Bill Payne is a local legend in north Georgia, running a guide service and participating in the local tournament scene from time to time. His vast knowledge of Carters Lake and Lake Allatoona is extensive and he can definitely explain how to catch bass. This is episode is informational based but Bill also shares some of the most emotional content we've seen. A top shelf podcast episode for anglers everywhere.
We appreciate you taking the time to watch. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to do this and we are grateful for all the support. Danny&Josh

This is the greatest podcast episode I have ever listened to. As someone who has fished Allatoona & Weiss my whole life, this was just wonderful to listen to. Incredible knowledge. And I was just at the Dugout today buying line & spinnerbaits!!!!

This is a great show. I don’t live or fish in the area, but I do fish a ton of highland clear water lakes like Table Rock, Beaver, etc. Same stuff works here in the Ozarks. That episode that Bill shared his knowledge on spinnerbaits. Applied it to Beaver and it worked great. Not something they see too often.

Great show. Subscribed awhile back because of the guests you have. In middle Tennessee so some of the information helps. Like hearing the older guys like Mr. Payne and Mr. Dryscall. The young guys are great too. Look forward to Thursdays. You are right. The last five minutes of this show was the best. Prayers for Mr. Payne. Keep up the good work.

Walleye in carters always seem to like to get right around the edges of that timber line and eat the ElWhy(Alewife) that stay down deeper. You could target them the same way you would striper, but you’d probably have a lot more fun targeting striper and just take the walleye as they come to you. Walleye fight about like reeling in a wet sock though. So I’m not sure what the fun of catching them is outside of the old release into the grease method. That’s where those fish really are exceptional. They are delicious.
