01:00 Beautiful analysis on Brody :) He is not a terrorist. He is a person with a broken spirit. They broke his mind, yes, but he was also a victim of "destiny" or fate. He fell in love with Issa. This broke his heart. Nicholas Brody is Dorothy's 3 companions: he lost his heart with the death of Issa (Tin-Man), he lost his mind (after 8 years torture and redemption) and he lost his soul with his actions (Lion). Killing people isn't a solution... well nothing justifies the Vice President for killing all those innocent children either, an eye for a eye. This VP was Actually an asshole I am not saying assholes deserve to die but Brody was a true man compare to him. I am glad this show contains such controversy as killing civilians while chasing terrorists and also breaking civil rights and even human rights. There is never Just an evil and good in War (there is an exception Nazis, fascists, communists and imperial ''nazi'' Japan who were true and pure evil) Now nowadays the situation is way more complicated.

Probably the most intense and heartbreaking romantic scene I ever saw in a movie or in a TV series. Beautiful setting with the colours and the noise of the forest, and then at some point that melancholic music... So touching with the different emotions. I love Carrie's smile after Brody tells her she makes him feel good. It's like the sun breaks through the clouds. God.. Carries eyes just lights up when hes looking at Brody oh she's never loved anyone like shes loved brody. I mean sure shes had a couple of romances after brody passed. But now, shes gotten to be the alpha in a way Unlike when he was with brody. Brody is damn lucky..its like she gave it all to brody that there is too little left for others. Know watta mean hmm. Hope im makin sense.. Its just my personal feeling about it...their chemistry is insane that i actually forget its just a tv series.. We can say that Carrie was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Brody, Saul, Dar Adal and Quinn... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts: - Would you like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press? - Clearly, Javadi's ability to receive credit for Brody's capture helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder? - Was your name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you think. - Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. He ended up doing that scene ... why ?? Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and she succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else. Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was incredible, it will be one of the most memorable moments in the series, without a doubt! “And what you wanted, which was for everyone to see what you see in him. That happened. Everyone sees it through your eyes now ... ” - How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see this? It's the world? Homeland had a sensible ending, closed all of Carrie's stories, while continuing the ongoing story of America's and Russia's rivalry. The series ends, but does not end, only better than that was seeing all these years incredible performances by Davis, Damian Lewis, Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin ...

Brody's story is tragic ... He was a Marine who was destroyed and rebuilt by the enemy to be defeated repeatedly. Pushed back and to another place. His loyalty was to whoever gave him the best chance to survive. He never had a chance. No one can judge you by the horrors you endured. And also the ones he caused. Having to live and observe the lives he destroyed around him took everything away from him. Carrie hoped to find redemption for him. Brody knew his destiny was to die. In her last moments, she made a point of being there. To witness this, its truth, its history when it finally came to an end. Saul agreed to kill Brody when they thought he had turned around again. After completing the mission, Saul fulfilled his promise and immediately organized the escape plan. Dar Adal and Senator Lockhart betrayed Saul and canceled the rescue plan because they wanted Brody to be found and executed so that Javadi was chosen to influence Iran's leadership. Furthermore, they thought the mission was too risky. And due to his history, he cannot be honored ... His story was so sad! He deserved better - Brody made a mistake.

3:06 'Homeland' Gave Dana Brody A Perfect Sendoff??? After weeks of so-so episodes filled with boring CIA plots and unbelievable character developments, Homeland finally gave viewers an installment worth caring about. "One Last Thing" episode of the show was wonderfully reminiscent of Season 1, with a lovably devious Saul, some great Carrie-Brody scenes, and plots that seemed just far-fetched enough to actually work. Plus, there was a workout montage that rivaled Rocky's. Now, by far, the best part of the episode came close to the end, when Brody convinced Carrie to let him see his daughter, Dana. It was only one scene, but the reunion was just as emotional, well-acted, and painful to watch - in short, everything Homeland does best. The scene begins with Brody knocking on Dana's door at the motel where she works and apparently lives. After taking a few seconds to comprehend the fact that her father, who she thought was on the run after blowing up the CIA, is standing at her door, Dana reluctantly lets him in. Relieved, Brody begins explaining how he didn't do the crimes the world thinks he committed, and Dana doesn't believe him, or she simply doesn't care. "Did you think ever for one second if I wanted to see you?" she says, crying heavily. "What did you want to hear? That you were a good dad? That despite everything that it's all okay? What do you want me to say? I will say it to you as long as you promise that I'll never have to see you again." Stunned and heartbroken, Brody doesn't respond, just walks out the door. He realizes his relationship with his daughter is irreparable, and, after learning earlier from Carrie that Dana had attempted suicide after the bombing, he knows that all the pain his daughter feels is entirely his fault. The whole scene is fantastic, with incredible performances from both Damian Lewis and Morgan Saylor. It's also an important scene, in regard to the character of Dana. For all of this season and a good portion of last, fans have hated on her for everything from her moodiness to her choice of boyfriends. It's the fault of the writers, who have saddled Dana with annoying, repetitive storylines, making the character (and the actress who plays her) Homeland's main target for criticism. Finally, Homeland gave Dana the redemption she deserves. "One Last Thing" episode saw her react to Brody's return with a realistic mix of emotion and rationality, proving that her character isn't some dumb kid who only cares about driving fast and kissing boy. In telling her father that she never wants to see him again, she isn't being bratty or rude, just honest; Brody has caused his family enormous pain, and Dana's experienced more than her share of trauma due to her father's actions. It's a brave, mature thing to say, and it's a big "take that" to Dana-haters who viewed the character as naive, immature, and unnecessary to the show. Scene was the last Homeland viewers will ever see of Dana Brody. There's no real need, with Brody shipped off to Iran and Jessica having coming to terms with her daughter's decision to leave home. "One Last Thing" episode was likely the end of Dana on the show, and as send-offs go, it was a pretty perfect one. It redeemed her character in many viewers' eyes, giving her the complexity and maturity that she demonstrated so likably back season one. It also emphasized Dana's importance on the show, which, in a season filled with joyrides and hospital stays, was something to be questioned. Dana is the only character with whom Brody connects in some ways more than anyone else, even Carrie. Her opinion of her father is the biggest factor in Brody's opinion of himself, and so by giving her a chance to tell Brody how she truly feels, Homeland gave Brody the opportunity to reevaluate his own life. He realizes that he has a duty to give Dana the distance she wants, and that he needs to focus on redeeming himself by helping the CIA in one last mission. So thank you, Homeland writers, for giving Dana such a fitting sendoff. She's a difficult character to love, yes, now last scene proved that she's so much more than some irritable teen saddled with unfortunate storylines. If this is the last we see of her, then it's the best exit we could ask for. And if the writers choose to bring Dana back down the road? Then let's hope they realize how good the show can be when they make Dana someone to root for, not someone to shower with hate. 'There are all these families that are the victims of somebody in the family doing an act of violence. Whether it’s Sandy Hook, whether it’s Columbine, the Boston Marathon bombers, these people all have families who suffer the consequences of these psychopathic actions,' show-runner Alex Ganza told New York Magazine. 'It was interesting to think about what would happen to the Brody family.' The decision to include the Brody family prominently at the star of the season - while leaving viewers in the dark about the whereabouts of their patriarch - was a conscious one for the creators. The Brodys have always been like the real killers of this entire saga, whether at the beginning when Nick was missing in Iraq, under the pressure of his repentance to hero status, and his subsequent fall from grace and disappearance. Their lives have been destroyed several times, and even though Brody is not really a terrorist, after all: a question that, to his credit, the writers of the Homeland have really managed to fail to answer for two whole seasons now, after all that he will never be needed innocent. This may end up being the central thesis of the Fatherland, the question of what makes someone a terrorist. Brody has been terrorizing his family for years, and could have avoided it at any time. Maybe he has his reasons, maybe not.

00:57 "Love never lets a person be the same. When love arises, all wisdom disappears." Pure truth. Carrie is a maniac? NOT... Because a part of her feels bad for the pain and torture he was put through. She recognizes the fact that he served his country dutifully until his capture, and that he really was subjected to inhumane treatment. He was subjected to it for years at a stretch. This is bound to leave even the strongest of men psychologically scarred for life. In Brody’s case he was broken and Abu Nazir took advantage of his psychological state and groomed him into a terrorist. Thankfully Brody did not blow up the suicide vest, and listened to his daughter, which highlights the fact that there is still some humanity left in him. It shows the audience that he’s not a cold-blooded killer but rather a misguided and emotionally damaged man who just needs to be brought back on the right path. Carrie sees this, and as a result feels sympathy for him. Brody: “This was love. You and me.” Carrie: “But it’s not goodbye.” Brody: “Okay” Carrie: “You don’t believe me?” Brody: “However it hurts the least.” Carrie: “Oh my God, why do I feel like this?” Brody: “Because you gave it up to me.” Carrie: “Completely.” Brody: “Goodbye love” Beautiful analysis on Brody :) He is not a terrorist.
