@Ketan Jadav because they never got any platform dumbfuck.....considering that they are calling Nirmala "Queen of carrom", except one or two shots, her shots were below average.
Bonjour Pierre! Thank you for posting video. I'm showing this video to my high school students to introduce them to the awesome game of Carrom in these tough pandemic times. I have been search the for 2 weeks for the result of this tournament and I think I can only ask you. Unfortunate, that you didn't get into the finals but Nirmala played an amazing game toward the end. Question: Who wins in the final of this tournament,Nirmala vs Kumari? Merci. Hope you are well in this pandemic. Lots of Love from Malaysia :)
Hi ! Nirmala won the tournament in finals against Rashmi. I used to share that final on the channel but I had some problems for some time so I changed that one to private.. I'm ok thanks, on the little island where I live it's not that hard to live in this situation. (Reunion island) Thanks for your words, all the best for your coaching with students !!
@@seyeah1 hello Pierre. Never let the Ear for negative comments Love from India , saw your world cup game 2020 there is a huge improvement Please motivate your youngsters too
This is the most commercialised carrom event ever 😆 1. Loud boisterous commentary 2. Distracting Lighting 3. Breaks for Consulting with coach in the middle of the game 4. Slomo replays 5. Players declaring what shot they're taking I need more
Pierre is extremely humble and that is the quality of a professional player who is confident in their skills. i admire your calm amd skills . i have also noticed your disappointment over negative comments; i would suggest that you let only the positive comments sink in. it's not in our hands who will comment negatively but we have complete control over our choice to accept what we want.
Kya bol rhe ho? Isse ache to hum bachpan mein hi khelte the. Game to aisa hona chahiye....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wfJ6rPr55d0.html
@@akhilvijendra2018 you are just stupid to think that there is a bold line at the back and those diagonal lines for nothing or only for decoration. You are just stupid.
You don't know the conditions we had...nobody could play his normal level in this tournament...it was really cold with A/C, we couldn't practice any board before on that painted board that was really slow, so no slams were scored...it was hard
Now you will say there are 10,000s out there who play better cricket than our Indian Cricket Team just beacsue they are under pressure doesn't mean you will do even better than them.
Bonjour Pierre, never seen or heard of this game before but this video was in my recommendations and I sure enjored it! Have you gone on to win a world championship since? Do you still play competitions?
@@RobJaskula bonjour ! This game is really interesting and requires lots of control and strategy to play at a high level. That particular tournament was a bit different from all the other ones we play, regarding the rules, the coins we had to announce, the points and so on. Since 2006, I have been 6 times Europe champion, 4 times runner-up, and we came 2 times 3rd in team event in international tournaments with the french team. In singles in worldcups, I came once 8th in the main event, and once 5th in the mixed open called Swiss system. I had nice successes against top Indian, SriLankan, Bangladeshi, Maldivian players who are definitely the top 4 best countries in carrom. I never reached a semi-final yet in such tournaments, and I know it will be tough, those players are professionals and paid to perform, it's not my case. And recently the french federation decided that I won't be part of the french team anymore, because I live in an outside department in Reunion island, so I can't be ranked with all the tournaments in France. I hope you'll have a chance to discover this game one day, it's really a great game 🤗
"Back Thumb Shot" rule , loses all competitiveness. It makes it easy. We all play without that shot, just imagining what if normal people get CHANCE TO PLAY. just kddng. (No disrespect in-regards of players in video) :)
Hi,please just go and witness your best Indian players in district or national tournaments and you will see how rich and interesting it is also to play with this rule, created by India in 1988. Please don't judge and try playing carrom board this way. For me it opens the possibilities, and prevents from unfair tactics with the traditional rules when you could just push the opponents coins behind his line...
@@seyeah1 yeah bro I understand.. but lots of love and good luck for u... It's all about luck that went with her... hope u doing well.. I saw this video to learn and I guess it will take a lot of time for me to be so professional 😂
Hi, that was an advice from Sir Arun Deshpande when i went for coaching in Thane in 2007. I agree with the fact that with the index finger grip, more fingers can touch the board and hold the striker in a way that the grip is more stable and mechanic than with the middle finger grip, where usually only two fingers are doing the job...and with the middle finger grip, a natural spin is there, that you don't have with the index finger. Also at that time i was having little trouble with force, playing strangely too slow sometimes for easy shots, so he adviced me to change. And i was holding the striker the same way while aiming so it was not a big trouble to shift.
+Inderjeet Bhatia Hello, The games were played in 4 boards only, the queen value was 3, 4 or 5 points depending on the fact it was confirmed from the 1 to 3rd coin, 4 to 6 and 7 to 9. The queen was counting for the player who had pocketed it even if he was loosing the board. And there was one power play per play, a kind of joker who permitted to double the points to the player who was using it while wining that board . you can also see the details in the beginning of the first video i posted from this ESPN tournament : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cC0MjgnDzKk.html
+Carrom Pierre Thanks Mr. Pierre for sharing the details. I liked the format very much. Is there any planning to change the points system as well as digital boards and coin-set used here in ESPN tournament for the forthcoming matches as well?
