I just bought a 40XT which runs alright but searching for help to learn how to perform basic maintenance, I've learned much viewing your video, I like your style using basics and explanations too. Thank You!
@@99Projects Yes it does, I was told it's about 60hp. I'm looking for a service manual for future maintenance but nothing too heavy, I was glad to see how you opened the cab, I will be trying that later today after I pick up air and oil filters. The machine has 3,300 hours in it.
Nice to see someone fixing parts instead of just replacing with some cheap Chinese junk. Also reminded me I have to do the chain case oil on my old JCB 185
Just curious, not criticizing but why would you dump the fuel from the old filter into the new filter instead of using known fresh clean fuel? I do like the clearance you get when you raise your cab over my bobcat. Nice job on repairing your belt tensioner, I had always just replaced them when mine went bad. It's nice to know that I maybe able to repair it and save money over replacing.
why would you flip old fuel filter onto new, the allows all the contaminants to get on the clean side of the new fuel filter and into the rest of the fuel system.
I just purchased a 60xt and I keep blowing the interlock fuse. I think it might be related to the tilt solenoid after a little bit of research. Its not cheap part so Im not ready to change the part out just yet. Have you ran into this at all?
I have not. The entire electrical system on mine had been hacked apart and basically all that was left was what the machine absolutely needed to run. It gave me some issues recently and it took absolutely all of the rest of the electrical that was left except the 3 wires the machine needs to run. I would check any wires related to the interlock and make sure there not rubbing on the chassis somewhere
I’m new to this , I just bought a 60XT. It was not working due to some electrical issue but I got it to work. I’m going to change all fluid and filter.. my question is what hydraulic grade do I used and for some reason it’s doesn’t move forward or backwards. But it does lift up and down.. what can be the problem. Will low fluid cause any of that?
There’s a hydraulic lock under the left front of the cab it’s a little square box with small hoses going into it. There’s a wire that sends 12v to that box to let hyd fluid pass which allows the machine to move forward and backwards….to the best of my understanding. I’d try to power that directly with a jump back or off the battery and see if that fixes your problem
