Why didn't all of the other Christians share their cross? Selfish, holier than thou hypocrites! I thought Christianity was all about love, sharing, helping each other out, good Samaritan, love thy neighbour, Do unto others.. etc. I've always wondered why Christians, especially in the US, tend to be right wing... It makes no sense at all. It is so hypocritical. This is just another example, although I'm sure they don't see the irony.

The point of the story is that no one can carry your cross for you you can only carry it and you will need it to cross that Chasm one day

@Nilguiri isn't it amazing how many christians think they've got it figured out? LOL I'm a christian too, but I'm also a sinner & my knowledge is full of errors. Now if I knew which beliefs were wrong, then I'd change them. That's why I listen & try to learn. Some christians however, think they've found the secret truth, etc... how sad

You know,(o boy) , that the cross is the only way to go through river of death FINALLY to heaven? Do you know, with which price each carry the cross? You know, that all people is responsible to be built as Ekklesia, but also to live exemplarily before LORD HIMSELF? Kingdom of heaven, when it completely comes to earth, is about the justice of the Lord. Every person that dont want to carry their cross will cry at the end before Lord, there of course no one can help him anymore. .

But you're missing the most interesting part of the story...where Jesus helps him across, since even a life of good choices is not enough to get you in to heaven, and the Good News is that God forgives.

The point of the story is no one can carry your cross for you. It's like trying to describe how rain feels on your skin I can describe it all I want but you'll never learn until you get out there and feel it for yourself

@Lightmane321 The only way we have a chance of finding out the "truth" is by looking at evidence. I can see absolutely no evidence of the existence of a "god", however, I do see, time and time again, so-called religious people denying all the evidence in favour of "faith" and dogma. Faith is to believe in something despite all of the evidence to the contrary. As our knowledge increases and we learn more about the universe, this dogma has been exposed to show that it has no basis in reality. ;)
