The beveling has to be my favourite step, it just gives that little extra special detail to the lenses (and therefore the frames) because you just don’t see it very often

Oh Robert you're killing me. Loving the shape of the lens in orange. I wonder if rimless glasses would suit me, since it is generally agreed that I do not look good without glasses (and therefore, I assume that perhaps the contrast of the frames play at least some part in this). We'll speak more to that point further down the line over e-mail, but I thought I'd ask here so you have the opportunity to share some insight on this to your viewers.
I appreciate Robert for explaining everything I need to know in this video. I have a pair of Cartier Sunglasses and planning on purchasing a pair for eyeglasses and determining what pair would be perfect and then putting prescription lenses on them is challenging. I have a beautiful pair of Cartier glasses that I customized. And I did all the bells and whistles, but they are still very classy. I also opted for the lens cuts and my name engraved on the lens LOL

Berlin or Porsche design ? If anyone else can advise me based on his personal experience, I'll be grateful!
Rimless glasses - usually more lightweight, more subtle, less durable *usually* I'm involved in the launch of SL 3, not allowed to speak about it though 🤐 It depends on the style, some ICB are better than most PD, some PD are better than most ICB. I could advise you on specific styles during a consultation

Hi Robert. Could prescription lenses be made with Zeiss treatments that eventually look just like sunglasses? I mean, when exposed to the sun will they be without residual green/blue reflection on their surface, just plain black (but also with AR, UV and Blue Light protection)? When clear, they can be reflective, no problem, but not when exposed to sunlight. Does Gradient, Tint Gray 12% or 25% + PhotoFusion X Extra Gray and possibly which DuraVision (Platinum or Sun) work in order not to reflect the eyes on the back surface of the lenses? I have something with green residue on the back + Siver Mirror front, but when are exposed to light, în the top/side light the eyes are mirrored plus a lot of reflections and streaks of light... which is very annoying unfortunately. Can be made of Crown Glass or Plastic CR-39? Thanks in advance for your help, keep it up. With all my respect for your work, Luss.
The silver mirror is likely causing internal reflections. DuraVision Sun is probably your best bet, but with any anti-reflective treatment there will be a slight reflex colour
Hello Great videos. Recently started watching your you tube channel. I just bought a pair of aviator Cartier sunglasses. Is there a possibility to change the color of the lens? Do you know how many millimeters long the bar that holds the nose pads are? Not the bridge but the metal that holds the nose pads. Also how long the screw is that goes through the lens from the bridge?

Are Ted Baker glasses an ok quality. I can’t afford Cartier 😪. Just wondering what company makes Ted Baker ones and if they are on budget ones. I’ve tried on hundreds of frames but there is only one pair that look ok on me they are Ted Baker 😬
FWIW I wore a Ted Baker frame for a couple of years. Quality was pretty poor, but they were cheap and like you I liked the style. But styles change and I'm sure you'll find other designs that suit you, even if you didn't think so before.

Probably worth specifying if that's gold the material or gold the colour. If it's for religious reasons then might be worth considering the reason behind such a rule, maybe it's considered not good to wear precious metals for instance, in which case gold and platinum are the same in such a context. Wood or horn would then be better choices, which is ironic because those are more expensive

Probably best not to get too carried away when having your glasses customized, especially if it's your primary (or only) pair. While it is nice to have a pair with an outlandish tint, shape or loads of fancy detailing, you will need your primary or only glasses to be relatively conservative so you can wear them in an office and similar environments where the outlandish glasses would be out of place and unprofessional. What is a conservative pair of glasses? It's one where the frames are conventional in shape, style and colour, with clear lenses (particularly inside, though if the tint is a light gray, brown or yellow tint and you have a light sensitivity condition, that's an exception to the clear lens requirement indoors), or grey or brown in the case of sunglasses. Most of the glasses in this video do not meet the conservative ''office'' standard, they are more for parties or vacationing.
This is the 2nd time I’ve noticed this. You’re talking about customization. Not Cartier. These design details have nothing more to do with Cartier than they do with any lens or frame. It’s not as though we can only tint Cartier lenses. Your presentation is misleading.
I love your videos. But your sound is the worst with all the reverb. Why don't you use your microphone anymore? I understand that this channel is mostly about visual things. But better audio would definitely improve everything.
I appreciate your feedback. I try to produce the best audio possible, but our studio is pretty big and therefore quite echoey. I found the mic caused a lot of problems. Let me think about what will be the solution
