Another tip...you can ask a cast member for what time the “lighting ceremony” starts. This is when they turn on the neon lights, play the “life is but a dream” song from the movie and cast members dance in the the street! Truly a memorable experience for Cars fans!
The BEST time to be in Cars land is at night. The neon signs lit up, ornament valley looks spectacular. So, Go first thing, get your Radiator Springs Racers fast pass then wait until later in the evening to do everything else.
I am a new subscriber, and I love your videos! I love Disney, but I am legally blind so I miss a lot of stuff in the parks. I love watching your videos because they are really descriptive and you point out a lot of things that I would’ve never seen. So thank you for these!
Small Request: Since you're Provost Park Pass, not necessarily just Disney, can you please visit Jurassic Park before the Park is closed and the Jurassic World turns.
I had the chance to eat at the cozy cone. I recommend the chili cone carne and quite frankly I think its alot better than eating at one of the sit down restaurants. I loved cars land it's my favorite land hands down at California adventure.
True story. Went here way before I saw any of the cars movies or shorts. I enjoyed it. Then I watched the original films and the whole time I was like “holy crap I was THERE!” Now that I finally saw the Planes movies I’m curious if they added planes references
What a lot of people don't know is that the inspiration for the cone hotel is the "Sleep in a TeePee" hotel in Holbrook, Arizona that is just off route 66 (now I-40). That teepee hotel is still there and still in business.
stumbled across your channel recently and i've been watching all of your videos!!! i love disneyland/california adventure so much and your content is amazing! thank you for sharing this with your viewers! :)
I went to Disneyland and DCA in September 2019 and Carsland was my absolute favorite part! I’m a big Cars fan and the Radiator Springs Racers was my favorite ride there. I go a churro at the Cozy Cone. I did not get to see the lights at night tho, I really wish I could have. Maybe next time.
Cars Land is the part of the Disney Parks that I most enjoy. As a Boomer, I could easily sit for hours listening to the music that is piped into the street. When my children were young, we couldn't afford to travel and certainly not to Disneyland. As adults, my kids are making up for lost time, visiting the parks as often as they can. And Chris, your Secrets Revealed videos add so much to the experience. Thanks for your positivity and infectious enthusiasm. Happy New Year!
This was such a cool video! Learning all of the cool knowledge tidbits was super fun, and I loved the energy that you have with your videos. Great editing too!
Did you know the imagineers who worked on cars land actually went on a trip down Route 66 whole designing the land? Also, when designing flo’s cafe, they needed more room for behind the scenes stuff, so they made a little garage off to the right so they have more room. And in cars 2, Pixar actually put that garage in the movie!
We absolutely love Cars Land it's magical especially at dusk when all the neon kicks in. I never even noticed the car tails sculpted into the Rock formation, top bit of info Chris. Good to see the short sleeves m8 Great vid as always 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
I just found your channel today and watched the DL Hotel video and this one. Enjoyed them both and subscribed to your channel! Made my 1st trip to DL in February and can't wait to go back. Question: Did you say that both the vehicles at Lugi's and Radiator Springs cost 1/4 million each?
Luigi's dancing cars are my favorite! If you go at night it is the BEST! Thanks for covering a land that really has much more to it than meets the common eye!
OH MY GOSH!!! I never went to the right on the cars ride through the paint shop. How crazy is that?!!! I wish I had half the energy you have. You make going to Disneyland SO much more fun. I never stopped long enough to look at all the memorabilia like you do. WHAT WAS I DOING? I missed so much! You are such a wealth of Disney Trivia knowledge. I look so forward to Wednesdays now!!! See you next week. Thanks for the memories.
Hey Chris- my 17 year old son and I met you last summer outside Indiana Jones after completing Route 66. He has autism and I thanked you for explaining the newest version of the disability pass with Professor Andrew. Here’s our idea: can you do a video comparing and contrasting Cars/Carsland with the real Route 66. For instance, I had no idea why the Radiator Springs Racers reference caves at the end until I drove the 2450 miles 😊. Thank you for everything you do.
I've never seen the Toy Story secret... Disney always amazes me! Also you said to rewatch the video to see how many times you changed you glasses. What a cleaver way to get double watch time!
I’ve looked at that mountain range and never realized they were Cadillac tail fins! Very cool! The sun-down light up is always incredible... cast members are usually able to let you know the exact time
Cars Land is my favorite as well and home to my favorite hidden Mickey. Near Stanley if you look up and to the left there is a Mickey in the telephone wire loops.
I loveee this, and all of your videos tbh. Btw, that isn’t the only trackless ride in America, there’s also the Antarctica penguin ride at sea world! Anyway, love your content man.
As always thank you so much for all the informative videos you put out there. Hoping I get a chance to say hi if ever you were vlogging on a day I was there👍
Chris - I am a new subscriber and love watching your videos. You really do an awesome job! I got to visit Carsland in 2013. Do you know why they changed Luigi's' Flying Tires to the newer ride Luigi's Rollickin roadsters?
I haven't seen Cars Land yet! Last time I was in DCA was when they were still building the mountain for Cars Land! I'm going in August and my husband and I are taking our little guy for his first birthday!! Thank you so much for all of your Secrets Revealed videos! My trip is now turning into a scavenger hunt!!! hahaha
There aren't very many videos on RU-vid of little ones under 2 years old in DCA so I'm trying to figure out which rides my little guy can go on in DCA :)
Provost Park Pass We are back for our second family trip to Disneyland and bringing my wife's parents for their first overseas trip. So the first thing we are excited to do is the walk down mainstreet to the castle, so beautiful. Would be cool to meet you if you are there at the time.
I wished you talked about Cadillac Ranch more, it's such a cool art piece. I love your videos, they make me think I need to start saving for another trip
Hey Chris, we love your videos. Has anyone else ever brought up the fact that they misspelled the word ‘fettuccine’ in Luigi’s Rollikin’ Roadsters? As a full blooded Italian and a huge Disneyphile, it amazes me that nobody caught that mistake!
Yup. You’d think there’d be one person who would’ve corrected them. Lol. I’m sure you know someone there that would like to have it brought to their attention.
The other silly thing that has bothered me since its inception of the holiday overlay at Haunted Mansion is upon entering the seance room, the narrator says: “Jack’s holiday vision was unlike no other...”. Since there’s a double negative, that statement contradicts its intended meaning. I can’t believe nobody caught that!!! I actually mentioned it at City Hall to no avail. Lol
Thanks for all the tips. 25% of it is new information I learned from you. That’s because, when the resort was open, I would visit on average 5 days a week 4 hours per visit. (Smiling) - Like how you added that Mickey sticker to your shirt.
Great video! I counted 3 different pairs of glasses, I didn't start noticing until half way through the video. So, just how many pairs did you wear during this video? :)
I really enjoy your videos! I recently went to Disneyland and DCA to see the Halloween decorations and the Main Street Electrical Parade. I am posting a video of the Halloween decorations at Disneyland and DCA tonight. Keep up the great videos. I recently subscribed as well.
My like was 420 (dab) I love all your videos don’t stop I watch all of them. Ps are you an annual passholder because I am and I would love to see you in the parks
Hey Chris great Video! This video is so great because I have never seen a Cars land secrets video! Keep up the great work and have fun doing it! Looking forward to next Wednesday when u upload again!!🎆🎢🎡🎠🏰🏔🏜
I just found your channel and I am in love with your videos!! Gives me memories of when I used to go 😅 Anyways I love your enthusiasm!! Keep up the great work!
You always do a fantastic job with your videos. Most of all I love your enthusiasm and energy for what you do. Love your humor too. I learned much from today's video. For one thing, I had no idea about the different Cadillac tail fins being from different model years. That's very cool to know. I read that Disney is forbidden to officially refer to the Cars Land mountain range as "Cadillac Range" for legal reasons because they couldn't come to an agreement of terms with General Motors on the use of the phrase even though it's mentioned as "Cadillac Range" in the movies. Of course you and I can refer to it as "Cadillac Range". Keep up the great work!
I remember being there for the cast preview, and then opening day when they reopened the park with Buena Vista St and Cars Land. That was definitely one of the worst days I had to be there. Also as a little tidbit for ya, Luigi's Flying Tires used to have giant beach balls for the first few weeks. Then due to low attendance and constant 101. They closed it off and began working on the new Luigi's Rockin Roadsters. Never got a cast preview for that one.
New subscriber and what's cool to me is the Cadillac Ranch Mountain is based off of Cadillac ranch here in Texas that has 6 or so Cadillacs nose first in the ground that you can go and spray paint so they have huge layers of different colors of paint and I actually got to go this past summer on our way out to Cali to go to Disney among other places
When I first stepped foot into Cars Land, I felt like I was in the movie. You forgot about DJ, the car character that plays music. I've seen him in a music show in Cars Land before and the show was awesome.
I think CarsLand is one of the most immersive thematic areas in the parks. With the exception of the floor plan for Sarge’s hut, it is Radiator Springs come to life!!
ive ridden the racers 2 times (when i went there) 1 in the day and one at.... you guessed it! NIGHT! it was so pretty and a awesome experiance to ride that at night. it's one of my most favorite rides. the other is sorin' around the world. :)
*I've been Disneyland before but I have never been to DCA and the very thing I've always wanted to ride since i was was probably 10 or 11 was Radiator Springs Racers* *Who knows maybe next year by the time I'm 20 I'll be there* ..
