I forgot to mention they gave up the rights to Pokémon and gave it to Disney instead, and then later Netflix. I wish they kept it on Cartoon Network even though they only aired it at like 6 AM, I remember watching it before school
I still miss when Pokemon would air on Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Because afterwards, it moved to Disney XD which was hard to get used to at first, but came around to it later on, and now it’s officially making new content on Netflix. But despite it airing on Disney XD and Netflix, it didn’t hit the same than it did on Cartoon Network and Boomerang (and even Kids WB)
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Speaking of anime, I wish CN North America would get the rights to broadcast the Asian English dub of Youkai Watch & the UK & Ireland Boomerang broadcast of Doraemon.
even the "live action" era didnt hurt the network as bad as the choices made in the past 8 years..if it wasnt for adult swim this channel would have died a decade ago. its sad really
I felt the same way, especially when throughout that era, the network was nothing more than a channel that aired Teen Titans Go 24/7 barely giving their other shows a chance. It was so annoying, and it helped that were constantly pushing kids to watch shows on their CN app, since nowadays people barely use cable anymore.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviewscartoon network, bring back bunnicula!!!! Now listen, they got rid of the show but' they can era the show again with new episode on Max and Friday night on cartoon network. Because I just got in to that show!!!!! Cartoon network, get your shoot together.
My reason to why the Dimensional Bumpers were medicore is because around time this era began people were starting to cut the cord on cable tv. Also, the fact that Teen Titans Go! took the schedule during this era makes this sad when you realize that other countries like Asia or Latin America had more variety during this era Latin America Precifically, and they should of given shows like The Tom & Jerry Show or Dorothy and the Wizard Of Oz Much more of Chance😡
2010-2015 slapped not gonna lie, regular show was almost done, Clarence peaked, adventure time was good, Steven universe was still good everything just felt like a variety and simple
My theory with this era is that the former CEO Christina Miller wanted Cartoon Network to be like Illumination in the Teen Titans Go represents Minions from Despicable Me Lowbrow unfunny humor and taking over the schedule but still expect tons of money, except that was a HORRIBLE mistake which caused many of it's viewers to stop watching the channel and now her bruises on the network are still present even today.
I think the reason Miller was made president was to drive up revenue from the networks by almost any means necessary. Even if it meant damaging the quality of the networks themselves.
I feel like 2017 was when we started to transition from the Renaissance, to the Dark ages, with Steven Universe Future's end marking the official end of the renaissance.
I feel the same exact way, Cartoon Network went to shit in 2017. I don't care what anyone else thinks. It wasn't 2004, it wasn't 2007, it wasn't 2008, it was 2017!
I call this era Dark Age II and would continue into now Early: 1992-1995 Classic: 1996-2005 Dark Age I: 2006-2009 Renaissance: 2010-2012 Dark Age II: 2013-Present
I have always been interested in CN's bumpers. I have always been trying to recreate them. My favorites were the check it 1.0 bumpers but i like the cn city and much more. The noods were nice too! But something about dimensional was off. And btw dimensional is still the theme in Bulgaria. 2017-now WE NEED A REBRAND
Honestly I feel like they should've tooken a closer look in this era because the other eras from cartoon Network really got the kids engaged on what they were watching on the network but sadly they rely on being modern and hip which ain't a bad thing but do in a way where it doesn't look like you're trying too hard also the old cartoons were timeless
@@ArtieRaccoonReviewsI love CN City because it was the Golden age of Ed Edd and Eddy and puffyamiyumi bumpers, These two show look like they belong in the same multiverse. Ed Edd n Eddy and Ami and Yumi are like siblings.
I have not watched Cartoon Network since Sonic Boom ended in late 2017, because by that time, Christina Miller had turned that network into a dumping ground for Toddler Titans reruns. It doesn't help that Boom does Toddler Titans' concept a million times better by keeping its heroes competent and heroic and not resorting to having episodes about cooties, the wonders of the bathroom, or saying "Waffles" for eleven minutes straight. Christina Miller's not with Cartoon Network anymore, having stepped down in late 2019, but she still left some nasty scars in her wake. With the rise of the MAX streaming service, which I've watched many of CN's past and present shows on, it seems unlikely that I'll watch CN's main channel again anytime soon.
We are still in the worst era of CN, we'll be in it until David Zaslav is out of office and all the shows and movies (animated or live-action) are brought back (DO NOT DARE SAY THEY NEVER CAN BE, I've been trolled and bullied by those saying that and telling me to give up and cry!) And I feel it could happen in the nearby future with both the writers and actors strikes being successful, I feel the animation guild has enough reasons to be unionized and strike as well next year, they're in need for better pay, recognition, and getting all their works back.
I'm well aware, season 2 was almost done and then the Warner Bros Discovery purge happened, it cancelled many projects and exterminated lots of content from HBO Max
We are still in Dimensional here in the UK (the rest of Europe has it too) and simply they add the new shows (e.g ‘We Baby Bears’) in Dimensional branding.
As someone who is in the U.K. and watched CN in the U.K (I watch the USA version now) I got so bored of it because they done TTG all day and Gumball at late nights (literally only two shows) and the unnecessary censorship was annoying and even though it has a decent schedule now I’m still sticking to the U.S version
Nickelodeon rejected Adventure Time (before CN), Bravest Warriors (before it was a web series on RU-vid), even newcomers like Yaki & Yumi, and others all got rejected except for one, "Fanboy" which got greenlit.
I hated teen titans go when I was a kid, I’ve somewhat made peace with it but my main problem still is that dozens of better shows have been getting cancelled in the past few years while teen titans go lives on, it’s not fair
I understand if some people don't like dimensional, in my opinion, i just kinda miss the dimensional era, because i like how weird the bumpers look, with cgi, stop motion, 2d animation, and real life, i really like looking at the cmyk colors it's addicting for me, and tbh my mom had to get rid of directv, and had to use fire stick tv or Roku, so basically i have been living under a rock, since i saw the dimensional era, or redraw your world era, I think
Checkerboard era: Underrated. Starburst era: Cute and funky. Powerhouse era: I have no words. For sure, this one is memorable. City era: That's the ticket. Yes! era: That's of course right. Summer era: Time for a new one. Fall era: The worse one. At least the Fall era was a bit good. Noods era: Cute and adorable bumpers featuring the Noods! Prefuse era: The prequel to one of the best eras: Check It 1.0/2.0 Check It era (1.0 and 2.0 included): The Best Era. Check It 3.0 era: Has one of the most Creative, Beautiful Stunning, and Visual Catching Bumpers. Check It 4.0 era: No Idea. At least Gumball is in there. Dimensional era: The worst one. Bullpen/Sticker era: Cute. Redraw Your World era: Super colorful once again. Pastel era: Eh...? This era is fine, I guess...
I’ve said it before but Justice League Action is the PERFECT example of making a superhero series more humorous and kid friendly but also keeping the aspects of the original that made it so great.
def agree, Dimensional was one of the most horrible eras ever. They just kept the damn era for like 6 years, they should have just stick to Check It. but people probably might be tired of it.
Awesome choice of using Snap from ChalkZone as your profile picture, very underrated Nicktoon. Anyways, I agree and they should've just moved forward with Check It 5.0 instead and built off of what they already had and make something greater.
I remember it being summer when nothing good would be on and I was left at home with my brother who turned on Teen Titans Go. Thankfully, Cartoon Network is showing Regular Show everyday now and not as much Teen Titans Go!
Thought I'd never see the day where Cartoon Network actually cares about Regular Show again. They've been airing it more lately and it gets pretty good ratings!
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews I heard that over half of Cartoon Network's audience is now adults because Gen Alpha is not into live TV. Guess it means Cartoon Network can no longer play Teen Titans Go for like seven hours a day.
The 2019 Christmas season for CN was quite abysmal to me since they advertised two 11-minute Christmas specials for a certain long-running abomination of a cartoon that must not be named instead of giving Christmas specials to multiple different cartoons at the time such as We Bare Bears and Craig of the Creek. Hell, even Craig of the Creek didn’t get a half-hour Christmas special the following year in 2020 for the 2020 Christmas season when it got a Halloween special at that time.
could you possibly do a video on the check it era from 2010 - 2013. I think it's one of the best eras of cartoon network, it had a decent schedule and underrated bumpers. It also introduced Adventure Time, Regular Show, The amazing world of gumball, and Clarence which are good shows
I was born in 2007 and I remember this era quite well. I am almost 17 years old at this point and I could definitely agree with you on this. It all makes sense now. I wonder if many recent cartoons are becoming more child-oriented than before. One thing that makes many 2000s cartoons amazing is that they are for everyone of all ages. Those who grew up with the channel in the 2000s would identify the Fall or Yes Era as the worst. But for those grew up with 2000s cartoons, see the Dimensional Era.
If I remember correctly, It was when the 'Night Begins to Shine' special released that had critics be a bit lighter on panning TTG, hell, I think some people fully realized that even though it was a show that was the biggest slap in the face to core fans with it's tonal shift after a cliffhanger ending, it could still somehow have good moments. I'm absolutely loving your content, I'd actually be up for drawing new portraits/emotes for your sona to be used in future videos, hit me up if you're interested!
Exactly, I don't hate TTG. The problem back in the day was how much it aired and it basically took over the channel. Also I would be more than happy if you could draw my character!
I hate this era so much, this Era ruined my Childhood Mainly Because They'd Kept Airing Teen Titans Go So much, and it’s Very repetitive and Annoying, when ever I see TTG on tv, I just Change the Channel to Boomerang. The only good Thing about This era is the Bumpers since I don’t mind the new Bumpers, I Think The Pastel bumpers are kinda bland to be honest
You know what's the worst thing about this era? The lack of Looney Tunes representation. None of the classic shorts aired around this time outside of Boomerang (and it was like that for years due to the box office failure of Back in Action but at least Cartoon Network from 2004 to 2015 would air Looney Tunes cartoons whenever they felt like it) and Wabbit/New Looney Tunes was just kicked off to the curve on Boomerang.
Yea Cartoon Network lost it’s Touch Around 2016-Beyond But Cartoon Network was Good From 1992/-2015 in My opinion Our Channel had been good from 1966/-2024 Today Since we are still in our Golden Era our renaissance Era began in 2023-2026 Also our 2023/2025 Era
A month before Christiania Miller came in 21st Century FOX sent a bid to buy Warner Bros. If this deal had gone though I feel like the network would be in WAY different place than it currently is. No way Ruppert Murdoch allows Teen Titans Go to be airing on the channel like that.
I have a question did we have to face the king of the Hill theme song in dimensional like we did and check it 1.0 because I sort of don’t remember the sign off
This is how it works: Check It 1.0 Check It 2.0 Check It 3.0 Check It 4.0 Dimensional = Check It 5.0 Mashup = Check It 6.0 Sticker/Bullpen = Check It 7.0 Redraw Your World = Check It 8.0 Pastel = Check It 9.0
Yeah... This and Redraw were both downgrades from the previous eras. Heck, I would even say the Fall and Let's Go eras at least had variety than these two. I'm glad CN had risen back up with the Pastel era, despite the WBD situation.
Fall Era, Noods, and Prefuse/Let's Go were actually great, it just got so much hate because many beloved Cartoon Cartoons concluded and the introduction of CN Real which sucked
Could just be me being born during the era. But I kinda like it. Yeah it's a little "Crumb" compared to the Noods and City Era "Cookie" But yeah I like it.

Honestly, I did like some of the shows from this era, mainly Mao Mao, Mighty Magiswords, Victor & Valentino, and even Mega Man Fully Charged. Though unfortunately, CN's shoddy schedules meant I had to use things like On Demand or Hulu to support the shows even the tiniest bit. Also Mao Mao, V&V and the other purged CN shows (+ Final Space) should be added back to HBO Max. #FireDavidZaslav
Cartoon Network did pick back up again during 2011-2014. Even the extremely nostalgia blind "RIP CN 1992-2004" people even agree that Regular Show is their best modern series.
Adventure time and regular show both had high ratings but you didn’t see them getting marathons on the same level as TTG. What kind of clueless management is that ? Good riddance Clown Miller, seriously do not come back. Running one of my childhood networks into the ground.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews if you know about that aqua teen Boston incident, the channel was just never the same after that. Best president leaving the network and all too.
I even stole that look I bet Cartoon Network’s gonna be pissed when they see that my profile but I do like the dimensional look, but I do hate the shows at that time but I do still like the regular show and adventure time but I hate TTG opinion handled I give it a 6.1/10 that I was born during the check it 3.0 era (2014) but I barely remember check it when I was a baby, but at least I was born during the good CN but what I hate that Cartoon Network did a Teen Titans go Friday parties for a few months and I believe they removed the host C and N at the beginning of the era
@@topdawg2916 yes and my grandparents surprisingly made me watch Cartoon Network around the end of the check it era, even though I was a toddler but I do hate Teen Titans. Go take it up all the timeslots check it is da best
@@Ktheanimatorinc I say theirs two check it eras the one from 2010 to 2013 that had regular show adventure time gumball mad problem solvers action cartoons like Batman brave and the bold generator Rex syn bionic titan young justice etc than the one from 2013 to 2015 had regular show adventure time gumball uncle grandpa Steven Universe clearance etc
i rlly hate CN REAL but i have a question; both TAWOG and Jimmy's Head both featured cartoons characters, so how did Gumball got away while Jimmy's Head didnt?
Gumball isnt mainly live action, in fact the only character to use live action is sussie. Out of Jimmy’s Head is mainly live action and has barely any animation
the noods era was pretty good mostly because flapjack and chowder held it up. i always looked forward to har har tharsdays! and nobody talks about the yes era for some reason.
The Dimensional Era visuals and aesthetics had to be some of the most nauseating and off putting stuff to come out of CN Eras. I was so glad when it was phased out.
It was so off-putting and cringy for the Cartoon Network brand. As bad as the Noods era was, at least it still represented Cartoon Network from that time period unlike Dimensional. They should've just stuck with Check It bumpers until Redraw Your World rolled out internationally
