Casefile is *by* *far* the best and most ethical true crime content that I’ve ever come across on youtube or any podcast app. Georgia Marie and Truly Criminal are two other channels that don’t make me feel bad about myself for listening, but neither would even claim to compete with this. Georgia Marie’s channel is where I heard about Casefile, and I’m grateful for it.

I just listened to this episode yesterday. Denson was the last known person with her, she strangely followed him, they were in a shady parking lot, he was being super sketchy with her phone and his calls to her, the cars entering and leaving that lot, the weird voice messages left of the both of them were found…. Not to mention she had just met him for the first time. He wouldn’t even bring the phone to her workplace when Julie asked him to multiple times. Am I missing something here? It seems obvious that he is at least involved if not responsible. I found it weird that police didn’t look further into him as a suspect. To me it seems pretty clear…

Yea I thought the same things but he was even told by randy that night to bring it to pf changs I think he didn't want to and tried to guess her password and why he called her fb to see if the phone would let him check stuff without unlocking it and I really doubt she would have driven off the boat ramp

RIP Danniella. I rarely post on videos but I wanted to say a couple of things. I hope the truth does out, for her daughter and her family. This case feels very much like someone is guilty of something bad. I did look for an update and saw she would of been 30 in March and that there was a vigil. Also some people won't believe it but her coming to her daughter in a dream to let her know she has passed on but is ok and will continue to come see her is something I experienced only once in my life time and it was a message for someone else and not me. There's something about these dreams and it's hard to explain but I personally believe it. I'd probably be sceptical if I had never experienced it myself.
@carriefawcett9990
@carriefawcett9990 9 месяцев назад
I have these dreams too. I have had visits from my grandparents, my father, my dog and my best friend's mum, all who've passed over the years. Visits seem different than usual dreams, it's hard to explain but you know the difference. My sister has had them too.

I am so sad to hear this is how the story ended. She was a young woman trying to turn her life around and be a good mom and she reminds me a lot of my own daughter. It is so sad to think one night of celebrating the goal of buying a car took everything away from her and I truly believe somebody was behind her death. There are too many unexplained questions and I’m sad the police want to slap a Band-Aid on this case and call it closed. I will always hope that the truth will come out eventually and Daniella‘s friends and family will have the answers they seek.

The Facebook messages was his poor attempt to fabricate an ailibi! I live in Saraland and there's a lot more questions than answers. Cars that are in park don't roll unless forced! I think Denson, Randy, or someone drugged her or even have her a Xanax and took advantage of her. She was not the victim of a random attack someone she was with did it. Maybe a stalker from the car lot and had access to her gps coordinates? Nobody randomly would or could have drive to the boat launch in saraland! Find out who had knowledge of that boat launch

Please read my comment above!! I live in Mobile and I agree. A car can not be moved in park period. You would be dragging it. Unless you are on a steep incline. Not a boat ramp but like what you see going around mountains or parking in san francisco. You know they auctioned her car off to a buyer in china??? Someone saw it online and contacted the news. AND the back seat belt had a portion cut out!! I think she was strangled. I think Mobile police department and coroner are use to obvious signs of trauma like gun shot wounds, beatings and stabbings. They were too inexperienced to handle this. They never get crimes like this. We have so many unsolved murders but not as many homicides in general compared to other counties. Yet they can not solve them. They deal with domestic violence and homicides involving guns and drugs.

Hello Mr BC. This report is particularly well done, sir. It seems to me that the research and the organization of said collection of research has been very well arranged to optimize our understanding and definitely our connection to this family and her loved ones. Miss Julie truly loves Daniella and little Miss Cora. It is evident that she supported and did her best to help Daniella live her best life and Julie continued total support her as Cora’s mother. While she, her husband (and eventually Cora’s daddy), were doing most of the daily care for the little girl. This is a very good, righteous and loving Godly woman. Can not say enough about the respect this MIL deserves. She has my total respect As far as her causing her own accident into the Bayou-that is complete BS. She got there and didn’t hit anything or anyone? BS I think she was put there. 100%. And not right away. She clearly would have been seen. Get a grip. That last person with her has some explaining to do. What was going on during the fb calls. Why was that man trying to pretend to call her when he clearly had her phone. Why did he pretend to not know her when he was actually the last person to see her alive. Come on Mobile. You are not some dumb country bumpkins from the 40s. You have every bit access to all the scientific advances of the 21st century

A car in park, w/ebrake activated? She may have been too drunk to be driving and even if she wasn't she was definitely buzzed. The caller at the end states that road was deep off the beaten path and very dark it doesn't sound to me it would be a road she would've tried. The last man to be with her,Denson, was his phone ever checked to see if his pinged off any towers near that area? He obviously had his on him and could've easily drove her with someone following. Now the ebrake being activated throws off the accident theory because who would pull the ebrake AFTER they accidentally hit water. That rear window being open an inch or two,was on purpose. Most people especially in Alabama would be driving with driver's side down if there's was no a/c on because as stated, the engine was off. Normally a cars ebrake has some slight movement and could be pushed off the boat ramp but this was brandnew /used and dealership would've made sure it was working in order to pass inspection. Could it have been in neutral first and pushed then she pushed it into park to stop the rolling n when that didn't work quick enough she yanked the ebrake? She wouldn't have been able to open windows or unlock since car was off, and car probably wouldn't start once submerged in water, so she was pushed and was drowned. Prayers to Cora n her family.

I live in Mobile, Alabama. Her murder makes me soooo mad! They auctioned her car off to a buyer in china. Someone happened to see it online and told the news. Oh and her back seat seatbelt was CUT OUT. Gone. It made no sense for her to end up where she was. She told the guy (I think he killed her) that she had left her cell phone at the bar. Where she ended up was in the opposite direction. She would have had to get on the interstate and know where that boat ramp was to get to it. If it was an accident she would have gotten her phone first. It's a habit everyone has. To check it. Scroll mindlessly through it. She would have went back for it first. That's where she was going so how in the less than 5 minutes to where she left her phone change her mind and not get it and drive into a boat ramp in Saraland?? He barely knew her. My most important question no one asked is how did he get her phone? She was on her way somewhere else after she got her phone. He barely knew her and drove to the bar and they gave him her phone???? I thought maybe he stole the phone from her for whatever reason. To distract her and get her vulernable. What he made up as a reason to have it. Anyone else would think we'll she didn't show up. She must not want to hang out. She went home. Barely knew her but went back to the bar she left the phone at when it would have taken her one minute to get the phone and go to the other bar she had supposedly told him she was going. By the time he got there she would have been gone since she was getting the phone. She went out of the way to go from the first to the second place. Once again that HE supposedly said she was going. It makes more sense for him to have lied about it and would explain her choices in route. She bought a car that day and was out celebrating. Nothing is going to make her suicidal and an accident she was would have had her phone first. This guy needs to be locked up. I also found it weird the police find her while doing a scuba diving practice. Whatever. Mobile police and the coroner for the county are use to homicides involving obvious signs of trauma. Being shot, stabbed or beaten. I think she was strangled and from the inexperience people that worked on this case could not see this due to decomposition. Trained and experienced individual's in this line of work would have been able to determine strangulation even on a decomposed body. The top of the car was one foot under the water at the end of the boat ramp. You could have stood on her car. Yet she was down there for a year until the police decide to do scuba training in this very little known boat ramp??? Ughh!!!! Unbelievable.

I wonder if he didnt volunteer to drive her since she was buzzing and in a new car that under financing. Then he wouldve taken the opposite turn telling her he needed to stop at that gas station. I think denson is behind it too. You could here them talking and she clearly said - you're scaring me. And I dont know what the dont touch that business was all about. She found something he didnt want her too. Maybe gloves and some rope and a roll of duct tape or stuff like that?? The fact is that this case shouldve been easily solved.

This was no accident. Like people have said, a drunk girl would not have been able to drive all the way over to that area (hard to get to and not well known) without hitting something first. She did not go there willingly, if she was even the one driving. She barely knew Denson, and you can tell how much authority he had over her in the voicemails, where she says "you're scaring me." He then decides to hold onto her phone, ignoring pleas to hand it over to coworkers. He was the last one to be seen with her. He disabled her GPS at the shell gas station, before heading to that remote area and killing her, staging it as a drunken "accident." It was only minutes away to the bar to get her phone (according to his story), so why would she be all the way over there? This was a clear homicide. What a coincidence the GPS is turned off right at the gas station. I can't believe the incompetence of this police station. They should be sued for negligence. They claimed they didn't capture CCTV footage, and did they even ping Denson's phone? Was Mallory questioned? This is a huge injustice.

So wait, she took painkillers that she wasn't prescribed and the bottle specifically says you shouldn't drive while under the influence of them. Then she then drank alcohol which is something you aren't supposed to do on them because they make you feel intoxicated, dizzy and mentally unwell but she did it anyways and THEN she decided that she'd be fine to drive? Yeah I don't think this was anything but her reckless behavior, and I don't think the police are in the wrong for having that information and then spending their time on cases that are actually important. I think she got herself hurt and we should just be grateful that she didn't hurt anyone else anymore.

I preach this to my friends and family, you should always keep a window breaker and pocket knife in your vehicle at all times, preferably on your key chain. They make a combo seat belt cutter, window breaker that is small and fits on a key chain or hangs on seat belts, it is crazy how many people die from driving into water and are not able to escape! A simple $20 tool could have saved many lives!

Woooow you gotta wonder why MPD DON'T seem to wanna SOLVE this case could it be that maybe 1 of their own are involved?? Its a red flag getting rid of her car so fast & not telling ne1 about the broken seatbelt in the back ! ! ! Also the investigators who1st found the car said it would be difficult to tell where Danniella was sitting becuz of the decomposition but yet the police insist she wuz in the drivers seat IMO if sum1 from MPD wasn't directly involved they KNOW who wuz & could be close friends with the person but they are hiding something thats for sure & Just a resident of the bayou said that given all the activity that goes on there that there wuz no way the vehicle had been there undetected for over 9 months come on this poor girl got ROBBED of justice I'm glad she has to people in her life that care becuz the MPD sure as hell don't ! ! ! 🙏R.I.P Danniella🙏Give this girl & her family the justice they deserve ! ! ! Here's another example of why so many HATE the police ! ! !
@gracee.4657
@gracee.4657 7 месяцев назад
Aint no way the police dont have some level of involvement, even if their involvement was simply turning their heads the other way. If they cared, why not investigate her phone messages more and the voicemessages left, try and identify or profile the male voice in the call or figure out what they were saying. Even leaving out details about the car like the seatbelt was important info to release. And if they thought her death was an accident, why keep the case open unless it was to satisfy her friends and family they were "doing their job". It doesnt say in the video, but were the people she last saw interviewed more after the report or after she was found? Was there no cause of death found? What about any toxicology or autopsy reports. You hear about cases with less known information being solved. The police werent preventing her case being solved, but they certainly weren't helping. She was known to be caring for her daughter and wanting and starting on a path upwards in life before she went missing, so why say her death was an accident, even while they note there was evidence she was conscious and trying to get out of the car while it sank. The suspect could have knowledge of how phones track the user which is why they left it at the bar on a car so it didnt look suspiciousand if the car was 2014, i would assume it had some sort of tracking in it other than the post installed onr by pearl automotive. If the police really cared, they would have kept the car for evidence or in case of a breakthrough, not give it back to be sold as parts. And police finding the car is shady itself because they could have tampered with the scene before officially reporting or investigating and no one would be the wiser.

I’d also wanna see cc tv footage from the bar where he found her phone and see if that’s in-fact how he ended up with it. It is weird as hell that one of the cops just happened to mark the sunken vehicle's location for a 'training exercise' without knowing what it was. Weird to the extent that I find it pretty hard to believe. Seems pretty convenient to me that a whole pack of cops were there for a 'training exercise' when, oh, gosh! It's a car! And we just learned that! All of us here, together! Nah. And public safety/evidence recovery diving is a specific certification. To do it, you have to be certified to do it. This cop was gonna bring a group of certified specialist divers out to a freakin lake to have a look-see at some random object when he didn't even know what it was? Really? He wasn't going to check that first? Was he a dive instructor, this cop, so that he could do any meaningful training in the first place, of people who were already trained? Seriously...nah.

Everything about this case seems to have been mishandled! The podcast host apparently had contact with the family but didn't have the information to say whether she had sat in her car for and hour or so before heading to the second bar or if she had gotten a lift. Plus it would have been easy enough to determine if the voicemails were created around the same time that the gps was disconnected. It cannot be a coincidence that she goes missing at the same time that is cut. But for me, the most disturbing factor is that the older Male friend of a friend (the man with her phone) did not just return it to randy at heros bar. At the end of the events surrounding her loss of the phone cannot be corroborated and the Facebook messages and calls between them before and after the meeting at the closed petrol station do not explicitly discuss it. As far as I'm concerned the older man at the bar was involved.

Nah the only evidence there suggests she was under the influence, committed a crime by driving under the influence and getting into a wreck after having multiple substances in her that they specifically say not to drive while taking because it can cause accidents. She likely did this multiple times before and that's why no one is particularly surprised by what happened, she likely kept the same company that she did while being a drug addict too so they're probably used to her ignoring her children and zoning out

I think it’s great that you are helping families out, especially when the feel left out in the cold by law enforcement. My two main questions after listening: what did the guy say that met her at the gas station say about their meeting? That whole part seemed really vague and he seems like the person that would have the most to contribute to what happened . What were they doing while parked? Why would she follow him just to say “I left my phone at the bar”? I understand it’s confusing, but is the families only proof that it wasn’t an accident that the boat ramp was hard to find? What caused the damage to the body of the vehicle and what was the condition of the gps unit that ceased functioning? That last bit is really confusing. Why would she disable it and if it was someone else how did they know it was there?
@kaylawhite7280
@kaylawhite7280 4 года назад
John M To answer your first question, Denson (the guy with her at the gas station) claims that he had decided not to go to the third bar and was headed home. He said Danniella must’ve been confused and followed him 3 miles before flashing her headlights. After she flashed her headlights, he pulls over into a closed gas station in a rough part of town where she tells him that she lost her phone. They supposedly spent 20 or so minutes looking for her phone before deciding to head back to the bar to look for it
@probableflaws3597
@probableflaws3597 4 года назад
kayla white sounds reasonable but my immediate question to that was why didn’t she follow him out of the gas station and/or why didn’t he wait to make sure she was following him before continuing. Seems like the common sense thing to do. There might be a good answer to it but I’d like to hear it.
@cheryllees8441
@cheryllees8441 4 года назад
@John M You think that sounds reasonable? I think it sounds ludicrous. Makes no sense whatsoever. And why would a girl who never went very far, drive herself into a different town and off a boat ramp?? Answer: she wouldn’t. Plus the audio/voicemail, which is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever heard. Sometimes you just have to use your perception and intuition when you listen to a story. The answer is usually always in there somewhere...

Whoever disabled the GPS killed her. Am I the only one who thinks she was intercepted by a dodgy car dealer(s) who took a liking to her that day. Tracked her and befriended her at the fuel station. Drove her to a quiet spot where something went very wrong and they disposed of her. I can’t believe that the dealership can have access to GPS tracking like that! Surely that is a contravention of civil liberties…

My dad use to repo cars but it was without tracking devices. He die it the old school way. Thats if the car lot finances it through a bank. Its not ur property yet. Make on tie payents adnot get behind otherwise they get what your paid, downpayment whatever monthly payents and ur car to resale it again for the same price. Less a $1000 or so for mileage.
