Don't get me wrong I love Bushcraft and carving it all from hand tools but it is nice to mix it up a bit unlike some other channels that are dedicated to one or the other. I noticed how you picked a piece of fatwood for the spoon. Is that for moisture resistance or just happenstance ? Also Kudo's to you for using sharp tools. My wife can never understand why I spend hours on the kitchen knives, my pocket knives and my shop tools. Plants do have genders, with male plants and female plants, but some plants have male and female parts all on the same plant. Most conifers (pine trees, etc.) have both male and female cones on the same tree. The male cones produce pollen, and the female cones produce seed. So it is certainly possible that the part where he was excising the spoon was a lady part.
