Cartier is a wonderful brand. Not enough loved by a big part of the watch community and often criticized as not being a real watchmaker. That part of the community should acknowledge that Cartier has a large manufacture in La Chaux de Fonds, had Carole Forestier as head of watchmaking, since 1904 Cartier has created iconic pieces that influenced the world of watches. What would have been that watch world without Cartier? And just FYI, here are some watch connoisseurs that love Cartier: John Goldberger, George Cramer, Roni Madhvani, Eric Ku,... and Wei Koh.

I love Cartier , their history, and everything they have stored in their archives. They never cease to surprise with homages and or reissues.

I feel cartier are underappreciated as a watchmaker... but I also feel they have more potential and are holding back a bit. They need to go at it a bit more

Great and insightful interview. The new products are very nice too. I am eyeing these entry level pieces closely.

Very interesting formula of success so flexable so well realizing what the customer want's and giving it to them an incredible blend what's new, what's old, what's classic. Extremely far reaching business philosophy. The way to go for sure.

Why quartz on Le Must small and large size models. XL automatic too large on my wrist.

because the watch impresses with its nimbus, not the movement. A Tank is a Tank is a Tank...:)

It’s about the price point. If you want a smaller tank with an automatic movement, buy a Tank Louis in gold.

Timeless style is how I view Cartier. Just picked up my first Cartier; a Tank Must. Great interview Wei. Mr. Vigneron’s thought provoking answers to your pointed question just demonstrates the Cartier CEO is the best brand ambassador. He certainly is leading the Maison into the future by building upon their heritage. Cheers

Coming back here almost a year later to point out that Cyrille's confidence that Cartier can retake the #2 watchmaking market share spot pretty quickly was well founded! They just took it back according to the reports of last year!

11:50 "Too perishable", part of the reasons why i don't want a Apple Watch, but de Must is gone to the top of the list.

I've always had omega and rolex sports watches,divers inparticular. I can't even swim lol,but as I've got older now coming up to 53 I'm after a dress watch im done with big watches,I love the new solar large tank must and that's what I'm going to have,It's absolutely beautiful.

I agree with you as well. I’m about your age and seldom wear my bigger/thicker watches anymore. Which is sad knowing my Rolex Yachtmaster, Submariner, Omega Planet Ocean, etc just sit in a watch box and I’m always wearing my Cartier Santos or JLC pieces

Any idea around water resistant on SolarBeat Tank Must?
@CogMarks
@CogMarks 3 года назад
It’s to 30 m, meaning that a little splash while washing hands or a little perspiration on a hot day shouldn’t ruin it. The Tanks do not have screw-down crowns.

Does the tank must have the easy bracelet exchange mechanism?
