As much as I love the surreal absurdist humor of Space Ghost C2C, I really have a soft spot for the playful childish humor of Cartoon Planet. They really nailed the tone and type of jokes kids find funny.
@@RealityFranchise Brak: Try Telling That To Undertaker Zorak: Let Me Guess Undertaker= Scary Brak: Precisely For The Idiots That Think He Isn't You All Must Be Either The Following A. Simple-Minded B. Narrow-Minded Or C. Dumb To Even Assume Such Me: I'd Say All Three Of Them
My lord in heaven this is some deep grand nostalgia. I'd have been around 7 years old. I can still remember the 20ish inch TV in my basement and sneaking downstairs to watch this.
I feel like I was just sent back in time to my childhood in the 90's. After watching the whole 9:02 of this. I've come to conclusion why I'm such a fucked up adult.
This triggered my memory so strong but I never forgot these 3 guys This was such a long time ago too the world when this was running was a totally different world that no longer exists
Back in the early 2000s, I used to have 2 CDs of skits and songs from this show on two burnt discs, given to me by a friend/co-worker of my dad. I'd listen to them when I went to bed & used my stuffed animals as the actors.
I was born 6 months before 9/11. This show has always been in the back of my memory and I always dreamt of watching it as an adult since I was too young to comprehend anything that was going on…. Now I got something to watch when I’m high😭
I remember watching this every morning at 6 am on adult swim right before Cartoon Network would come back on the banner after this ended would always be the dawn is your enemy
Funny, I remember I would always check the guide when I was younger and see Cartoon Planet at 5:30 but misread it as Captain Planet as I used to skip through the adult swim part really fast. I never seen this Cartoon Planet though. The only shows I remember seeing at 5:30 on swim was Gigantor, that Chuck Norris show, Voltron, and Astro Boy before they stopped giving old cartoons at that time and started King of the Hill like they do now.
But With Goku And Vegeta As Hosts Goku: Hello Everybody Vegeta: Kakarot You Idiot We're Not Doing That Crap That Brak Did Before You Goku: Fuck You Vegeta: The Hell Did You Just Say? Goku: You Heard Me Fuck You Brak: Hold Up I Don't Remember Or Recall Cussing Being Part Of The Cartoon Or Unless I'm Forgetting Something
shinesengumiMakotoSan They did for a while. It was hosted by Brak and Zorak without Space Ghost, and showed episodes from older Cartoon Network originals (a.k.a. Cartoon Cartoons).
They revived Cartoon Planet for Cartoon Network’s 20th anniversary, they could do it again in 2022 for its 30th anniversary. But they might have to find a new voice actor for Zorak and Moltar as C. Martin Croker passed away.
To be honest, I never watched these kinds of shows when I was growing up (Partly because of the fact that I wasn't alive at the time). Now I wish I did. This is awesome.
It's funny: I never thought I'd pay attention to commercials/bumpers...but I remember most of these, and it feels so nostalgic to see them again. :) I'd also like to send my condolences to Mr. Croker (the voice of Zorak and Moltar). May he rest in peace.
Man, I used to stay up late just to watch this show, I love Cartoon Network. Toonami, Adult Swim, and all the classic shows: Dexter's Laboratory, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd and Eddy among others. Love it.
Used to watch this with my dad. He ain't dead, he just doesn't know this is on RU-vid and I'm not ready for him to restart the tradition of The Brak Marathon.
Some of CNS shows are pretty good, such as wabbit, we bare bears, ect. But others..... let's just say TTG, Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe, ect. Let's say CN is still doing a lot better than nick.
Sheesh- I wish media companies would just make stuff available *somewhere* instead of pulling content that's not available... in any format, anywhere. I'd gladly buy a Cartoon Planet DVD set if they would make it available... just like I've bought albums after listening on RU-vid.
This is sooo funny. I saw the revival of this last friday, and wanted to look into the origins, and I find this absolutely hilarious. Thank you for your post. Look forward to seeing more!
I really REALLY miss this. Especially since it's a bunch of cartoon characters who are SUPPOSED to be serious acting like a bunch of morons. XD "Hey Zorak?" "Yeah?" "YOU'RE BRINGING ME DOWN, MAN!" "Hey Moltar?" "Yeah?" "YOU'RE BRINGING ME DOWN, MAN!"
Undertaker Can Be Both Serious And Funny LOL Look At Undertakers Impersonation Of Brak (Andy Merrill) It's Spot On, Accurate, Hilarious And Funny As Hell Here's One Of Them Undertaker: Zorak You Are The Dumbest Idiot On This God Forsaken Planet I Could've Killed You If I Had The Option To Brak: Damn If Undertaker Had Said That In Character He'd Be Hated
space ghost was the only cartoon i was always waitin at the end of the night when i was a kid fuck this guys made me high without usin weed in that time hahaha xD.
did anyone read the sign after Brak's story of the attendance thing? it said: Approved by NECPEAL. Non Existant Cartoon Planetary Education Association, Inc. :P
+Captain B. Zarre That's fine. Teen Titans Go just isn't for me. I feel like that cartoon tries to make jokes out of anything no matter how bad the punchlines are. They destroyed the characters personalities too much too for me just like all these cartoon reboots based on classic cartoons.
cartoon planet was the spin off the space ghost crost to crost. it was second show in 1998 along with cartoon network shows. in 2012,cartoon planet was rebroadcast with all original cartoon network shows.
So I'm guessing while all the three of them are doing this Moltar was hosting Toonami? That would actually be a good in Universe explanation on why is not here.
I like Regular Show, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, & Clarence but all those shows combined don't have shit on Cartoon Planet in the 90s. Or Cow and Chicken, Two Stupid Dogs, Deters lab the first 3 seasons, Johnny Bravo, & etc.
