Case makes AWESOME machines, I've had a " few " flops.. but so has everyone else with their equipment. It happens. I've been in almost everything, minus a few off the wall excavators. I can attest that you'll see a old case rolling around on a job site somewhere in your area, I can put money on it. The one I'm used to operating is a old case 580b backhoe... Got it out of a junk yard for 350 dollars, replaced the filters and did an oil change, and she roared right up ( minus bleeding the rail... that's a given.) Spent about 500 total to get her sparkly and she's running to this day from 1996 when it was first pulled out of the junk.
Some equipment manufacturers are beginning to get that designing machinery for combat conditions is a great sales tool. Simpler to train new people on, maintenance and repair are expedited with fewer parts and easier access. Plus, as you note, operators have fewer cab distractions and complex controls enabling them to more fully concentrate on the job at hand. KISS, right?
I cannot see any reason why CASE would not hook you up with a discount after this review!!! Fun to watch you guys have fun doing what you love, thanks for sharing!!!
I got to tell you guys i bought 1 Case Cx145 sr and love it. Then bought 2016 Case Backhoe after looking and operating New Holland, John Deere, etc. The case i ended up purchasing. The service from GROFF Tractor formally (Trico) has great service coming out when there are any issues. Now last summer i purchased a brand new New holland which now only has 700 hour had a hose clamp coolant line blow off after 1 hour of operation when purchased new. 700 hrs toaday machine in shop till friday for a hydraulic valve body problem, when i get this back im trading this sucker in.2015 kubota purchased also 2015 ended up i shop 1 time and 2-4 regeneration problems which prevent you from operating thumb if alarm turns on. got question ask me. i spent over 1 million dollars on equipment.
+Bill Dolan I think it was an L180? It was bad for the first 4 years and then finally we got all the bugs fixed. Something like $17,000 in warranty work
The new cx57c case excavator is an amazing machine, we use one to clear land and it never fails to impress us everyday, we use it almost everyday and it has an amazing breakout force and like you said, its almost to much power for the machine it is
Great review! I work for that dealer in a different area. You should ask the guys about Leica machine control. I think you would really like a robotic total station for estimating and complex grading projects. Would be able to grow into 3D machine control on a skid attachment or small dozer with it as well. Cool videos!
Machine looks similar to kobelco. Whats the seat like. Been operating a kobelco.3.5 t machine. Dont know if same seat or different. ThTs my one complaint. Sore back a little bit.
Awesome review man. Always getting into new equipment, and getting straight to work, don't need a 4 inch manual, to read twice to understand all the buttons and knobs, as you explained.
Hey Stan! Always like your video. You Know that Case and New Holland is the same thing and I really like new Holland's actually owned buy the Italian Fiat. Really good machines and is telling you a guy with over 20 years of experience on heavy equipment operation. 👍
Any advice for someone that hasn't run an excavator smaller than a john deere 200? I'm looking to rent a mini excavator for some work on a property of mine but I work in forestry equipment, so everything I run is much bigger, (Komatsu PC400, Cat 350, etc.) Is there anything drastically different I should expect with the mini excavators? Thanks, love the channel BTW.
sumitomo is Case & link Belt just different design on interior and exterior in some ways, just look on cab the blue over sea triangle. Hitachi = john deere. etc
I am also a fan of there mini's and there "midi" size class (the cx75 and 80). But I will say the at 4:45 when he says its at full throttle it was actually at the lowest idle speed. That lever in the back is the idle, and the one in front of it is the blade. If it were at full idle speed then it would have been pushed in the opposite direction. Can't full the people who have the machines.
Awesome review. I been trying to get a yanmar for a year their customer service is terrible been lied to and gave the run around. Going try get a min case.
Something that could us Noob dirt movers is to put the nomenclature or advertised name i the title so it would be easier to find, thanks for the great review!
have you ever used a case 1085C wheeled excavator! My friend used it. It's his first time to use it and When I was spotting for him, I thought it's going to tip sideways! Will it?
57c case is nothing but problems, have it for 3 years and just now my digital screen quit working, guy at case dealership told me this machine is one of the worst
hey there, just wanted to let you that the case, new holland and kobelco mini excavators are all the same. same with the new holland skids and case skids. awesome review tho! just makes me want to buy a kobelco
If you had to start your business from scratch again, what would be the first piece of large power equipment you would purchase? What skidsteer do you recommend for the residential landscaping business? How about for the residential tree removal business?
+Eden Lawn Care I would purchase a truck, trailer and medium sized skid steer. I prefer Bobcat but have ran all of them and owned many of them. The important thing is the service provider in your area. What shop will that piece of equipment be going to and how they take care of you.
I know right? The guy is a total Nimrod. Who does a review and never mentions the model? But hey, that's why he needs YT money to offset his dirt business. Now, YT pays him more than his Dirt Monkey side hustle. Go figure. Lol!
What size boom would you recommend, medium or long, for best "all around" use? Have you operated the CAT 305.5 E2? I'm wondering how this machine compares.
+Lsatq Medium- it has a good power and balance. I have snapped a boomed on a n excavator-so be careful with the long booms. Never ran that Cat machine 305
Get a Komatsu, any age, any size. Talk about an eye opener. Always found Case to be a good solid machine, they also make one of the best backhoe/loader on the market. But Komatsu is just unstoppable, a life long love affair for me. But any machine nowadays is good, especially any made in Japan. John Deere are rubbish though and the company should change their name to the Deere John. Make lovely looking machines, but otherwise are fuel guzzling mechanical disasters.
my case 580 super N got 340 hrs on it and having issues with the loader not holding the load, slowly it drops and wont hold unless u pull on the control to stabilize it should of got the extended warranty.
listen im a fan but lets be honest your payed by case so plz say listen im payed by case but there great. i know your honest and wouldnt lie to us but plz be honest i live you channel i hope this dont come across the wrong way. i might be wrong but plz be honest i believe if its the honest truth
