Same deck different publishers. This video compares two Carte Fine Dalla Torre decks from Bologna, a handmade facsimile deck by Marco Benedetti and the other, created by the Museo Internazionale del Tarocchi.
I checked and there is only one known original deck which is in the National Library in Paris. I do not its original size. The only original cards which are missing were the 6-9 of Swords and the two queens I discussed during the video.
The 2-5 of each suit was created by both publishers since the original deck is an abbreviated tarocchino.

I believe that Marco should give you a percentage of what he made from his cards! I have bought all of his decks because of you.😜

Wow, that's really awesome to know. Giordano's decks are wonderful aren't they? I wonder if anyone has told Giordano that they buy his decks because they watched my videos? I think it's a nice gesture when tarot people endorse other tarot people. I think it helps legitimize our profession. Thank you for watching and commenting. xoxo ~ Marilyn

This was a really interesting side by side comparison. I have the museum copy, which was a later run than yours. The run was 500 decks. Thanks for another really interesting historical deck video!

Hello! After I created this video, I did an online search to see if the museum deck was still available, and I saw that they did a later run of 500, which must be the deck you have. I believe the cards are identical, perhaps you didn't get the wooden box though? I think it is a beautiful deck, but it is not without its critics. I appreciate both facsimile decks and restoration decks. They both bring something to the tarot table. I have both when both are available. As always, thank you for being here. 😊~ Marilyn

Dear Marilyn, thank you very much! I can only afford the museum copy. I wonder if I will be able to shuffle it comfortably... they are so large and elongated...

Hello! That is true, they are elongated in the Bolognese tradition. When I shuffle these cards, I do it in the overhand style. They are both lovely decks. Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn

Love italian decks, I wish there will be more printings affordable 😢

I understand. These very fine quality decks cost a few dollars. They are often handmade and time consuming to make. They are wonderful though. The Italian decks are the best I think. Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn

I think it's nice to have both too. I will use Marco's deck more frequently, but I like them both.

The statement about the African Moors

@MarilynFromTarotClarity 2 года назад
Hello. There are no Moors in these decks. The 4 Moors were not included in Bolognese decks until 1725. These decks date to mid 1600s. Thank you for watching.

@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Wrong video I watched Tarocco Bolognese Carte Fine Al Mondo and brief yes/no readings. Feb. 12, 2022.We have a long way to go in the Tarot World. We should never make up historical excuses for bad Behavior.

Hi Marilyn. How much does the Marco Benedetti Fine Dalla Torre cost? I didn't catch it if you mentioned it in your video.

Hi. Marco lists all his available decks and their cost along with shipping on his fb page. His name is listed as Marco Cesare Benedetti. Please tell him where you saw his decks. I think he appreciates knowing where his referrals come from. ~ Marilyn

@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Hi again. I was wondering which version of Marco’s deck do you find easier to shuffle and read with, this Dalla Tore version or the version which has folded over borders and different card stock? Marco’s Mitelli which has the folded over borders, which you showed in another video, would you recommend Dalla Tore with same folded over borders or the Dalla Tore version which you showed in this video?

@seraphinajadeite All of Marco's available decks and their prices are listed on his fb page. He is listed as Marco Cesare Benedetti on fb. Ask him about the available cardstock, they might be different than what I have. (He may have changed cardstock by now. Some of my decks are several years old. ) Marco is very quick to respond. It is best to get the information from him. But I can tell you that his recent cardstock is the best I've ever encountered.

@@MarilynFromTarotClarity yes, I will ask Marco about availability and prices, thank you. My question to you is, do you find Marco’s folded over border style deck , for example the Mitelli (which you showed in another video) easier to shuffle and handle or would you say his decks without the folded over borders are easier to shuffle, like the Dalla Tore you have shown in this vid? In other words, which do you prefer and why?
@MarilynFromTarotClarity
@MarilynFromTarotClarity 4 месяца назад
@seraphinajadeite This of course, comes down to personal preference. The Mitelli is probably my most treasured deck. I know the wrapped around borders are painstaking to make and authentic. They shuffle beautifully, but I am anxious about them to be honest. I fear they will come unglued after a dozen years, or snag somehow. However, I think Marco would laugh at my concern and assure me that is the point of the folds; to add longevity to the deck. The Carte Fine Dalla Torre is rather narrow in shape and since this deck is also a petite size, it's actually harder to shuffle because of that. If it were a wider deck I think it would be easier to shuffle, or if it were wrapped as the Mitelli is, it would riffle shuffle more easily. The Mitelli is a very nice riffle shuffle experience. The Dalla Torre I most definitely over hand shuffle. I enjoy a good riffle shuffle, so I think in these two examples, I prefer the Mitelli.
