I was born in 1997 so I had barley anytime to understand and appreciate old show as their VHS tapes were pulled soon after my birth so I could never experience these old cartoons. I would love it if they released all these cartoons on DVD and Blu-Ray, so me and the rest of us who grew up in the "Crappy" genrations of cartoons can experience these rare gems in there true glory!
The only reason this show was canned so early, was because the toys weren't selling that well. So when you called this show a toy catalogue, you were definatly right,Kwing.
This stuff is part of my Jokes and creative process. Im Media I use whatever I can to inspire me. Other game related people on TGS have been doing Movie reviews for years. Im doing classic toons.
The reason that this show was canceled was because the was too much awesomeness for anything but chuck to handle and any writers, editors, or people who watched the show were vaporized shortly after being exposed to anything that was related chuck Norris.
Chuck: "You know, there are people in the world who think that violence is the answer to every problem...." How does this description not apply to Norris?
MLP is very much an 80s-90s type of show in disguise. I can't quite explain it, but it's got the charm of innocence being overtaken by very charming conflicts that really draw you in. I never really felt like it's designed for little kids at all. Maybe the art style seems a little kiddy and "flashy", but not so innocent once you get into it. Chuck Norris memes are all coming back to me now after seeing some of the show's scenes here. Give me a Chuck Norris-like pony any day!
top stuff, I really enjoy this series of vids. I never watched this one as a kid, but I did watch the Rambo cartoon which I was a big fan off, in fact I still have my cartoon Rambo mug.
Thanks very much, glad you were entertained! Yeah I agree they should do more morality based stories in Cartoons today. Because if the Parents or Teachers won't tell kids the difference between right and wrong. Then atleast Cartoons can ya know.
Nick got a job with a game publisher, my Journalist career got bigger. The Podcast on the server have been removed though and Nick or I don't have the originals anymore. I miss the Podcast too, but with Nicks baby Girl and our different Jobs...I don't see it returning anytime soon. But GK lives on in various GK Tv incarnations.
This sounds hilarious. I saw parts of episodes on Cartoon Network once. (They seemed to air a few "nostalgia" cartoons at night at one point in time. Granted, the cartoons were before my time, so...) In any case, though, watching this documentary of sorts just made me laugh quite a bit. It also made me wonder: "How the heck were they able to get away with all that crap?" (referring to all of the stealing you mentioned.)
I haven't counted how many times his name is said in each episode though. But yeah watchers incase you forgot, your watching Chuck Norris, which features Chuck Norris, fighting Ninjas the way only Chuck Norris can....XD
Well Dodger is a good friend and fan of Cartoons. She is going to go nutz when I do Freakazoid! Yeah I will be covering mainly 80's toons though, because I didn't really get into Cartoons after Freakazoid. I was deep into Anime by that point. Though I still watch some toons today. But yeah in terms of animation, art, voice acting and story telling the 80's cartoons were unlike anything that came before or after. No worries about spelling errors friend.
This show was a bad example for morality, actually it showed what relativism is. Still most shows in the 80s didn't have PSA's only He-Man, Gi Joe really did. The other shows structured the story telling around that concept. Chuck's show was a mini series and it didn't make the cut. Probably for the reasons I highlighted in this vid.
90s toons replace morality with Relativism and lots of Action. Sometimes even Sacrificing the plot and character progression for intense action. Though some shows did well with this and more adult geared story telling like BTAS, Justice League, Teen Titans, Spiderman, X-Men and a few others. But cartoons today are just cartoons, they don't focus on right and wrong or anything for that matter. Only time they did in our history is the 1980s.
Thanks, Im ok for Copyright "Cartoon All Stars is a featured RU-vid Animation show" though it's a Documentary...not really an animation. Also a new Intro is being animated to spoof 80's animation in general. Though It won't be ready till the summer.
Ive got some aces up my shelve. I don't have that show on DVD. Im planning on doing the Zelda cartoon soon though & Pirates of Dark Water as well. But I don't know what the next episode is. This takes a lot more prep time then game reviews, hence once a month.
Hey knightwing you are my favorite review person you had enough of games and other things that i can see just like this boring day i can kill some time.Without being bored and playing Super Smash Bros Brawl all day online where everybody taunts pretty boring
In order to prevent that from happening go to settings and then go to autosharing and uncheck the box that says comments. If you want you can uncheck all the boxes except for upload (like I did because I felt like I was spamming).
Bruce died because he took to many hits to the head. Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris did films mostly in the 80s. After Lee's passing different steps were taken for safety to choreographed fight scenes.
There are alot of Action Cartoon based on American Icons. I remember the Mr. T cartoon and Hulk Hogan cartoon. Seem kinda silly but it's a nice show for kids back in the day.
Excellent Vid Series thus far,Luke. Keep it up and Beware of the Copyright whores who will force RU-vid to take down your video or terminate your account. Because to the big Media Organisations (both here and in japan),Fair Use means Crap.
I wouldn't count your chickens yet. If Dodger didn't like this video, it wouldn't have gotten more then 1k views in 24 hrs. This channel is busted and with out help and tons of promotion...it doesn't send out vids to people. Im thankful if it gets the views and i will do another Cartoon for next month.
