Hi Dave; Yep! Kinda " jumped a shark" on that one. Caddy is bright Farmall Red. Sorry I blew the surprise but I have a ton of content on that behemoth LOL. Really glad that dozer finally runs and drives backwards and forwards....Thanks as always Dave!!! John
Hey John that Conner don't mess around. He must've learnt from you get in there and getter done. Hey was that your pretty red Caddy there in the back. Awesome
Hi Dean; As any Dad I am very proud of Connor. When he was little, probably even 4 years old, and I had a 9-5 factory job weekends were still spent working on trucks and cars and whatever was on the plate. He always loved it. My older sons had zero interest in that kind of thing so they spent their time on music. Here is where you can hear it. ru-vid.com/show-UCHEQIMSmg5_Mmr1LqjPyLWAabout. LOL!! Ya caught me! bad edit. Was gonna keep it under wraps until the videos came out but yeah its bright Farmall Red. With varying amounts of success. Stay tuned real life and videos are about 3-4 weeks apart. Sorry for blathering on but your comment really made my day and I am very appreciative!! John
Might play with the injector pump timing to clear up the smoke. I had a grader that smoked like that and changing the timing cleared a lot of it up. Those old dozers are meant to run using the foot throttle and to decelerate to shift from forward to reverse. The hi-low shift can be done full throttle. I would shift the hi-low one at a time so the machine does not come to a stop.
Hi Leif; I think the one floor pan has a pedal for decelerations. We still have some assembly to get her fully operational. Must be that pinion is a weak link cuz we had two transmissions with the same broken tooth. And full throttle direction changes can't be good. Thanks for the advice. Probably will give timing a try too! hope you enjoyed the vid and thanks for watching! John
