I put off using manual for 5 years. Now I don't think people explain why to use it properly "you gave more control of the car" means you have more control of the torque coming out the wheels so you can control the speed of the car and reduce or increase wheel spin as required at any moment. Completely transformed driving games to be 10x better.
All good tips. I would consider myself better than most (from what I've seen ) and I see alot of people unable to do a wide curve. The e brake is your friend. Get the speed up and hold the e brake to slide wide. If you think your front bumper might hit the wall hold the e brake and you will slide out and back into a wide drift.
@@JEsterCW strange because I have both PS4 and PC and everytime I play cross platform it's the PC players ramming everyone I've moved on anyways. Got boring
As a day 2 noob I have found that tapping your brakes during a drift rather than your e brake can help you slow yourself down enough to gain control again and swing inside enough to miss the outside wall. Each car has its own quirks tho so whatever works for yours! 👍
Btw, for anybody looking to get better in that they want to eventually do comp drifting. Don't hug the inside line, hug the outside line instead. Hugging the inside line is for if you want to get into race drifting, which is totally different from the usual comp drifting which focuses on style over speed.
The real problem is when toxic people crash into you (ON PURPOSE) Then start a ban/kick vote of you and you end up getting banned/kicked. I started around 2/3 days ago and I’m already (wouldn’t say pro) but good. I’m a ‘noob’ and the starter car feels the best, but I have a Miata and starter car. Just unlock the cool old fashion GTR looking thing, (that a lot of pros use) your video also REALLY helped! Thank you! (What’s your Xbox username? (I’m assuming your on Xbox bc of the D-pad.) we could play sometime and do practice tandems! Bye! (Love from Canada 🇨🇦)
In my opinion the first tip to get a pro is: use high ackerman! Otherwise it‘s no challenge to be good at all… drifting is about pushing the limits yk Other than that good tips and nice quality video. Especially the mic quality👌🏼🔥
Do you have a video on how the game's points system works? Like how does the multiplier work? How do you bank the points safely? What conditions cause you to lose the points? What constitutes an ultimate angle? Etc
U will keep ur combo as long as you don’t get stopped or run off the track. The combo bar increases with the more drifts and maxes out at a 5x multiplier. Once you get the points they will b banked to your score no matter what.
I like this channel bro, could u do more setups doesn’t have to be crazy, literally burner setup the best setup, so can u try and keep it with the same feel, I understand all the cars handle differently
bro take in right. i played the game for so damn long on manual clutch with xbox controller and i’m at absolutely cracked at it, then my friend told me about that and now i’ve switched cause it’s way faster.
when i hit corners i try to keep my ass end as close to the wall as i can without touching the whole time. i think it looks way cleaner than on the inside. slower drift usually but clean and car gets fully sideways often
Nice vid for those who don’t know much about drifting!! I will call you out on something though, you said keep clutch to automatic then said just clutch kick.. can’t do it on auto lol good vid though my guy
yeah thats the problem dude, in 2 gear the car has a lot of torque and energy, which can and does make it harder to handle than in higher gears.. try it out, next time this happens try to replicate the same situation but use one gear higher or even 2 gears higher and check the results
new sub here❤️, cool video. I am playing on mobile and I can't maintain my drift line😅. I'm a new player probably 4 or 5 months already but I'm still struggling to look good like pros like you in drifting😅. I'll check your channel later for proper throttle controls...
haha I'm no pro, but I'm just trying to share my knowledge in the game. Thank you so much for the kind words. If there is any videos you have in mind for me too do please let me know here :)
I just got carx 2 days ago I can do red rock and hold x5 multiplier the whole time but when I try to tandem I spin out cause I can't keep up with other people or I can keep up if I stay back 1 or 2 car lengths Getting on their door is super hard for me and I feel terrible when I take people out behind me trying to follow me 😂😭
Ngl this game feels like ass on a g29. Idk if its my settings but ffb was so jittery i legit deleted the game and went back to assetto corsa immediately
Please don't listen to this guy, no offense but I've been playing in Carx since 1st day of release and i was around top ppl in this community, so use both clutch and gearbox on manual also this guy seems like he has terrible tune for his car + he prolly uses 120adh which is pathetic and cringy, please dont use anything above 100adh! you wanna drift not be like a super sonic and barely slide and be smooth. You have to get a decent tune for ur car, and keep in mind each car is different in some cases some tunes could work for x car, but you will always be suposed to adjust some aspects of tune. If you would ask why manual gearbox, cause you wanna have control of ur car, switching gears is important and the wider the turn is going to be the higher gear usually u wanna hit, it all depends on the setup and gear ratio and others, but if u wanna catch someone drop the gear for a while and cut a lil bit it will add u some power then switch back to higher gear as soon you will be close to the other person's door cause higher gear means smoother and slower even tho u have higher speed. Clutch is used to boost ur rpms and sometimes when u switch gears, but not always atleast not in this game. Overall use 90-100(90adh is the best and the most fun and "pro" to play with anybody who is great and in really good teams plays only 90adh no cap)switch gearbox to manual if yourent used to manual settings keep ur clutch on automatic till u wont be familiar and friendly with manual gearbox and as soon as you will get used to manual gearbox switch clutch to manual too. Theres many tips, but basically without a tune and manual gearbox this game makes no sense and overall drifting.
This is more like an intermediate tutorial rather than a beginning. Didn't teach how to even start a drift, how to steer correctly, just settings and tech for people who already know how to drift
No offense at all, but having "controller assist" on eliminates the need to counter steer, thus eliminating alot of what makes drifting so difficult. Have you ever tried with it off?
