Carrie Underwood sits down with Kelleigh Bannen to discuss her ninth studio album, ‘Denim & Rhinestones.’ Setting her intentions on creating a fun track list that takes her audience on an uplifting journey.
Carrie Underwood explains that many of the songs on the album exist within the same family rhythmically or thematically, she took care in designing a song sequence that created an emotional impact for the listener. Tracks like “Crazy Angels” and “Poor Everybody Else,” are intentionally threaded together to tell a story. Carrie explains that crafting this album was particularly exciting because she was able to embody dramatic characters that aren’t based on her personal life. This unique experience helped strengthen her skills as a songwriter and a performer.

Kelleigh, I appreciate you asking interesting questions beyond the personal ones that pop up so much on other shows and delve into Carrie’s creative process which is so much more exciting for fans. Carrie doesn’t get asked these things nearly as often as she should and doesn’t get as much attention for her creativity and musicianship.

Carrie Underwood and I have something in common we both like to write songs about fun topics it’s just that I like to write songs about being a villain more than anything else

Why does Carrie look soooo miserable in all her interviews? I swear ever since the plastic surgery disaster (or stair accident if she’s telling the truth), she has been a completely different person. I pray she is still faithful to Jesus

Any Carrie fan worth their salt knows that interviews have not been her thing. She doesn’t look miserable, interviews are just awkward for her due to her shyness. What gives you the right to question her sincerity with her accident? What reason would she have to lie about her accident? She literally explained what happened with her accident, there ARE pictures of her with her scar so it DID happen. Tell me,what reason would she have to lie about her accident and what would she even gain from lying about something so traumatic and serious for her?Does she look like the type of person that would ever need to lie about anything? If you had an accident on top of something personal as a miscarriage would you be the same person after all of that? You wouldn’t because it would make you question everything and question your own self worth. There is nothing innocent or kind about your comment,it’s just rude and offensive to even imply or say that. I just don’t get where you get off questioning her faith in God,I don’t see what that has to do with any of this.

That’s her personality. She’s shy and very even keel when it comes to things outside of being on stage. She’s always been like that.

@@ashleyolea8312 this isn’t shyness. She looks angry, irritable, deeply unhappy and doesn’t crack a smile or a laugh even one time

@@ashleyolea8312 I can vouch for that. She’s super shy offstage but onstage she is electric and bubbly. I think I remember her saying she’s extremely introverted in real life and that she’s a total homebody. She has always been like that.

She’s perfect even with her accident. I think the injections and Botox isn’t as bad as other celebrities because Carrie is a woman who likes and prides on being humble kind and natural. So I think it’s just being in the spot light it’s necessary to feel young. You know?? If she didn’t have injections or Botox people would still find a way to find something to nit pick on
