Cascade and Porter | Adirondack 46er 

It was such a beautiful day in the Adirondacks again! I came back up to add Cascade and Porter to my 46er list, with the intention of also doing Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge right after, but those plans changed. After climbing to the extraordinarily exposed summit of one of the most heavily traveled high peaks in the Adirondacks, Cascade Moutain, I enjoyed the amazing views of the rest of the park from its summit. It is amazing to look towards the Great Range from a different perspective, after just hiking the ultra traverse only 9 days prior. Cascade has an awe-inspiring 360-degree view of the surrounding area. After spending a brief time on the 36th highest mountain in the Adirondacks at 4,098', I made my way over to Porter. Porter had several lookouts before the official summit, with a nice overlook back at the summit of Cascade. Porter, the 38th highest mountain in the Adirondacks at 4,059' was now checked off the list, setting me at 24/46 done!
