TURNED Carrie into an outcast, she made her scared of the world just because of her powers. All Carrie needed was love which is the thing she never got from the only family she had. This all could have been avoided if the mom taught Carrie how to use her powers wisely.
I swear moms can predict when something will go wrong or if someone is toxic or bad. Like I’ve been in millions of bad situations and friendships and my mom was already right about them, I knew she was right but I didn’t want to believe that
her voice when she talks and say momma. My heart. Also, you should not normally be able to weld a lock closed like that with telekinesis. Unless of course she either has another power or she is that powerful and smart she can manipulate metal to the atomic level. eg, creating heat by making the atoms vibrate.
I don't understand how and why someone would bully, torment and be so cruel to a sweet and innocent girl like Carrie. It just makes me sick that people think that's it's okay to ruin someone's life and destroy their happiness.
It just occurred to me. Carrie's mother, Margaret, mentions how Carrie's father "took her" and she became pregnant with Carrie. So, Margaret was raped. Rape is a serious form of trauma, as we know. Often those traumatized are not just fearful of others and the world, but angry as well. They become full of rage and vengeance over the cruelty that was done to them. Margaret took her anguish and pain and transferred it to herself (self-hitting seen here and cutting seen in other parts of the film) and to Carrie through various forms of abuse, from the psychological to the physical. She is not merely a religious zealot but a truly traumatized woman who has never received any kind of counseling or relief.
There’s a lot of mixed messages about the circumstances of Carrie’s conception. Some say that Margaret was raped, which could definitely be true. But from what I know of Steven King as a writer, it’s much more likely that Margaret had sex before marriage, enjoyed it, felt Extremely Guilty and Ashamed for enjoying it, and also accidentally became pregnant with Carrie. In this particular version though- it seems like Margaret was raped- in that her boyfriend had her get drunk in order to more easily convince her to have sex- which is a form of rape. But Margaret felt so guilty and so ashamed, and took all of that blame on herself, rather than assigning it to who it actually belonged to. Either way, Margaret obviously took out her rage, pain, and humiliation, on Carrie. Which for me personally is doubly sad, bc one of my relatives experienced something like this, and it Really messed them up.
Carrie is my favorite King book. This rendition got a lot of shit, but it stayed true to the way King wrote it. Not to mention, Julianne Moore was incredible.
I feel better knowing that Carrie's mother's mouth was nice and secured by Carrie, preventing her from saying anything but little mmmphs. I think Carrie should've locked her mother's mouth during the whole movie so "mamma" knows who is really in charge, and that her words are under lock and key at Carrie's descretion.
I can only imagine how terrifying it was for Carrie to be locked in that closet for so long and waiting for her mother to let her out of it, terrible parenting could have given her PTSD from being in the darkness for so long, She {{The mother Margaret}} Now will feel the same terror and fear she made her daughter feel
I can only imagine what would have happen if Carrie had came home perfectly fine Tommy would have continued to date carrie the mother got help for her illness and the three all lived together, Chris and Billy gets thrown in jail due to the prank and sue becomes carrie's official best friend that would have been a perfect ending
never do that to my mom cuz if I did that then I'd be grounded for life. I can be very honest I somehow went to last year's prom at Edgewood Country Club it was so cool that there wasn't a bucket of anything that would dump me
