I love how Karina and Nathan are both a very specific type of nerd that seem like almost polar opposites but when they hit the same note, it's ALWAYS a good time.

Answering Karina’s question as to why monkeys: Dragon Ball was loosely based on Journey to the West. The Monkey King Sun Wukong was the inspiration for Goku (Son Goku). Ever since Goku was a kid he had a monkey tail to resemble the monkey king and as soon as he saw a full moon he would turn into a giant ape. Basically, the reason for Goku and the saiyans being monkeys is because of Sun Wukong.

I cannot believe I’ve started saying “we all have em” and “they’re just like us” in real life to actual people who know nothing about Drawfee during legitimate conversations.

Julia redrawing the shape of Mr K's body fifty times before then drawing a dress over it and completely erasing the line she'd drawn fifty times is the most Julia thing ever

I find Nathan and Karina's shared giddy at stupid spongebob-madoka fusions alongside Julia and Jacob's silent, passive confusion so endearing. If there was a full Madoka episode of any kind, this would likely be the whole time.

Once Jacob and Julia watch Madoka, they should all design themselves or each other as magical girls - based on Madoka, which I now need to watch.

The only difference between canon Vegeta and Littlefoot Vegeta is that, when Vegeta (the planet) was destroyed, and Vegeta (the king, his father) was killed, instead of just continuing to work for Frieza, Vegeta (the younger, littlefootier version) was very sad about it, then went on a wholesome adventure with a few other surviving saiyan friends, to find some safe planet, all the while being chased by big scary Frieza.

Vegeta loves Bulma so much that when the ASPECT OF DEATH rudely knocks her over, Vegeta screams the loudest scream and punches death in the face. True story.

Madoka Magica was the first Anime I ever watched and I grew up on a healthy diet of SpongeBob so I think it goes without saying that Mr.Krabs as Madoka is the natural end to me and the life I've lived thank you Julia.

Like how Charlotte is "The dessert witch, with a tenacious nature. She desires everything and will never give up. Though she is capable of creating infinite amounts of any dessert she desires, she is unable to make the cheese that she loves most. One could easily catch her off-guard with a piece of cheese."

When Jacob said he was Karina, I thought to myself "Hah, if you were you'd be holding a kni-" and was then pleasantly happy to see him holding a knife. Drawfee knows their fans so well

I'm gonna take you on a bit of a rabbit hole here: The Saiyan homeworld, in the sense of "the planet that Vegeta thinks of as the Saiyan homeworld, and the one that we originally thought of as such", is in fact Planet Vegeta, but it wasn't always. The Saiyans originally came from a planet called Sadala ('salad'), and in fact the Universe 6 Saiyans in the Dragon Ball Super storyline still live there because they're not a warlike conqueror race in Universe 6. The Universe 7 (the main universe of the series) Saiyans left Sadala because it was destroyed by their constant infighting, and settled on a planet called Plant, which was at the time inhabited by a race called the Tsufuru ('Tuffles' or 'Tsuffles' depending on the dub you go by, which is 'Fruits'). Neither the Saiyans nor the Tuffles were the original inhabitants, the Bardock movie shows us that long ago the planet was inhabited by a race only referred to as 'Plant-sei-jin' ('Planet Plant's people'). The Saiyans eliminated the Tuffles (except one, Dr. Lychee, if you follow the non-canon movie timeline, or one, Baby, if you follow the GT timeline instead of the Super timeline, or two, Kamin and Oren, if you follow the Super Dragon Ball Heroes timeline) and rechristened Planet Plant as Planet Vegeta after their king. Who then later named his own son after himself/the planet.

Guest idea, since this sort of turned into a Dragon Ball episode: Sonny Strait is the voice actor of Krillin (as well as voicing a lot of other anime characters, and directing several too) and is also a comic artist. I bet he'd totally be up to be on the show if asked. He has a sense of humor that would fit well, good at making kinda ridiculous pieces of art, and has a level of chaos that would probably just work really well for a guest.

Listining to Nathan and Karina laugh uproariously about the unambiguously hilarious concept of a Madoka Magica AU where Spongebob and Squidward take the roles of Madoka and Homura respectively, over the Jacob and Julia's stone silence, is probably the most fun I've ever had watching drawfee.

Magooka has one of the most captivating art styles and animation that I’ve ever seen. Whoever the studio was, they hella crushed it.

For Karina, wildly late: the turn into monkeys because they’re based on the monkey king and his buds from the journey to the west, which is a poor explanation but I know it gets mentioned better in at least ONE video on RU-vid (I think it’s Overly Sarcastic Productions’ Detail diatribe on why the super saiyan is such an effective mystery and reveal) because when they mentioned it i got super excited that somebody was talking about it lol.
