Carrie Fisher was really something. She was funny as hell and smart, quite truthful... Honest until it hurt. I've always admired her and I'm awfully sorry she's gone so Young.. she had the luck though to be married to Paul Simon I couldn't think of anybody better. I hope she's in a great place right now laughing it up and at peace.
@@coramarquez6400 I don't think they have any kids together although Paul Simon had one from his first and a few with his present marriage. I believe Carrie had her own daughter with a different husband, not Paul.
@@coramarquez6400 yeah carrie was pregnant with his child and then miscarried unfortunately and he broke up with her as a result because of it; and then i heard apparently that he used to abuse her infront of his intellectual friends verbally
@@natteik6520someone answered you a year before you posted this, literally the first response shown here. Did you read any of the comments before asking this question?
Hearts and bones is the best song Paul ever wrote, the real killer lyric is “she says why can’t you love me for who I am where I am baby, he said cause that’s not the way the world is baby, this is how I love you baby” - foreboding as it was written well before they broke up
You can hear Carrie Fisher`s reply when I ask if she`s living with Paul Simon at sandrasheveyinterviews RU-vid. At the time Fisher was a lightweight. Her mother the Monster Debbie Reynolds took her in hand buoying self-esteem with the words `You are a Hollywood Princess. (and Sandra Shevey is just another writer)` I interviewed Fisher on the set of `Empire` which was directed by my godfather Irvin Kershner. I also have interviewed Paul Simon who also figures on the RU-vid Channel sandrasheveyinterviews. Paul and I discuss gender in film a course I had pioneered at Queens College, the university which he had attended.
I tried finding that video on RU-vid everywhere but can't seem to find it if you can, can you find it for me! Carrie fisher is my inspiration and i would appreciate it !! 😁
I don't know what to think about this show. I think, it's quite disrespectful to talk about a former lover in this particular way in front of an big audience. Simon himself never said anything bad about Carrie. He has written some songs about her, yes, but he has never attacked her like she did here. And to me "Hearts and Bones" is a very balanced song dealing with all of the bitterness on both sides.
You can find on YT a 2011 interview of Carrie for a Canadian radio where she talked about Paul. She was really respectful, funny and at last, it seemed that she was still in love with him... In her house, she kept a picture of their wedding on her piano...
I'm sorry but i don't get what you mean by talking about him "in this particular way" I cant find any part of this clip where anything the least bit disrespectful is said.
