@sc information I saw them interviewed talking about this on tv . Their relaxed response to their childrens claims of gender identity was not only weak but very nonchalant. The Bible says 'Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.' This should have been nipped in the bud straight away. I have every sympathy with them but they have let the rot set in and it will be hard now to rectify. As regards supporting... they are kindly supporting their children to a lost eternity which is a shame.

It's sad and I can understand their situation, I have been through difficulties with my daughter, I told her straight what the bible says and had to regrettably cut her off, I told the Lord there's nothing more I could do and gave Him my problem. I love my daughter very much, but I was more concerned with the eternal rather than the temporal. Its been a hard couple of years but praise God she has turned Jesus and is gradually doing well. She said she realises now the dangers of turning away from God, this tough episode in her life has brought her back to Him. It was hard and very stressful for all of us. As I'm sure it has been for the Grants, but nobody can sort out another person's problems....only Jesus can, if you allow Him. I have and will pray for the Grants I have always admired them, which is why I was so shocked. Sometimes you just have to let go....and let God. Thanks for your replies God Bless.

@@upendasana7857Well a lot of the ideas we are seeing now come from Gender and Queer Theory from the hard left. This ideology is being celebrated and promoted in our society. While Gender Dysphoria is real, a lot of what we are seeing now is social contagion. I think it's also more than a coincidence that these progressive, Woke parents seem to have a disportionate number of transgender/non-binary children.

People on the autistic spectrum and those with mental health problems have always existed. Also the same applies for queer people, it’s relative to time, place & culture as there are still a number of countries where gay people are killed for being who they are so I think that’s a really ignorant thing to say. Why not use it as an apportioning to grow & learn instead of moaning about it because you don’t understand LGBTQ+ people? I’m straight but I really love the community and found a sense of belonging where I didn’t have that anywhere else.

Because... Job 9:24 (KJV) “The earth is given into the hand of the wicked.." And as a result... Romans 1:22-23 (KJV) "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man..." Showbiz is so much a symptom of the carnal world and is essentially incompatible with living in and for Christ. If you're heavily involved in showbiz then you're surrounding yourself with people who hate Jesus and all he stands for (hate in practice even if not in words). Heroin is very real but also works as an analogy of Satan's tactic. It's alluring and SEEMS to fill a hole...for a while. Then it enslaves and (often) destroys. "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I have come so that they have LIFE ("zoen" in Greek) and have it more abundantly" [spiritual abundance especially] - Jesus's words in John 10:10.

As someone who has looked after other people's kids for years, the number one issue is lack of presence. When parents are, more often than not, present and engaged in their kids (i.e looking at and listening to them giving them their FULL attention), especially aged 0 thru 5 (but also beyond, of course) it's VERY rare that serious issues occur. Reassurance is what children - especially small children - need. Cries for help and attention later don't tend to happen when they feel loved and assured. Of course there are always exceptions but exceptions prove the rule...

This situation is not a coincidence. It's social contagion. Many kids are choosing to label themselves. Genuine gender dysphoria is extremely rare. There is a very strong link between autism and identifying as transgender due to the hyper focus of the child.

This would apply to the type of parenting skills that were normal in the sixties (when I was young). which consisted of hitting the child until they shut up about mental health issues. Parenting skills have changed since then. I don't agree with David and Carrie, but I think they are reflecting the advice about parenting that they have been given, reflecting these times.

I am considered Neurodiverse and i am Autistic, and we have to be so careful here to not use identities or labels in the wrong way or incorrect labels in the first place, i do not think its right to promote about people on the autism spectrum /ADHD spectrum to be non binary , when its often a case of gender dysphoria, and they are still learning about themselves, this is very concerning. Also the media makes it too easy for people to use the non binary/transgender labels.

I don't understand why they are not conceiving a healthy middle ground between 'you are going to school/it will get better once you get there' and 'suppose you don't need to go to school' What about having a long and heartfelt talk about why they don't want it, and truly listen? Are they being bullied? Are they struggling to keep up? Might they need support due to learning diffifulties? Is a teacher causing them much grief? And then work on resolving whatever issues are there. I can't for the world of me understand why people who oppose authoritarian (imo bad) parenting do a complete 180 and let their kids run wild, it is nktndoing the child any favours whatsoever.

It is the world's concept of good and bad. This couple has done a great deal of helping children who have autism and down syndrome to experience a good and productive life. If you are actually calling mixed heritage children "mongrels" then you really do need to re-evaluate your approach to humanity. Just to remind you of some history - Hitler wasn't too fond of "mongrels" as you call them - and the concentration camps did their job. Didn't we fight WW2 for many reasons, including putting a stop to that way of evaluating humanity?
