Looks to have all the gear, I'd be interested to see how hot it gets in the cab. After spending this last summer at 38c being slow roasted in my 2.6 (Chinese built) I will rethink having a cab on a mini.
Having seen the Chinese offerings at plant shows, I dont think they are far off the main brands in terms of the chassis build and how they drive, but cab quality lets them down. And as they dont have an established brand name yet, the resale of these is going to be poor. With the prices not far off what you could buy a Kubota or equivalent for, I just cant justify trying one. If it was a good clear £5k cheaper then it would be worth a punt for sure.
All fair points there, these are $3k nzd cheaper than the kubota equivalent, however these do have a few more extras as standard e.g an enclosed cab with heater, thumb, hydraulic quick hitch (kubota setup comes with manual drawpin) so I guess it really comes down to customer preference
Hey mate, could you please give us an update on how this machine is holding up? How many hrs have you done. What repair work have you done on the machine? Whats aftersales services like? Would you buy one again? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
She’s a good simple rig mate, simple machine so not alot to go wrong on them and good on the winter days with the heater. If you’re in NZ then backup is great, Derek looks after his clients well and has alot of these machines around NZ
@@NZDIRT you can get a Arnor 2ton excavator for $27k NZD. with a Kubota Engine in it.. if I was gonna spend 38 to 40k Id just buy a second hand jap brand digger and id be going for bit larger 4-5 ton machine...
Ud have to hire a late model yanmar and do a side by side dig comparison I reakon mate, biggest disappointment is the non zero swing and we all know why we hire a 1.8 tonne and its not to dig out in the open lol I would never buy one with a bum. Do they make them zero swing? Handy with the thumb tho.
@@NZDIRT I guess a cab is nice but that size machine ur in and out so much its almost a waste having it. Nice having a heater tho, I'm all about the heating lol, yeah China do crap quality, good quality and really good quality, kiwis just don't trying new things eh they stick to what they know so hard to break into that market probably 🤔
Hard to say, theres older model carters still going strong so quite possibly, the benefits being easy to work on, no need for a computer technician to fix it
