Yes...the gameplay commentary is still a thing. Not as big as it used to be but it's still there. The viewership is very low for those videos now. So, instread they are livestreaming it. Mostly on twitch but it's also on youtube.
So here is the thing. Carry do gaming stuff at initial days and the channel name was CarryDeol(as he carry his teammates to win and deol because he mimics Sunny Deol in commentary) then he decided to do roasting but he has to look into his audience's interest too. So he introduced this format. Gameplay+roasting.so it was started by him 🔥

This was a great video guys. I am happy that you guys could genuinely enjoy this video. Carry definitely has videos like this where he is just having a conversation about something in a more funny way instead of it being a more traditional rant. Something you guys said at the start of the video and I agree is that you don't see a lot of talking over gameplay roasts anymore. (Well at least I don't). Most people just go with the face cam. But for carry, that was his thing for the longest time. So it's like a nice callback when he does this style. Also, Yeah....I will contact him for you (Even though I don't know how to, but it's the thought that counts) 🤣

I'll contact him for you. :) People who started reacting to Carry after he revealed himself don't realise there was entire mystery and intrigue surrounding him. People didn't know he was Ajay Negar and how he looked, we only knew him thru his signature gaming player mode persona! And while I agree with Jaby about loving his expressions and reactions, there was a different fun in that.
@@Ravzzy True. Most people are not aware how global the brand is. Bata wins because it uses cheap Indian labour to keep the prices "Indian". I live in Germany and I can assure you Bata shoes are NOT cheap here. In fact, people are genuinely surprised when I tell them a pair of Bata slippers can be bought for value of €2 in India. But I'm also concerned/embarrassed I believed it was an Italian brand all this time. 😭
To answer your question, I think the game play commentary trend was popularised by Leafy around 2016, and after his channel's demise the trend too has died down. But some youtubers still do it..like dieselpatches
there's a youtuber named theRadBrad who does gameplays with commentary, and has been doing so for the past 10 years, really genuine and humble guy, he makes the gameplay more fun and enjoyable to watch!
If we comment this on carry's recent videos we would be tagged as haters. But yeah quality of carry's videos is degrading day by day. I think he isn't much interested in making roasting/rant videos. Nowadays he is busy in advertising products and yeah I understand that he needs to earn money to sustain his business but punctuality is must for every person whether you are famous or not. And now he'll be casted in a movie so may be he'll be separating making quality videos on a regular basis from his life.
But it's a responsibility now more than 26 million subs.If he says something wrong some will blindly accept it without thinking. So he can't say anything he has to thing think before saying anything.
@@deepeshkumarpandey1248 that's why he is still silent on the videos made on him of him being unfunny etc. He cleared in one of his Instagram live session that he knows about all the videos made on him. He didn't replied to them as he said that he can be misinterpreted which will increase toxicity in internet. But still there is a need to work on the scripts of his videos. He is somewhat feeling restricted in this platform.
