Another helpful CV video, im sure the community will thank you. (expect probably the surface ship players, just cus) Hopefully CV players will get better as a result, myself included. The RNG on bombers can be a ROYAL pain sometimes, even when ya line it up perfectly. Anyway, I think this is my general mindset when playing Carriers too, i'm just terrible at consistently executing it. In the games that last long enough for it to matter, its ALWAYS funny when i use myself as "shell bait" while what's left of my fleet kills whatever is silly enough to shoot at me, just sailing along side the battleships (generally the last ones standing) and just keep throwing planes while using Carrier AA to blap enemy planes. Id say the biggest step for CV player is realizing "oh yeah, my ship is the planes SPAWN POINT", so keep moving around you fleet (preferably the side that isn't dying) till most of the enemy is dead, then join them for AA support. Speaking of Midway, Unlocked it a few weeks back and went "HOLY CRAP! HOW MUCH FLAK?!" Then i remembered she is RINGED with 127mm cannons.
Thank you. Concise and easy to understand in one go. I may not be "new" player, but "inexperienced" I definitely am which is why I often succumb into the urge to get planes into the air as fast as possible which, more often than not, leads to pretty poor performance. Knowing the thought process of the planning before hitting the launch key is a great help. Thank you once again.
If you are not playing Soviet you can generally bait most CV's fighters. Ideally you want to wait at a distance while they are circling around the CV, once they face your direction close the gap with the CV, do your first strike, speed off. The fighter will be chasing you, you want to set a second drop (at water) you go invincible for a little bit shortly before the strike lands, and after it lands. Speed off again, for about 1-1.5 seconds, drop your fighter, return to ship, about at this point the CV's fighter will disengage due to distance. Your fighter will engage theirs as it's trying to return, and destroy it. This will give you a window to strike the enemy CV without their fighter, you can also just bait the enemy CV's fighter through the match to burn it's consumable.
In which vid are you going to explain why you use TTs? IMO the HVARs allow you to strike spotted DDs and other manueverable cruisers with far more ease, while TTs are only useful against BBs and even then HVAR can do similar damage if aimed at superstructure.
Rei: "The first part of the game is spotting" Nakhimov: "The first part of the game is spotting how many 20k-rocket-salvos you can push into their BBs and CLs before they start flaming you"
Whoo! I've been waiting for this video since your post on youtube when you asked us, the community, what we wanted for the next video. And you played Midway! Thank you for the video.
This is what I totally wanted for a long time. Nice job with the high quality video, but i assume hitting DDs with few CVs such as Hakuryu or Malta is very tricky, does your targeting determination against DDs work same with these CVs?
Malta is quite easy since the rockets are in between Audacious' stock and upgraded rocket reticle. Not as good as hers but still doable. Hakuryu I primarily focus heavier ships like cruisers and battleships and occasionally use torps for dds when they're in a crossfire. Trying to solo a DD as haku with rockets or torps is painful cuz of the long lead and arming distance. When in doubt, finding a DD and forcing it to be in a crossfire with your team is best choice. This is why divisioning with a DD hunter like smaland almost guarantees win on your flank
@Rei Yukihyo thanks for the comment, I have started this game just for the IOWA azur lane new jersey skin and CVs, and I find both very difficult, make me depressed lol win rate is below 40% :( makes me wanna quit this game but gonna keep trying grinding skills Thanks alot
Kaga taught me a lot of bad and basic knowledge about cv and when I finally managed to get to Midway, I am being punished for it. Thanks to your guides, I am slowly beginning to build upon the lessons from my Kaga and up my game! Btw, what is your Midway mod skin? It looks glorious!
